Short drive (only 1.2 miles) to historic Healdsburg Town Square. provides boutiques, restaurants, antique shops, theaters, bistros, bakeries, farmer's markets, wine tasting rooms and more for your enjoyment. Along coastal Hwy 1 offer side trips to Point Reyes, Bodega Bay, or Jenner 45 minutes away. More than 60 wineries within 10 miles of the property in 3 world class wine growing regions.
Winter time is a great time to visit the Sonoma Area for Wine Barrel Tasting, shopping, fine restaurant dining and splendor of the Alexander and Dry Creek Valley, Calistoga region, and Napa only 45 minutes away. Areas are great for weddings and surprise getaways.
A BBQ/back patio area and (2 person) hot tub is available for your entertaining. Fully equipped kitchen offers everything you need for your stay. Living room has vaulted knotty pine ceiling with ambiance surround lighting on dimmer. Wireless WiFi, Ipod and HBO are provided so bring your laptop.
1- bedroom is a charming knotty pine room (12x22) spacious room with eleven foot vaulted open beamed ceiling, two twin beds put together to make a king bed, T.V. VCR, DVD, couch, two chairs, lamps, end table, coffee table dresser, clothes wardrobe with an adjacent 1/2 bath.
1- bedroom - double/queen bed, dresser, clothes wardrobe closet, lamps, end tables, rocking chair, adjacent backroom with stand up shower (no tube) and amenities for your stay i.e. hair dryer, mirror etc.
Reservation policy:
* Upon making your reservation, 1/2 of the total is due to hold
dates and can be charges through Paypay once I provide an
invoice or on credit card.
* The balance is due 30 days prior to arrival and even if you are
paying by personal check
Reservation Time frames:
* A weekend is defined as Friday arrival and Sunday departure.
* Check-in is 2 or after
* Check-out is by 11 am.
Smoking policy:
* Smoking is permitted only in dedicated area outside. If any
cigarettes are found anywhere not in the ashtray after you
$75 will be deducted from your security deposit.
Behavior policy:
* Only people who are on reservation are allowed on the
premises
* Use of the home for excessive drinking, loud music and
partying is not allowed; Quiet behavior is required after 10pm.
Cancellation Policy: Cancellation notice must be received at
least 30 days prior to scheduled check-in arrival time to receive
a refund of deposit, less a $50.00 cancellation fee and any
PayPal fees. If notice is received less than 30 days prior to
scheduled check-in, and owners are unable to rebook the
property for all of Renter's confirmed stay at the same rate, the
full applicable rate will be charged for those days.
Security deposit:
* Security deposit is $300.
When we receive the security deposit check from you, we do
not cash it. If the property is in good condition after you leave,
we will mail the security deposit back to you. Otherwise, we
will cash the check, and some or all of the funds will be used
for extraordinary cleaning and/or damage repair. Any unused
funds will be returned to you.
Owners will retain any rent deposit as liquidated damages as
required to pay such applicable rate. There's no refund of rent
for any early departure, no credit will be given for shortened
stays due to late arrival or early departure for any reason, no
refund for cancellations due to weather, or on the first day of
arrival.

Owner Description
Working in the city and from living in the country I had to find a place to take me away from it all. I needed to be by water and my home is the perfect River home in Healdsburg CA.
The town is a so quaint and lovely to walk around wine tasting, shopping, and eating at some fine dining and bakeries. Open Market provides fruits and flowers and entertainment in the plaza is so relaxing. I had to have a short distance (1.2) miles or 8 min. to town and yet be in a secluded area to enjoy the river, birds, owls, and stars. It is perfect this place has it all.
Why the Owner Chose Healdsburg
Valley wineries, beautiful vineyards, the charm of the town, and atmosphere. A short drive from Sacramento and San Francisco this is a perfect getaway.
Great area for cycling along Alexander Valley road or Dry Creek area. Calistoga (30 min drive) for mineral water/mud bath.
The Unique Benefits of this Cottage
Swim, Kayak, wine taste, shopping, the great outdoors and the River is only steps away. What more could you ask for. Weather is awesome for basking in the sun on a tube, floating down the river on a kayak - tie the kayak up walk to the cottage have lunch and go back kayaking or canoeing. It has so much to offer.
The sandy beach is nice for sunbathing and shallow for kids to play. NO LIFEGUARD ON DUTY - Dog park down the street.

If you have ever conceptualized what it would be to wake up a step away from the water, wildlife, and the shine of the sun in your eyes...........a quite different way to begin the day. We were completely at ease and felt safe in the forest where the river flows............. I am an artist and writer. It was the ideal location to accommodate the reflection of another time. My heart and hands could work together at the River Cottage.The property was clean and well maintained. The customer service was an unexpected and well received gift of grand hospitality.

The cottage is charming, spacious, comfortable, well furnished, and well equipped. The kitchen has everything that a person would need for any meal. The area where the cottage is located is quiet and peaceful. The close proximity of tall trees and the Russian River add to the ambience. The cottage is separated from Healdsburg by a drive through a forest, but the charming town of Healdsburg is only a few minutes away. The owner gave us detailed information that made finding and using the cottage very easy. We had a very pleasant and relaxed stay at the cottage.

We stayed in this little cottage for a relaxing time with our kids. The river is very close and the neighbors super friendly! We enjoyed sitting on the patio for dinner and a glass of local wine! The second room was plenty big for all the kids. The master does only have a double bed, but it was fine for a short stay!!

Our time at the cottage was the most relaxing, inviting atmosphere that I didn't want to leave. Listening to the trees, the birds, and the laughter on the river call me to stay close on the poarch enjoying the sounds of the day. I have never stayed in a place that was so compete. I stayed longer than most people do - about 5 weeks. It was cozy, and comfortable. Don't be deceived with the size. The "extra room" is like another living space that would feasibly sleep 4 more people. I loved the quiet and the convenience. I was just one of the neighbors really quickly. My husband and I spent several weeks at the cottage and enjoyed every minute. Victoria made us feel so welcome and she was the best at making sure we were comfortable. We were so close to all the dining, wine country events and everything that Healdsburg has to offer, yet the cottage location is a short distance from town in the beautiful redwoods. We walked down the trail to the russian river often in the evening and enjoyed the water, birds, jumping fish and the tranquility. The cottage is clean and well cared for. I have and will continue to recommend to anyone looking for an alternative to a hotel room or in town condo. Thanks Victoria!
