Comfortable and peaceful home in delightful wooded setting

My husband and I have stayed at this lovely house (not the loft) five times now. No matter the season, the house is well-maintained, comfortable, and peaceful. We always feel that we are staying at a good friend's house rather than renting since the house is so cozy and welcoming. The kitchen is fairly well appointed; there are various knives, utensils, baking pans, and there are always those odds and ends (veggie peelers, BBQ skewers, sieves, muffins tins, etc.) that one doesn't find in most vacation rentals. After our long flight, we appreciate the presence of the many thoughtful touches! We happen to love the setting---well into the bird-filled trees with nature all around--but this location would be difficult for those without a vehicle. Also, the very bumpy, private road may be unpleasant for some people, but we love being set back from the Route 6. There's a serene walk into the preserve just out back that leads to the bay, and the beautiful Marconi, Cahoun, and Lacount Hollow beaches are very close. With the different outdoor seating areas, decks, patio, covered picnic table, and birdfeeders, and fantastic outdoor shower there is something for everyone. And although we don't have children, the house is clearly very child-friendly and includes and a sandbox, playroom, and baby-gate. The Tatulli's have always been very helpful answering questions and dealing with any problem (these have been few and very slight.) The only reason we would hesitate to recommend the property is that we love it and want to keep this very special find quiet; the Tatulli's have created a wonderful home and made recent improvements. If you appreciate the natural world, serenity, and a peaceful setting, you won't be disappointed!

Owner response:We so enjoy the fact that when we are able to share our home with quests they seem to enjoy it so much.

Quiet, Peaceful, Beautifully appointed home

Absolutely wonderful location. House is beautifully cared for and included those little extras such as sharp knives and a supply of ziploc baggies that go above and beyond the norm for a rental house. Really felt that the hosts let us stay in their home, not just a place they rent out. VERY quiet, easy walk to the salt marsh. Great wildlife including birds, a red-tailed hawk, squirrels, and chipmunks all from the back deck. Adorable kids playspot under the stairs set up just for them. Very convenient to Welfleet center and restaurants, but easy cooking in the house as well. Having rented vacation houses for 13 years across the country, this was absolutely one of the best.

Our first year renting our place in Wellfleet went very well. Every one of our vacationers had a great time and left the house and loft in awesome shape, and for that we thank them all. Knowing that each family had a great time, loved the place, and was kind enough to leave it as they found it was a great encouragement each Saturday as we came up in the morning to clean and prepare the property for the next family coming in. Special thanks to Suzanne Lortie and her family who had to deal with a water leak in the lower bedroom. Felicia (our granddaughter) and I came up and fixed the problem in an hour and Suzanne was nice enough to make me an espresso. Thanks again to all our vacationers for their kind words and care. We hope to see you all next year.
