The Guest Cottage at Primrose House is attached to Primrose House Gift Shop, but with private entrance. The Cottage is unhosted, quiet and cozy with French country/shabby chic decor.

It has central heat and A/C, a fully equipped kitchen including dishwasher, range, microwave, and full size refrigerator.

Enjoy shopping the many stores of the Dayton Farmers Market, Silver Lake Mill and the charming shops along Main Street, including Braithwaite Glass Gallery as well as Primrose House Gift Shop.

Primrose House Gift Shop and Guest Cottage is an 1870's Victorian located in the heart of the Shenandoah Valley in historic Dayton, Virginia, just three miles from I-81.

Dayton is on the Virginia Register and the National Register of Historic Places and is home to the oldest Old Order Mennonite Farm Community in the Southern United States.

  • We really enjoyed our stay at this wonderful cottage. We arrived around midnight, and we came in to a wonderful basket of goodies; fruit, muffins, cookies, coffee and oatmeal. Then in the refrigerator was a bottle of orange juice. Also they left a coffee cake which was yummy! This cottage has everything you can think of: windex, paper towels, garbage bags, hamper upstairs, iron & ironing board, dishes, silverware, PAM cooking spray, and I can go on. My husband even said that the cottage was better than Residence Inn. Thank you again!
