WE RECENTLY COMPLETED A MAJOR RENOVATION. THE KITCHEN AND BATH HAVE BEEN EXTENSIVELY REMODELED, AND THERE ARE ADDED ENHANCEMENTS THROUGHOUT THE UNIT.
Our unit at Papakea is a one-bedroom, air-conditioned, ocean front condominium on the third floor of a four-story elevator building, located in the famous Kaanapali-West Maui resort area. Papakea has two oceanside pools with Jacuzzis and cabanas, and two putting greens. Free tennis is available on three lighted courts. The complex has free wireless Internet access available in all units. Our unit is oceanfront, not oceanview. It is right on the ocean and the view is one of the most beautiful on Maui.
The condo will sleep four. There is a queen-size bed in the bedroom, as well as a queen-size hide-a-bed in the living room. All linens are provided. For your convenience, there is a safe in the bedroom closet.
The bathroom has a large granite vanity and sink and a beautiful, glass-enclosed, tile shower.
The kitchen is granite and complete with all cooking utensils and dishes, a full-size refrigerator, range, built-in microwave, dishwasher and garbage disposal. Appliances such as a coffee-maker, toaster, and blender are also provided.
There is Satellite TV in both the living room and bedroom, and a DVD/VHS player in the living room. There are a washer, dryer, iron, and ironing board in the condo. There is also a portable radio with CD/cassette player. Ceiling fans are in the bedroom and living room. Storage space is ample. The private lanai has a lounge chair, four chairs and a table for outside dining. Enjoy watching the Pacific, the spectacular sunsets and in season, the whales!

- Resort has sandy beach with snorkeling, putting greens and shuffleboard courts on the premises, an Activities Desk in the lobby, and free yoga-lates and swimmercise classes. Guests are invited to use the Kaanapali Massage and Fitness facility located next door with reasonable daily, weekly, and monthly rates. Two Farmer's Markets are within a short walking distance of the property. Snorkel rental is also a short walk. Kite-surfing is available on the island.

We just finished 3 weeks in this unit and the recent remodel is fabulous. We can't say enough good things about the pleasure of renting from the owners. The "Maid" who oversees the unit for the owners was promptly responsive when the coffee maker gave up and a new one was in the unit within two hours. And the location is beyond imagine as long as hearing only the waves (versus voices) and seeing few people is one's goal. Sitting on the lanai allowed a great unobstructed view of numerous whales, kite flyers, etc. Very restful. This complex is ideally located in regards to walking to whatever is needed (farmer's market, large grocery story, unique video store, restaurants, almost 2 miles of beach going south, snorkeling, etc. Unit is clean, well kept, tastefully decorated and the kitchen is very well equipped. Would recommend to anyone seeking a unit for two or cosy for four.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, age 55+.

View amazing as always. [Papakea's personnel are] always great people. Sarah/expedia gal always SO helpful! 4th time at Papakea - very cleaned up this time! Always gorgeous! Would rent [again] - you betcha! Would refer - tried today! Don't know why folks like the Kihei region - it's a strip mall.

When we walked in to the condo 1st day here, all of us were beside ourselves at how beautiful the view of the ocean and waves breaking [was]. The condo was much nicer than I'd expected. We were so pleased with the choice we made as to where we were staying and that I have to thank my sister and my brother-in-law...for. They have benn coming here for 20 years. They highly recommended your condo.

Words alone cannot express how wonderful our time has been here on Maui! F309 was just perfect for us! Our days always started with coffee on the lanai at 5:30 a.m. and ended there watching the stars late into the night....
