Very Relaxing Atmosphere
Very Relaxing Atmosphere
Thanks to the owners for sharing their wonderful cabin with us. It was just what we needed. My husband and I live in the fast paced DC area and we so needed to get away from it all. After our second day we were both totally relaxed! I think we enjoyed the hot tub the most. It's quiet up in the mountain (except for the frogs and birds of course). We only came down off the mountain once to do the tourist thing and get more supplies. But the cabin is close enough to go shopping and all kinds of activities each day if you want a faster pace time...not us! The pictures on the web does not do the cabin justice...it's much nicer! I love the kitchen too! Thanks again.

Labor Day Relaxation
Labor Day Relaxation
Thank you so much for sharing your relaxing home. We were looking for relaxation and privacy and found both! As a frequent weekend cabin renter, this was by far the most well maintained cabin we have found. Everything was meticulously clean. We had everything needed to cook meals. It is high altitude but newly paved roads lead to the cabin so it wasn't a problem. It was easy to get into Pidgeon Forge using the road from the cabin (Wears Valley) and we avoided fighting the traffic until we got there. Thanks again and we look forward to visiting again.

Enjoyed our Time There
Enjoyed our Time There
My wife, son and I stayed here in July. Since we are originally from the area we knew we wanted to stay in Wears Valley area since it is close enough to tourist attractions like Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge, but not in the middle of the traffic and people. We liked the seclusion of the cabin and being away from it all is what drew us here, but the only reason I did not rate the overall experience as excellent was because of the distance it was from anything. Since we were coming back to the area to visit friends as well as vacation we did spend some time travelling. That was the only downside of the vacation. If you intend to get out everyday then the drive in and out to the cabin will become a chore, but if you intend to just enjoy the view and peace and quiet, this is a great place. The pictures are accurate, it is a great place to stay. It had everything we needed or wanted for cooking meals at home. Though only a two bedroom it seems much larger, the back screened deck was nice and we also enjoyed cool mornings on front deck with our coffee. As far as area attractions we would recommend bike ride in Cades Cove on Wednesday or Saturday mornings (closed to vehicle traffic then), walk the Laurel Falls trail in morning before 10 AM before traffic builds up, and dinner at one of our favorite restaurants- Foothills Milling Company in Maryville TN approximate 30 minute drive from cabin.
