Enjoy a peaceful vacation retreat on the northeast shore of Ottertail County's largest and best fishing lake. This clean, cozy, knotty cedar cottage is the perfect spot for a secluded respite from city life. The cottage sleeps six comfortably and is fronted by 50 feet of sand beach and nestled in a stand of adult trees 400 feet from the main road. The kitchen was upgraded in 2008, a new wood floor was installed & all furniture was freshly painted in 2009. New gas fireplace installed in 2010 and a complete bathroom remodel was finished in the summer of 2011.
Enjoy spectacular sunsets from a wraparound deck. The property includes a paved driveway through large trees leading to a detached two-car garage, and a walkway to the cottage. The bedrooms have two queen-size beds, and bunk beds. A trundle bed serves as a sofa lounge for watching TV. The remodeled kitchen is complete with cooking utensils and dishes.
This is a perfect venue for a variety of activities. It features outstanding fishing for walleye, northern, bass and crappie. Our cabin is just a half-mile from the DNR's east shore public boat launch. We have a dock and lift to accommodate ski and fishing boats. The lake also is connected by the Ottertail River to a chain of lakes which makes for terrific canoeing and kayaking through fishing and wildlife viewing areas. It also is within a 12-mile radius of three 18-hole golf courses, including the award-winning Thumper Pond course, 1.5 miles from the cabin, and the popular 18-hole layout--Balmoral Golf Course--only 4 miles away.

This cabin exceeded our expectations - very clean, tons of storage, open floor plan, great outdoor space, and a great location! The lake was clean and shallow enough to let the kids have some 'freedom' in the water, the sunsets were amazing, and we had a wonderful time. The owners were very responsive from our first inquiry to our final checkout. Thank you very, very much for your generosity in sharing your piece of 'heaven on earth' with us!!

We were more than impressed with your lakehome during our stay over Labor Day! Not only was the home beautifully decorated and immaculately clean but from the moment we turned the key we knew this was a home where families shared laughter, love and made memories for a lifetime. We spent a glorius week at this property in 2007. Very nice and nicely equipped. We are looking forward to our return in 2008. The owners are very accomodating and the neighbors are great also. Don't hesitate to rent this property. You can't believe the sunsets either. We have spent many vacations at Ottertail and we are extrememly comfortable here.

We rented last August early in the month, it was perfect weather and a fantastic home and property. Lived up to, or, exceeded our expectations. Wonderful beach, great neighbors and easy to get anywhere from there. You will not regret spending your time on this property.
