We stayed 1 week it was the perfect ending to our vacation. It was more beautiful than photos could describe. We saw whales off Lanai and beautiful sunsets and rainbows. Very peaceful and quiet. Very close to the Kaanapali boardwalk. Tip: There is 4 free beach places to park on strip but they fill up fast you can usually find beach parking at the Hyatt for free down in the back by the spa. Park here if no other parking and can walk the entire length of board walk. I loved coming back to the condo for the views. Absolutely georgeous. We BBQ many nights by the pool. The BBQ's are really great quality. Snorkling at Black Rock was great. Times market down street you can pick up odds and ends. Costco is huge hit in Maui, but we had too much food for just two people for one week. We spoke to some that were staying on the strip for 450.00 per night we would go back to the condo and sit on our Lanai and think we have the best view compared to them, Thank you Jill and Joyce. We were very impressed with the cleanliness, quiet and comfort. The grounds very much nicer than anticipated parking is a little far but they provide carts for you to get your luggage back and forth which was nice touch. If you are looking for clean, quiet and fantastic views I would definitely recommend this unit. We went whale watching with Pacific Whale foundation in raft book online for a few dollars cheaper. Not very far to go to Kihei. I found the beach here not too different from the beaches in front of hotels in Kaanapali. I also prefered snorkelling at Black Rock to Napili. Thank you to the owners for sharing this beautiful spot with so many. This was my home away from home for one week and I am back to snow do miss my view we will always talk about this and hold these memories very dear.

Spectacular unit and location

We just finished 3 weeks in this unit and the recent remodel is fabulous. We can't say enough good things about the pleasure of renting from the owners. The "Maid" who oversees the unit for the owners was promptly responsive when the coffee maker gave up and a new one was in the unit within two hours. And the location is beyond imagine as long as hearing only the waves (versus voices) and seeing few people is one's goal. Sitting on the lanai allowed a great unobstructed view of numerous whales, kite flyers, etc. Very restful. This complex is ideally located in regards to walking to whatever is needed (farmer's market, large grocery story, unique video store, restaurants, almost 2 miles of beach going south, snorkeling, etc. Unit is clean, well kept, tastefully decorated and the kitchen is very well equipped. Would recommend to anyone seeking a unit for two or cosy for four.

Recommended for:Age 55+, tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

View amazing as always. [Papakea's personnel are] always great people. Sarah/expedia gal always SO helpful! 4th time at Papakea - very cleaned up this time! Always gorgeous! Would rent [again] - you betcha! Would refer - tried today! Don't know why folks like the Kihei region - it's a strip mall.

When we walked in to the condo 1st day here, all of us were beside ourselves at how beautiful the view of the ocean and waves breaking [was]. The condo was much nicer than I'd expected. Thank you SO MUCH for sharing your wonderful island home. We totally enjoyed our stay--it was the best family vacation we have ever had! We had been there [Papakea] in 2005 in a condo overlooking the pool. There is so much difference being on the ocean. I would never be satisfied to be any place but on the ocean. Loved sitting on the lanai--breakfast every morning, watching for whales and just listening to the roar of the waves.

It was even nicer than we expected! The guest book with restaurants was great. [Homeowners' comment: we have a guest book in the unit in which our guests can write with reviews and suggestions of things to do on Maui. There is a section to review local restaurants. It is interesting to note how the caliber of the local eating establishments changes over the years....]

The condo was better than expected but the brochure and pictures did a GREAT job describing it. The condo was perfect for us with a pleasant surprise of it being as wonderful as the pictures showed. The view is just amazing. The grounds of the resort are so beautiful. Everything was beautiful, clean and the personel was very friendly. You were a pleasure to deal with and all your letters and info were very helpful and informative. Our entire experience was wonderful and exceeded our expectations. We felt spoiled to be there! We have already recommended your condo to relatives and friends, and have showed our pictures too! You will definitely be hearing from us again--hopefully sooner than later. Thank you!!

We just wanted to THANK YOU SO MUCH for the opportunity to stay in your wonderful condo. We had such a nice time in Maui and feel we owe so much gratitude to you for the fantastic atmosphere we enjoyed! The condo was very comfortable and met all of our needs. Of course, the Lanai was spectacular - we have stayed at many expensive hotels on Maui, but nothing has been as beautiful as the view from the Lanai. I would have to say, it is just something one must experience to truly know what you feel. My children were very happy with the grounds of Papakea and had a nice time with some other children they met. We will definetely be in contact with you again. I will highly recommend your condo to my friends and family and would be happy to give a fantastic review to anyone who is interested in speaking with someone who has rented from you.
