We have enjoyed our stay at Pleasure Point Cottage. .. Bike rides...our walks to the beach. ..the strolls along East Cliff.. We appreciated the landlord’s attentiveness to our comfort, and for having the place equipped with everything we needed. The landlords were delightful - all renters should be so lucky! We feel sad to leave - Santa Cruz is a very special place. It has been the perfect place for us to be.

The accomodations were very comfortable, clean, inviting and exceeded expectations. I spend too much time in hotels with my work, so staying in a warm cozy cottagge was perfect. The rooms were very spacious and the beds comfortable. The kitchen was well equipped, although we opted to enjoy the area's restaurants. We like that the beach was an easy stroll from the cottage,. We'll definitely consider staying at the cottage the next time we/re in town.

We had a great visit in Santa Cruz and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the cottage. The cottage was clean and very comfortable and the garden is so well maintained. Our favorite thing about staying at the Pleasure Point Cottage was how close we were to everything- we went to Capitola, the boardwalk and walked down the street to watch the surfers.

We had a great time staying at the Pleasure Point Cottage! Our kids loved the toys and books in their room; but, the port-crib was a little to small for our one and a half year old. (Had we known the size, we would have brought our own.) The neighbors were friendly but very quiet. The surfing was excellent. The children loved the Boardwalk. We hiked the Redwoods and visited the Monterey Aquarium . . . both were easy drives from the cottage. Our experience at the cottage was definitely a five and we would love to come back.

We Fell in Love With This Place!

My wife and I fell in love with this place the minute we pulled up, right by the water and close to good food! The cottage was very clean and well appointed, and the front yard has a nice table/ umbrella with a bbq. Bushes kept the picnic area private from the street. We brought our dog and he had a great time playing in the waves for hours. Great place, we will be back again for sure!

Just got home and unpacked from this great little cottage. The location is super. Just 2 blocks away is a great little market and coffee shop with good coffee and fabulous breakfast sandwiches, step across the street and you are at the Pleasure Point break. We sipped coffee and watched the surfers every morning. You can walk to Pleasure Point beach access which is totally dog friendly and a very short drive will get you the Moran Lake Beach and Twin Lakes beach for night time bonfires. Just 5 minutes from picturesque Capitola the little cottage has everything you need, even toys for the little ones. We will be there again!

Judy and I want to thank you for the work you did on the place since our last visit. The front yard is beautiful. We are spending some good times with our daughter and son-in-law. I know you must hear this from alot of your guests, but if you are ever ready to sell this place we would like to throw our hat in the ring. We are moving up in a year or two for retirement. Don't know if we could afford it but would be interested. Once again thanks.

We were so happy to find a place that is baby/toddler friendly and we really enjoyed our stay. Having a workale high chair and porta-crib made our travel load much more manageable, and the layout of the cottage was very baby friendly. In all, it made our whole family much more relaxed and able to enjoy the vacation time. We enjoyed being so close to Pleasure Point and the lodcal laid- back atmoshpere. We went for walks multiple tiems eah day to watch all the ocean activity. We'll definiiely rent this cottaage againe next time we visit.

We Enjoyed Having a Home to Come Home To!

We had a GREAT time at the Pleasure Point Cottage, quite a nice place to stay. It was very clean when we got there and the rooms were quite comfortable. It was nice for our son to have his own room. I really liked having extra blankets, pillows,many towels, cards, videos, and especially a washer and dryer. It was especially nice to be staying in a house instead of a hotel. We enjoyed have a "home" to come home to! We liked having the wirless access. We had our laptop and appreciated the ease of getting on line to use it! We went to the "Star Benne" Restaurant on Cliff drive for Italian food and enjoyed it very much. The food was very good and not too expensive. We also had breakfast at "The Point" and enjoyed that very much. The downtown area was a lot of fun and easy to get to. Lots of shops and restaurants - a good place to go when the weather was not great. Loved being close to the beach and seeing the surfers. We would definately recommend this cottage to others we know and if the chance arises, would like to stay there again.

Clean, Comfortable and the Location Can't Be Beat!

