The Maple Cottage underwent a ground-up renovation in 2007 to brand-new condition inside and out. The cottage interior is tastefully decorated in "French Country" style. All of the appliances, furnishings, and amenities are new.

Why the Owner Chose Kenwood
We were looking for the ultimate wine country location for a weekend getaway. After looking looking all over Napa Valley, a friend recommended we spend a weekend in Kenwood and it was love at first sight! Unlike the large commercial wineries and heavy traffic in the Napa Valley, we found the neighboring Sonoma Valley village of Kenwood to have the charm and appeal we'd been looking for. Kenwood is a small town surrounded by small wineries (at least 10-12 are within walking distance). We were able to meet most of the winemakers personally. There are 2 community parks, a turn of the century village church, a volunteer fire department, a small local market and 4 restaurants. Within a 30 minute radius are all of the Napa Valley wineries and and even more in Sonoma.
The Unique Benefits of this Cottage
Small town wine country charm..... 3 local state parks... friendly locals.... scenic drives..... walking or bicycling through the village..... morning cappucino served at VJB wine tasting room (usually by Vittorio, the friendly owner)..... relaxing in the spa at the cottage with a glass of wine in the private garden..... lunch on the veranda overlooking the cottage vineyard.....April-Jun when the Azaleas, Rhododendrons & Wisteria are in bloom.... walking up the winding, flower lined flagstone path to the cottage door..... gourmet food and wine pairings at Mayo's Reserve Room..... and of course - endless wine tasting of some of the worlds best wines!
