Awesome Beach Front Condo with Amazing Oceanfront View!!! Very laid back atmosphere right on the beach with a 180 degree gorgeous view of the beach and pier on your own private patio. This attractively furnished, 1500 square foot, oceanfront vacation condo has a designer kitchen and baths, with an elevated covered deck that provides an unbelievable view. This condo is located in a small quiet building with private secure parking for two cars with garage door opener. The condo has an oversized jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom and a regular sized jacuzzi tub in the guest room. In addition, the condo has a wonderful gas fireplace in the living room. Pets are not allowed. This is a non-smoking unit.
The condo is located in Imperial Beach, which is at the southern end of the Silver Strand State Beach, just 8 miles south of Coronado. Coronado is located right across the bay from downtown San Diego. Most major attractions in San Diego (Zoo, Sea World, Balboa Park, Old Town, Seaport Village, Mexico) are all roughly a 20-minute drive from our condo. The main thing that distinguishes Imperial Beach from other beach communities is the uncrowded, quiet beach. Our condo faces the beach to the west and is adjacent to the wildlife refuge (with visitor center) to the east.
The condo comes equipped with everything you could possibly need. In addition, there are bicycles, sand toys, beach towels, a barbeque, beach chairs, boogey boards, beach umbrella, board games, books to read, DVDs, a Thomas Bros. Street map of San Diego County, and several books with day hikes or day trip ideas in San Diego. We also provide brochures with information on restaurants, shopping areas, local attractions, boat rentals, golf courses, etc.
Over the past 2 decades, San Diego has evolved past its old reputation as a slow-growth, conservative Navy town graced with 70 miles of fabulous sandy coastline. Amid all the change, San Diego is still first and foremost a big outdoor playground. You can swim, snorkel, windsurf, kayak, bicycle, in-line skate, and partake of other diversions in or near the water, as well as in the mountains and desert. Just pack a laid-back attitude along with your sandals and swimsuit, and prepare for a warm welcome to California's grown-up beach town. The condo is available for rentals of one month or longer.

I am quite pleased to recommend this beach front condo to travelers to the greater San Diego area. You will need a car to travel to and from all points of interest, but the location is very convenient to the city. Traveling in this area is easy: easy access to highways, not much traffic, and short distance from city. What you get is the opportunity to enjoy the best of both worlds - easily exploring the cities of San Diego, Coronado, La Jolla, etc. and the amazing ocean. The views in the photos are a preview of the gorgeous coast. The nearby town of Coronado has interesting shops and restaurants. We had dinner at Il Fornaio there which has picturesques views of the San Diego skyline and the water. Great food, great winelist. Balboa Park is gorgeous public space with museums (fine craft museum), tea garden, stage performances, and the endlessly fascinating activity of visitors. The Prado on its grounds is a very colorful restaurant, interesting and well-prepared food and drinks. Other San Diego destinations Hillcrest, Little Italy (great Saturday farmer's market), and Gaslight districts for evening attractions. Spend a few hours touring the Midway. Aircraft activity is as much fun to watch on the coast as surfers, who are incredibly patient people. The highpoint for this homebody, however, was the condo. I was teased for being more excited about the condo than San Diego. The owners have a keen sense of playing host to their guests. EVERYTHING is arranged for convenience, comfort, and gives the distinct impression that they care not only about their property, but its temporary residents. The beds are very comfortable, bed linens too. Plenty of towels, soaps, an organized well-stocked kitchen (cooking utensils) and CLEAN!!! I was very impressed with the efforts the owners had made to make the space appealing, comfortable, and high functioning. They think of everything. Thank you!!!
Owner response:We are always eager to know how enjoyable everyone's trip and stay at our condo was and this was no exception. And for families that treat your home as if it were their own and leave it looking practically like when they arrived, it makes it that much more easy and enjoyable to ensure everything is perfect for your stay. We love Chicago!

