Wonderful Experience in Oceanside

We found Stormwatch after having had our previously made months in advance beachfront reservation through a Lincoln City group cancelled just 3 weeks before arrival. Stormwatch and Jan came to the rescue with a surprising July 4th weekend availability. While not beachfront, the house is just a short distance from the wonderfully secluded and picturesque beaches of Oceanside. The home is outfitted superbly with just about everything you need for meals, entertainment, comfort. We were very delighted and the kids all loved it. There are games and books, satellite tv, 2 levels with seperate quarters downstairs and a mini-kitchen. The upstairs kitchen is great with all the cookware, appliances and utensils you could ever need. We started out on the "adventurous" walk to the beach and decided it was too adventurous for kids and adults. We drove 2 minutes down the road and parked in the public parking space for the beach (get there early for a good spot). We had lunch at Roseannes next to the beach and it was GREAT FOOD! Try the chowder because it was as good as we've ever had (and we've been around). Since there is very limited mobile phone reception around the area I think it would have been nice to have wireless internet available, but the rest of our two family group did not (smile). Thumbs up for Jan and Stormwatch.
