  The place is absolutely amazing. I'll never stay at a hotel or resort again! My husband and I had total privacy access to a virtually private beach. We didn't have to share a space, it was like our oun private little beachside home. The location is perfectly close to restaurants and all other tourist attractions. The room was nice and extremely clean. The caretakers lovely, very helpful and knowledgable about the island. The were assessible when you needed them and out of sight when you didn't. I coudln't think of a better place to celebrate my 40th anniversary. My husband and I never felt so relaxed. Waking in the quiet morning watching the ocean and having coffee was a joy as was watching the gorgeous sunsets on the beach. Next time we're in Maui we're staying here. True paradise!!!

  Mike & Cecelia have a lovely place in the north end of Kihei and personally provided us with great Maui information. Accommodations fit our family, our budget and was the perfect location, central to all attractions. Although not on the beach, just across the street, we used their back yard under the mango trees, for relaxing and unwinding after long days in the car or at the beach. Interior space was pristine, comfortable and roomy. We would definitely stay again.

  Our family of 5 stayed at this property in March 2011. We were very happy with the gorgeous property and house! Everything was neat & clean inside and outside! There were chairs, snorkeling equipment, beach mats, children's toys, and beach umbrellas for our use. We loved the location which was directly across from a beautiful beach where we actually spotted whales out in the harbor. We were close to restaurants as well as other beaches. It was very peaceful....Bill & Cecelia were very nice & very helpful!! If we ever get back to Maui, we will definitely stay at this property again!!

  This was my first visit to Hawaii and my first time using VRBO. Our group consisted of my wife and I from Vancouver, our friends (another husband and wife) from Seattle, and my friend from Oakville - all of us are in our late 20's to mid 30's. We also brought along my 63-year old dad. So, needless to say, we had a lot of different people with different needs. The house suited us almost perfectly. On one side, the 2-bed, 2-bath suite slept 3 of us very comfortably and had a kitchen table that all 6 of us could squeeze around. On the other side, the 1-bed, 1-bath suite accommodated the other 3 just fine with a huge bed in the bedroom and a pull-out sofa in the living room area. Both sides were very well stocked with lots of clean towels. We kept the suites joined the whole time by opening up the adjoining doors. It was actually nice to have 2 kitchens at our disposal because it made it easier to prepare dinner for 6 in a timely fashion. Outside, there was a very nice BBQ available to us. At first, we tried to start it and there was no propane in the tank. However, the next morning, we let Michael and Cecelia know and they filled it up right away. We cooked lots of great meals at the house and saved a lot of $$$ while having lots of fun doing it! Also, there was a couple of outdoor cabinets that contained a few sporting goods like body boards, snorkel gear, beach mats, bocce set, beach chairs, etc. That really helped us to enjoy the beach even more. The grounds are beautiful and the location was great. You wouldn't stay here without a rental car, but I think it's pretty much a given that anyone who visits Maui needs a car anyway. If there was one thing we could request to change, it would be to have better wi-fi internet access (it was only accessible from outside the house) but next time we visit, we might bring more people and "upgrade" to one of the other 2 homes on the property. Overall, VRBO and staying at Michael and Cecelia's home was awesome. I would highly recommend it.

  a wonderfully kept property, beautiful landscaping, quiet neighborhood, perfect for a large family or multiple couples. the kitchen was fully stocked, worked well for staying in and cooking. ac units in every room, fully stocked towels, sheets etc. property is across the street from sugar beach...great access to a beautiful beach (we started and finished everyday with a walk on the beach). very convenient to have beach towels, snorkel gear, chairs etc available at the property. condo is in a pretty central location for those that want to explore the island. definitely a must to have a car. within walking distance of shops / restaurants and a supermarket a mile or two away. sugar beach was pretty windy (plan to go elsewhere for most beach activities), but a great walking beach. all and all, we really enjoyed our stay...mike and cecelia have a wonderful property there.

  The property was clean, well maintained and a pleasant place to stay for 25 nights. The space was great for 2 couples and towels and linen aplenty! Great laundry facilities too. Cecelia and Michael are lovely people and take pride in their property and gardens and it was beautiful! If you are looking for a centrally located, affordable place then this is it! Plus the back garden and grass is a gorgeous place to relax at the end of a busy sightseeing day! We had a car to explore the island but found the local taxi service excellent to go out at night. Bus service also good and cheap! 5 palms restaurant excellent for breakfast "on the beach"!