We had a very enjoyable vacation in this cottage. It was clean, comfortable and the location can't be beat! We appreciated the dog-friendly yard. We would definitely recommend it, especially for families. Nearby family-oriented restaurants that we like: Paula's on Portola for breakfast and surfer atmosphere; Dharma's on Capitola for vegetarian noodle dishes; Tony & Albas in the Save Mart shopping center has great pizza; Vasili's on Mission for Greek food. Gayle's has the best sandwiches if you can stand the crowd. For activities if you get tired of the beach, we like: Natural Bridges State Park (tide pools, butterflies in winter), Ano Nuevo State Park (fascinating creatures!); Henry Cowell Redwood Park (big trees, great hikes, fun little train ride for kids), and the nature center at Big Basin where you can have a picnic on the deck while you watch the kite surfers down on the beach. We're golfers, and Pajaro golf club challenges all levels of player (DeLaveaga is too hard for me). This year we drove down to Moss Landing to see the otters swimming off the wharf. Quite a sight!

My family and I stayed in this cabin for four nights and enjoyed our time there. The proximity to Pleasure Point was very nice and our morning and afternoon walks to the beach was the best part of our stay. The cabin had all the amenities for a basic stay which is all we needed. The cabin was clean and ready for our stay. Great space for two people but four was ok.

Charming Home

We have stayed at the Pleasure Point home many times. We have enjoyed the experience each time we are there. The home is charming, and a fabulous location to many surf points and beautiful beaches.. So close to neighboring towns with so much to do. You won't be disappointed with the home, location or working with the owner.

Owner response:No matter what the season, the cottage is close enough to the ocean to take in the fresh air and get close to nature; yet, it is far enough removed to feel safe and comfortable. One big advantage of the "off season" is the lack of crowds trying to get to the beach.

The cottage was great. When we arrived we were greeted by a beautiful yard and very nice neighbors. We were a little worried about booking a place over the internet and not knowing much about about it or the location. In the two weeks we were there we feel we had gotten to know the area well. In our opinion your place is the place we would like to stay when we choose to visit Santa Cruz again. We love the location, the toys were great. Although there is a puppy stuffed animal that I was hidding when we left. My 3 yr old was trying to take him home with her.. Ha Ha Thank you for everything, we hope to be back. Santa Cruz was a hard place to leave. We loved it there.. Pleasure Point Cottage was a great place to stay!

Thank you so much for our wonderful stay in Santa Cruz. The location was perfect! The home was perfect. Everything we could need, and then some, was provided. The neighborhood was quiet, and many things were within walking distance--great food and shopping. It was wonderful being able to have my morning coffee outside listening to the ocean. We used the rental for two months while waiting to move into our new home--and it was perfect. Thank you again. I cant think of one thing to complain about.

We had a fabulous time at this centrally located property. Our week at Pleasure Point allowed us to visit San Francisco, Monterey, San Lorenzo Valley, Santa Cruz and Elk Horn Slough. We loved our front yard barbeque as much as our dinner on the houseboat. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was larger than expected, and the neighbors were friendly, but quiet. Four of us journeyed from afar to meet in a cottage near the sea. We had a fabulous time at this surprisingly centrally located property. Our one week living on Pleasure Point allowed us to play in many places. We visted San Francisco to drive through, saw the Aqaurium at Monterey, picniced under the tall redwoods in San Lorenzo Valley, kayaked in Elkhorn Slough and shopped for books in Santa Cruz. The property was older but well maintained and up to date. We loved our front yard barbeque as much as our dinner on the houseboat at the Monterey Wharf. The kitchen was new, clean, and had the basics. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom a little larger than expected and the neighbors all quiet. The owner was prompt in replies and and accurately represented the property. All and all this was an excellent choice for our not quite annual get-to-gather. Lolly, Lindley, Ferd and Beth

WE LOVED the Pleasure Point area and the cottage. Very charming and vibrant neighborhood and the coast line is beautiful there. The cottage was cute, comfortable and clean, and we especially liked the overflowing gardens, complete with trumpet vines and their frequent hummingbird visitors.

Thank you Lorraine. The place was very clean and attractive when we arrived. We did have a very pleasant stay the entire month. The internet was great, and I appreciate that you were able to remove the TV. I really appreciated the easy access to washer and dryer because in a small place it is nice to keep one's things clean. We would like to call you in the spring for next year. My daughter wants to "do" two sessions of Junior Guards, so we may be asking for 2 months next summer. I really appreciate how easy you have been about the details of our stay - it rounds out the whole experience, and provides a definite incentive for a repeat visit next year. Leigh
