Loved our week long stay. Cottage was very clean and just as described in the listing. Grandkids had lots of fun fishing from dock and swimming in lake. Lake was fun to kayak and people were very friendly. The cottage had lots of room for the 10 of us. Our kids said they definitely want to come back again. We enjoyed the cottage and lake so much we did not go any place else. Would definitely recommend this place if you don't take the week I want.

Had a wonderful time with our family at your Lee Lake Hideaway. Place is so roomy, clean, and so close to the lake. Relaxed and enjoyed swimming, canoeing, fishing, and sitting by the bonfires at night. Would highly recommend this place for an enjoyable family vacation. The web site adequately described this place and is even better than what the photos show. We will greatly cherish the memories of our week at Leigh Lake.

What a great place to stay. Big enough for our two families to stay, and very clean and well organized. Pete and Christine are very nice to deal with, and the house has everything you need to make it like home. Caught some nice big bass and tons of little fish off the dock! Would definately recommend this place for a great vacation!!!

It helped that the weather was wonderful. But, the house was modern and up to date. Nice appliances, good beds, well stocked baths and kitchen and amenities such as boat, canoe and swimming vests for the kids. The water was clean and swimmable and fishing was great right off the dock. Our family all loved our vacation and would consider returning.

Our group (5 couples) has been getting together for Labor Day weekend forever and we decided we needed somewhere new to stay this year. We found Lee Lake Hideaway on the VRBO website and really loved staying there. Christine and Pete are very friendly and they had every amenity you could think of to make your stay fun and easy. The kitchen offers anything you could think of including items you're likely to forget such as salt, pepper, ketchup, vegetable oil, etc. The bedrooms are all a nice size and accomodated our group very well. It was gret to sit on the top porch in the sunshine and relax. Had the weather been warmer, we definitely would have swam out to the raft but ended up staying out of the water since it was so chilly! We enjoyed nights by the campfire (again, everything provided from the paper to the kindling, to wood!) and we rented a pontoon for the weekend from Yancy Powersports (number is on the Lee Lake site) and it was a great time fishing and relaxing for everyone. This is a place that was great for us adults to stay and enjoy but I would definitely consider bringing our kids up there for a week sometime in the summer. They would love swimming out to the raft, the campfires, and the game room downstairs is great for inside fun too! I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for somewhere to enjoy some time off. We couldn't get over how clean the whole house was and how well prepared they were to have us there. It's really a great place!

What a truely tranquil vacation destination. Easy to find, very very clean and I have never had such a well equiped kitchen.Top notched bathrooms to go with the kitchen. Whatever we thought they might not have had, we found it there. Three beautiful levels all with full lake view, birdwatching is a real treat and the lake is very clean. No regrets with this vacation home but please don't take our week.

My family consisting of 3 sisters and hubbys spent a wonderful week in July, 2010 at Lee Lake Hideaway. The website is totally accurate, very helpful. The owners sent us much info on all the amenities, directions to get there, things to do in the area, etc. They were extremely helpful. The property was very clean and well maintained. We certainly had plenty of room, we enjoyed the open sun deck , as well as screen in porch, the pier, the firepit, the water crafts. A large kitchen stocked with plenty of dishes, pans, utensils, etc. Two nice grills,,,, two refrigerators! Three bathrooms!! There is not one thing we could have asked for more. (Even almost zero mosquitos!) I would highly recommend this property to anyone,,,especially nice for large families, several couples. There are also plenly of activties within a short distance of the house, we enjoyed the Lakewood Winery, Lakewood Zoo, Cathedral of Pines, Peshtigo Museum, Crivitz shops, antique shops, nice biking also, beautiful country.

We loved this rental and the property! This was my family's best vacation ever...we have a large family and this comfortably accomodated us all! (8!) The home was clean and well kept up and we loved having 3 baths and a dishwasher! The fireplace was a lovely bonus for the nights we stayed in with rain. We all loved the beach and lake...great for swimming and fishing both. We enjoyed using the paddle boat to tool around the lake and had a blast swimming to the raft. The turtles and loons were also fun to watch and listen to. I really loved how quiet the lake was and how my kids could safely swim and canoe without alot of boat traffic and wake. Not a hugely touristy spot, but there are some really neat places to see near...Lakewood (the candy store!!!) and the waterfall tours were a hit with us. We also did make the trip to Laona for the train ride and it was well worth it. I highly recommend this rental....just as long as you don't take our week...we want to come back year after year!

