My wife, 13 year old daughter and I stayed here from March 21 until March 25. The best aspect of this apartment is the location -- walk to Eiffel Tower, Invalides (fantastic armory museum and resting place for Napoleon), and Rue Cler, a great shopping street. Unfortunately, there are some downsides to this unit. There is an elevator to the 4th floor location, but it is very small (although better than just stairs!!). The unit itself has a large enough main room, but the kitchen only fits one person at a time, and there is a second shower, but it is smaller than a coffin (I am 5'9" and 185 lbs and could not bend over or reach down -- it really is not functionable even for a child, plus the shower head did not work properly). The primary shower is great, though. There is a need for some cosmetic work, as paint is peeling in the master bedroom and bath. The unit is located on a busy road, so during the week there is a lot of loud traffic noise starting at about 7:30 am. Initially the television and internet was out. While they provided a back up wireless it did not work well. After several emails the tv and wifi was fixed and the problems with the wifi were solved, thankfully. I was frustrated with the response time to the issues (probably because as an American I am used to a fast response time), but finally the issues were solved and a second laptop was provided to us, which was a nice gesture. There is a metro station across the street, whcih was very convenient, along with a taxi stand that made getting back to the train station very convenient. The master bedroom is a bit tight, but works for two people just fine. The second bedroom has two twin beds and if you are tall your feet will hang over the ends of the beds. Overall once we worked out the issues the unit worked fine and the location trumped the noise and other issues. I don't know that I would stay here again, though, as the traffic noise was a bother in the mornings.
Owner response:Thanks for your input. Although we feel your description of a "coffin" is quite excessive we have modified the entry to the shower to make it easily workable. You may notice that even if it is a small shower none of our previous guests complained about it. Regarding your "several emails" you know they were all sent between 8 and 11 pm and that the next morning the problem was fixed. We did all our best to satisfy you in no time as we do with all of our clients. Regarding the street noise the double glazed windows totally stop any traffic noise when they are closed.

We have just returned from 14 wonderful days staying at this apartment. We were a family of four travelling with 2 teenagers and found the apartment meet our needs in everyway. Ten minutes walk to Eiffel Tower, Batobus, markets, this area has everything you could possibly want. this area is also well served with Patisseries and Marches everywhere. At all times felt very safe in this district and were happy for the kids (12 & 14 years) to wander the neighbourhood on their own. Across the road was the Metro which we used on a regular basis. Never having to wait more than 3 minutes for a train. We mostly self catered, as we all enjoy cooking and there was so much to try from the markets. Our next trip is already being planned. We highly recommend this apartment.

We just returned from a week in London, followed by a week in Paris in this fantastic apartment. Located in the 7th District, it has a spectacular view of Les Invalides and is a very short walk from the Rue Cler Market. As others have also commented, it is very close to the Metro as well as a taxi stand. The property manager, Pascal, was incredibly easy to work with and handled all details for us. The only thing I would advise to potential renters is to pay attention to the listing details closely. Two bathrooms means two rooms with bathing facilities and sinks. There is only one water closet, separate from the bathrooms and removed from the bedrooms. Not a problem, but one should know they are not getting two American bathrooms. The kitchen was small, but well equipped. The air conditioning was essential as Paris was experiencing something of a heat wave during our visit. The nearby cafes were excellent, and we had a great first trip to Paris! Thanks.

We stayed at the Blvd La Tour Maubourg apartment for 5 days during a heat wave in June 2010. The air conditioning was beautiful!! The metro stop is 100 feet from the apartment so no car (or bus) is necessary while visiting Paris. The area is very chic and we felt very safe day and night walking around with young children. The Eiffel tower, Invalides, Champs El..... are all walking distance and the Bateau Bus on the Seine stops at the closest bridge. The living space has been maximized in the apartment and the agent, Pascal, and his staff were extremely helpful from check in to check out. The two rooms and pull out sofa were perfect for 2 adults and 3 children. We would highly recommend this location and would not hesitate to stay again.

We have previously stayed in smaller apartments in less affluent parts of Paris. For this visit we decided to look for something more up market. This apartment is in a very safe and pleasant arrondissement; much larger and better furnished/equipped than we have previously experienced;ample for us and two teenagers. The food market in Rue Cler is excellent and there are a lot of very good restaurants within walking distance. The Bistro Du 7 eme a couple of doors along had a very good 22 Euro fixed menu. The Metro station just across the steet La Tour Maubourg(Ligne 8)has good interchanges to other lines and the RER. We never waited for more than 5 minutes for a train. Excellent World War I & II museums in Invalides; needs a long visit to do proper justice. Everything ran smoothly for which we thank Pascal and his representative Regis who was most courteous and helpful on greeting us.

This property exceeded our expectations! The location and accommodations were both perfect. We loved the Rue Cler neighborhood, proximity to the Eiffel Tower and other sights, across-the-street access to the Metro, and the washer and dryer right in our unit. Everything about the experience, from the initial booking to departure, was pleasant and facilitated so well by Pascal's excellent email communication. We would love to visit again sometime!

Pascal's professionalism contributed a great deal to our recent rental. Relying on his assistance at every stage of our trip, from inquiring about the apartment to booking a ride to the airport for our departure made our trip so much more pleasant.

This was our first time renting in Paris, and we thoroughly enjoyed it compared to staying at a hotel. It was very convenient to have a fully functioning kitchen. The apartment was well designed with the bedrooms at either end and the living area in the middle. We enjoyed the decor as it set the right tone. The location was superb - close to rue Cler for food shopping, and within walking distance of many of the major attractions. The metro was right downstairs. The owner ensured that everything was ready and explained all the details. There was nothing more that we needed, and it was everything that we wanted. We highly recommend this rental.

Unreal!! It doesn't get any more luxurious than to layback at the end of the day in a great bed and be able to view the beautiful dome of Des Invalides as you drop off to sleep. Superior apartment and service...a taxi stand and metro and 2 lunch rooms exactly across the street...just steps from the greatest shopping pedestrian zone in Paris - rue Cler. Friendly, safe neighborhood - four of us could not have been more comfortable. And Pascal's resources are unending. Please call or email for more info - this is our fifth or sixth Rental France stay! Not to be missed!

Very nice and fresh appartment. We were a family with two kids and were very pleased. Great location opposite Metro, food market at Rue de Cler and good restaurants. Only minor issue is could use some more basic kitchen equipment such as cutting board, whisk ... Main shower also a bit small.

A delightful apartment in a residential area that has been recently renovated. The apartment is idealy located, within walking distance to the Eiffel Tower, Rue de Cler, Museum Orsay, Rodin Museum, and across the street from the metro. The apartment is spacious with a full bed in the master and 2 twins in the second bedroom with two showers, a full kitchen, dining table for 6, washer and dryer, AC,and very clean and quiet. It exceeded our expectations. Restaurants in the area. Pascal was very accommodating, and speaks perfect English. This aparment and location are ideal for families or 3-4 persons traveling together.
