Feel like an Austinite during your stay

Our party of four had a wonderful weekend stay. Nestled among arts and crafts style homes in one of Austin's older neighborhoods, you'll feel like you live in Austin when you stay here. This house is conveniently located near downtown, a number of excellent neighborhood restaurants (Kerbey Lane is a favorite!) and the great Central Market grocery store on Lamar. We hope to stay here on our next trip to Austin. I highly recommend!

Great home; great owner

The house was perfectly spacious and everyone was amazed at the finishes and layout. I appreciated that they had organic and earth friendly products in the house and that basic necessities in the house were left for us to use so we didn't have a big waste of condiments and things of that nature. We slept 10 comfortably, and 2.5 baths was perfect for our group. I would absolutely stay here again. You can't beat the location, right off Mopac, easy access to the lakes and to downtown.

Awesome Austin Living

Guest: ProfessorBruce (Boston, MA)
Date of Stay: 04/18/10 Review Submitted: 05/06/10

We (family of 5) used to live in Austin and we returned during the kid's April vacation week. This house, location and owners are awesome and made it so easy to instantly slip right in to the comforts and pleasures of being in Austin. Yeah, warning, we are biased and love Austin!!! The house is very comfortable. We loved the open plan of the first floor. The kitchen is well equipped and had everything we needed. The second floor bedrooms were terrific for us. Beds made sleeping easy -- we have the same beds and mattresses. Closet space and bathrooms were very good. Cozy towels!! And it was terrific to have the washer and dryer on the second floor!! The backyard is relaxing with a hammock, cool table for outdoor dining (and there is a grill). The front yard -- with a privacy wall -- is also very relaxing. My wife enjoyed having her morning coffee or an end of the day glass of wine there. The location is terrific and the neighborhood is residential and quiet. The house is close to downtown, UT, South Congress, Zilker, Pease and other parks, Barton Springs, Town Lake, great shops, restaurants (our faves include Ranch 616, P.Terry's, Tacodeli, Julio's, ZTejas, Vespaio, Enoteca among others), Central Market, etc. And there is easy access to suburbia if you want to head that way. Caswell public tennis is very close and has a great drop-in tennis workout during the week -- all good, but ask for Mike :-) Cycling is terrific as well. I raced in Austin and there is great cycling for all levels. Lots of great shops and rides nearby -- many leaving from various shops on either Saturday or Sunday mornings. We would stay here again in a heartbeat. Plenty of space for us, great house, great location, great owners, great stuff nearby. We're glad we found this rental.

3 day stay in late April

We had a great stay at the house. 9 of us stayed at the there. Everyone was very impressed with the property. The backyard and indoor spaces are fantastic and well kept. Proximity to activities in Austin is excellent. And the house was stocked with plates, cups, pots, pans, soaps, extra towels and some spices. Beds and furniture were very comfortable.

Incredible!

Date of Stay: 04/15/10 Review Submitted: 05/03/10

My girlfriends and I stayed here in April of 2010 for a business school reunion and it was SUCH an incredible weekend. Kiki couldn't be more accommodating and the house is exactly as it is described above. There were 11 of us and we had plenty of room. The decor is modern and gorgeous and I really loved the warm, inviting "feel" of the home. It is a wonderful place to spend a weekend grilling, playing board games, cards, dancing and simply spending time with friends and family. The house is centrally located, so it is just a quick cab ride from downtown. It is also near a Central Market, so grocery shopping is easy as well as access to several trails for hiking, running and biking nearby. My friends and I would recommend staying at this house to anyone. It is fantastic. Thanks so much to Kiki for being such a good hostess!

Beautiful House Wonderful Owners A+++

Date of Stay: 03/17/10 Review Submitted: 04/23/10

We stayed at this house during SXSW and it was such a wonderful experience. The house itself is SO beautiful, I think all of our mouths dropped when we drove up to the driveway. The photos are great, but it's even better in real life! Amazingly furnished, great art, well stocked with clean kitchenware, towels... The owners are fantastic, everything from booking, payment went so smoothly. Kiki was so accommodating and every email was promptly and thoroughly replied to when I had any questions. Also we needed to have items delivered to the house and she graciously accepted them for us before we arrived and made sure they were in the house. Also the next tenants found my iPod touch that happened to have fallen between the couches and Kiki made sure to send it to me right away. So sweet!!! I can keep gushing about this place and I've already decided I'm taking a non-work vacation in Austin to stay here with my friends!!! HIGHLY recommended. If you are looking for a place to rent in Austin, stay here and you will have the best experience.

What a WONDERFUL house! My family and I stayed here for Easter weekend and it was perfect. The house is very spacious and beautiful. We loved the outdoor areas which had a hammock, large yard and so many places to sit out and enjoy a meal. We hosted 30 people for Easter Sunday dinner and the kitchen was so well equipped we had everything we needed. We will definitely be back! Thank you Kiki for everything.

We stayed here with my 3 young children and my parent's for a week last summer. The house was very comfortable and Kiki was a great hostess, She left extra toys and was available to answer questions about places to go. All in all a great place.