  Thanks much to Mike and Celia for letting us use their wonderful vacation rental! The location is fantastic - quick drive to most anywhere you want to be and great access to many of Kihei's beautiful beaches. It's also very convenient to have Sugar Beach right across the street so you don't have to worry about loading up into the car to drive to one. We really enjoyed the beautiful grounds - very lush and well maintained by the owners themselves. We traveled with a young toddler, and she had a wonderful time playing in the yard and watching all the birds. We had a group of six adults and a baby, and we rented both sides of this home - the size was very appropriate for our guests, and having 3 baths really came in handy for all the after beach showers and such. One downside for our group in particular, though, is the lack of large communal space/living room. These two units aren't as easily combined for one larger unit as we thought - two separate small kitchens and only a small living room in one of the units. Now that we know of the other units on this property, though, we will definitely look into renting out the larger 3 bedroom home next time so we can have a larger kitchen and living room. The 2 units we stayed in would have actually been perfect for the 2 sets of grandparents who joined us (they stayed in condos down the road). Next time! =) The owners are very hands-on in maintaining this vacation rental, and it is obvious in the small details and overall condition of the property itself - superb! We had a lovely week on Maui and can't wait to visit again. Thank you Mike and Celia for such a wonderful and relaxing experience! Sara

  We arrived at the home a little later than we had expected, but was greeted by Celia's brother, Teddy (I believe was his name) he helped us with our luggage, and walked us through the home, and the yard, showed us the best place to access the beach, and where to pick up groceries and things like that. Very kind and helpful. The house is immaculate, decorated nicely, and feels like home. My husband and I used the 1 bedroom suite, and his mother and step-dad used the 2 bedroom suite side. Both had comfortable bed, clean, nice bedding, and wonderful bath towels. The kitchens were well stocked with gadgets, pots, pans, and basic cooking needs. The appliances were in great working condition, and provided a nice place for us to sit around a table and enjoy our meals in a non-stressful fashion. I had spoken to Michael a week a head of time and asked if he could arrange a birthday cake as my inlaws were both celebrating birthdays, and if we could stay later, as our flight wasn't until 8pm. The night we arrived Michael stopped over with a nice cheesecake and birthday candles for me. Wonderful. He came back the next day to make sure we were doing well, and if we needed anything. Celia then came on tuesday to do some work around the house and check in with us if we were doing ok. On Wednesday evening she stopped back with a birthday gift for my inlaws and to let us know we can stay at the house as long as we needed to on Thursday, what a gem! I loved this place, everyone loved this place! The beach is gorgeous, and many times we were the only people there. The property where the homes sit is lovely with tropical landscaping that is very well cared for. I would recommend this house to anyone looking to have a relaxing, beautiful, and affordable vacation on Maui. It's a short, 15 minute drive from the airport, 35 minutes from thr Road to Hana, 35 minutes from Lahaina, and there are many shopping and dining options within 5 miles of the house. Perfect!

  This place is GREAT for a family! We rented both sides of the building and easily accommodated six adult sized people and could have added one more. There are two kitchens, 3 bathrooms and 3 separate bedrooms with one more sitting area and a dining area. This is perfect for adult/children where you want some separation. We had simple meals for breakfast/lunch and saved a bunch of money and time. The fact that there are 3 bathrooms means we could all get ready at the same time - perfect for busy vacations. The laundry facilities helped with wet bathing suits/towels etc. The owners are also supurb. We had problems with our rental car and the owners actually took us shopping and into town to help us out. Thanks again Cecelia and Michael... If you are looking for a place with a maid to come in and put chocolates on your pillow's with fresh bathrobes every night, this is not the place for you. But, if you want a very clean place with ample room, direct beach access, and excellent accommodations for a family or a group of several adults, this is a great bargin that I highly recommend. The pictures do not do this place justice - it is a house that is a few hundred feet from an almost private beach. You also have a great yard to sit in with great landscaping. Enjoy it - we certainly did.