We were so relaxed when we got back from our week at Lee Lake that it was difficult to go back to work! The pictures don't really do justice to the atmosphere. Highlights: the first morning we thought we left the lights on in the living room but it was the sunrise reflecting off the lake and coming in the front windows; if you like to cook the kitchen is paradise; with 3 levels you always had a place to go if you wanted some private time; neighborhood deer was seen 4 times over the course of the week; many places to explore with the canoe on the flowage; loved the rain shower on the main level; rain day wasn't bad with a fireplace and endless firewood...

We had beautiful weather all week! We had a great time skiing, tubing and playing in the water. The guys even caught enough fish to have a hearty fish fry on Friday night! Thanks for sharing your home with us, all the space was great to have. We hope to reserve again for next year.

In November 2007, six friends and I rented the Hideaway for a long weekend of R&R and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. I was a bit concerned about finding it as it looked to be off the beaten path. The house was very easy to find in a beautiful, quiet residential area with paved roads. The houses are spaced on large lots to allow for plenty of privacy. The house has a large parking apron that accommodates several cars. The house is quite large but very cozy and charming. It is very well cared for. The kitchen opens to a large porch over a glassed-in screen porch that opens off of the large, lower-level rec room. Both have a beautiful view of the Leigh Lake Flowage. The main floor living area has a large open area comprised of the kitchen and main living room making it very easy for a group our size to spread out and yet be together. The living room has a wood-burning fireplace which added to the warmth and charm of the house. I arrived several hours before my friends, lit a fire, and curled up in a comfy chair with my book and a glass of wine; heaven after a long week at the office. I highly recommend Lee Lake Hideaway as a perfect retreat for families or friends looking for a low maintenance getaway. The house is supplied with everything you could possibly need so that you can enjoy your vacation rather than work through it. Should forget any personal items or need additional supplies there is a large Piggly Wiggly and easy 15 minute drive away. My friends and I had a wonderful time there and are keeping the Hideaway at the top of our list for our next annual retreat. Kenlee Milwaukee, WI

What a great week. The weather couldn't have been better, temps in the 80's sunny all week. The fish were jumping in the boat, Dave was in heaven fishing here. The beds were so comfortable, I slept like a baby. Kaitlin also had a ball, thanks to Jack! She wants to come back next week :)

Thank you so much for letting us use your home. Having a dishwasher was great! The beds so comfortable, the kids slept great, so did all the adults. Kids loved the fishing from the pier and having relay races from shore to the raft. Your home is very warm and welcoming. Thanks for sharing.

We all had a great weekend here. It was the first time feeling the u-north experience for the (F) family. Together with Grandma and Grandpa (D) as our tour guides we were very well informed. This was a very relaxing time for us! We were very lucky to have such beautiful weather and fall color. We also went out in the canoe and explored the lake. We went to the Pestigo fire museum on October 8, 2006, the fire was October 8, 1871 it was the 135th anniversary of the fire.

Thank you for making our honeymoon so enjoyable! This was the perfect place to spend our first week as a married couple :) We found the lake to be beautiful and peaceful, and the house to be quite comfortable. We also enjoyed taking the paddleboat and rowboat, and the neighbors were kind enough to invite us to a tour around the lakes in their pontoon boat. What fun! We had fun exploring the scenic countyside, especially the beautiful waterfalls in Marinette County. Thanks again for the very lovely vacation! P.S. Did we mention the incredible cheese?!

Our stay at Lee Lake Hideaway was very relaxing, we enjoyed the lake and the roomy home. While on our way to visiting the Crivitz area we saw a black bear and her 2 cubs crossing Hwy B. We enjoyed a nice camp fire next to a calm lake and even caught a glimpse of the Northern Lights. We took a boat ride around the lake and saw lots of nice things. We all had a great time!
