More about the cottage...THE CHARACTERFUL COTTAGE, with modern conveniences has wooden beams, oak window frames, a stone fireplace for the cosy log burner.

DRIVE PARKING
There is driveway parking, outside our cottage for one car. We do advise at all times that guests see each other out of the drive, as the Cotswolds stone walls & lanes can block a clear view, a second car can park in the lane opposite or the nearby in the layby.

We, the owners live next door, & have 2+1 dogs.
Do ask at booking, if you are at all unsure about dogs, as they maybe sunbathing in the shared driveway.
I am sorry but we cannot accept your pets at the cottage- ours are not allowed in the cottage either!

It is important to us that our cottage meets your needs and expectations, for your time away. So having read all the above, please ask if you have questions before booking and I will happily expand on any information. All we want is for you have the most enjoyable stay!

EATING OUT
The area is spoilt for choice on eating out within 2 or 3 miles. The info folder in the cottage will give you plenty of ideas or I can give you a few of my recommendations to look up before staying. (The inhouse folder has extensive info on everything local with pics to help you chose your days out.

TO DO

It's difficult to find anything to add to the long list of five-star reviews except to echo all that has already been said: Yes, the place is very clean, the view is spectacular, it's in a great location, the gardens are wonderful, and the host is gracious and welcoming. Lovely Visit to the Cotswolds
The cottage we stayed had spectacular, stunning views! It's almost more than your eyes can take it. Truly beautiful! And our host, Tricia, could not have been more accommodating! She made sure we had everything we needed, she drove us both ways to pick up and drop off our rental car. She had wonderful suggestions and a booklet of valuable information! She was nothing short of absolutely wonderful!! Thank you Tricia!!

Incredible Cotswolds Experience!
Hillcrest Cottage was the perfect place to stay when exploring the Cotswolds. The view was stunning and it was conveniently located near areas we wanted to check out. The cottage itself was very well stocked with everything we could need during our stay and was clean and comfortable. Tricia and Rob were the most welcoming hosts I’ve come across in my time on VRBO. Everyone in my group agreed that we would come back any time!

Stunning views
We had a Wonderful time at Hillcrest cottage. We stayed without a car which made for some adventures, but it all worked out. We used Tricia’s supplies for Sunday supper as all the restaurants in walking distance close by 3 or 4. Thanks Tricia!!

Charming cottage, wonderful view
A great place to stay to explore the beautiful Cotswolds. Tricia was the perfect host and the extra touches she provides are special. Our family throughly enjoyed our short stay. The cottage is very well equiped, warm and welcoming even on grey, wet days. Would recommend a stay at Hillcrest Cottage.

Host profile image
I love be able share our views with guests and have enjoyed creating a cottage to match. Taking all the key things I would like in a cottage, plus the best things from places we have stayed, I am proud to have pulled them together for our guests to enjoy.
Before the cottage, I worked as a textile and home product designer for many years and more recently, I set up my wedding prop hire business, allowing for a bit of creative fun!
I love all the walking from the doorstep, with my dogs, photography, gardening, and upcycling.... infact anything creative! I also love a good auction, with a keen eye for a bargain- do ask if you want any recommendations!

The wider area is known as the "undiscovered Cotswolds" and when here you will see why. To live in a welcoming , artisan community with an award winning Farmers Market just a 2 mile canal walk away and Stroud Brewery a short walk away too , what is there not to like?

What makes this property unique

* Uninterrupted panoramic VIEWS
* personal welcome on arrival
* personal attendance if you need anything
* Great local eating out in walking distance; fine dining at Burleigh Court, local The Ship Inn or the Old Lodge, Stroud Brewery, Felt Cafe and the Long table plus plenty more within 2 miles away.