Our family (with 2 children under two) - found this rental to be perfect for a beach vacation. The condo was VERY clean, and was extremely accomodating coming fully stocked with toys, games, DVDs, pac n' play, extra sheets, blankets, pillows, towels. The kitchen was also equipped with spices and condiments and other items that kept us from having to purchase things we would barely use in a week. Everything was of excellent quality & condition - decor, TVs, linens etc. The owners were especially accomodating and very nice - a pleasure to interact with and happy to help in any way. Imperial Beach is very quiet and exactly what we were looking for. We had a wonderful vacation and so much of that was due to how comfortable and relaxing the condo was. Perfect for a family or couple looking for all the comforts of home. We definitely plan to visit again and stay at this rental and we highly recommend it.
Owner response:Antonia and Matt we thoroughly enjoyed accommodating you and your exciting young family, knowing our condo was a great fit for your Christmas experience. We appreciate you being respectful and easy to work with. We hope you come back!

My husband and I took a trip to see our son who is in the Navy and stationed in San Diego. When we arrived we were very pleased!! The location couldn't get better and the Condo was much bigger than we expected. It was very clean and nicely decorated. Waking up to the ocean every morning couldn't get any better. The owner was very helpful with suggestions on places to visit during our stay. We will definitly look this place up again for any future visits as well as recommending it to some of our friends.
Owner response:We love supporting the military -- thank you for your son's contributions to our great nation and the support you provide him! We are so glad our condo was what you expected and we could help answer any questions you had. Our goal is to provide great service in any way we can along with an awesome beach front condo to enjoy the ocean view and sleep to ocean waves at night.

The condo was well equiped and very comfortable. We never felt crowded. The views and sounds of the ocean were great. We were there on one of the busiest weekends in the area. Comicon and the sand castle compatition were both happening, we never felt stressed. We could walk into the crowds and stroll on the beach back. Our Son is in the Navy, he turned 21 that weekend . We had a great time and it was a wonderful place to stay. The owners are great to work with, we can't wait to go back.
Owner response:Perfect tenants, who know how and where to have a great time and still leave everything just how they found it! Great people, very enjoyable to work with.

Owners of this nicely furnished condo took our last minute reservation for this perfect get away. Offering steps off the porch to the beach, beautiful quiet sunsets and easy walk to town, this condo was a great location. Comfortable accommodations included bbq, living room fireplace, nice linens, and uncrowded surroundings. Owners are great to work with. We would not hesitate to rent it again.
Owner response:Great guests. Very respectful of our home and had a great time on their get away. Really enjoyed the private patio

We visited the condo with our two young children and had a wonderful stay. The linens and towels were fresh and the entire condo was well equipped. The view of the ocean was unbelievable and the kids loved playing in the sand. The condo is within walking distance to a number of small restaurants and stores. We can hardly wait to visit again. Highly recommended...definitely one of the best places we have stayed in...much better than any hotel.

THe condo is spacious and well set up for families or couples. The condo has two living rooms, one with a TV and one with a fireplace. The kids watched TV in one living room while my husband and I relaxed in peace and quiet by the fireplace in the other living room. The condo is directly on the beach, I couldn't believe I could see dolphins swimming by while I was standing in the kitchen making breakfast. The best part was waking up every morning to the amazing ocean view. The condo is fully equipped, excellent towels, sheets, beds, even beach towels! This is one of the nicest placest we have stayed in. Cannot wait to come back....

My husband and I stayed the last week of March 2009. It was so much nicer than staying in a hotel! - Very nicely furnished. The sofas were very comfortable, and so were the beds. But I really liked the linens & towels - they smelled as good as they looked and felt. It was still chilly when we vacationed in March, but we enjoyed riding the 2 bicycles to Coronado Island and through the bird estuary (which is across the street). Be sure to go to IB Forum (the restaurant less than a block away) because their burgers and fries are excellent! (IB Forum offers other menu items too.) There is also a business by the pier with homemade ice cream. Yummy! I would not recommend the fish restaurant at the end of the pier - but their clam chowder was good. Imperial Beach was a quiet place to stay. The boulders at the top of the beach were fairly easy to climb over so we could enjoy a walk on the beach. Watching the sunsets and all of the surfers was very enjoyable!

This condo is lovely and truly "home away from home". My kids (9 and 4 years old} and I stayed a week in July. As soon as we arrived, we were so pleased that it was such a peaceful and relaxing hideaway. The large balcony was great to sit and take in the ocean air. It was wonderful to have the beach as our backyard. The rocks have built in "steps" so it is easy to access the sand. The condo had everything we needed! It was beautifully decorated and very spacious. Very easy access to major attractions, the airport and Mexico. My one and only choice for our next San Diego vacation!
