CAPTAIN JOHN FRIPP VILLA 331... Two bedrooms, two bathrooms, sleeps four plus. Our villa is located in the center of the island near the Beach Club. We are at the ocean end of the courtyard with the pool and ocean only a few steps in each direction. Our pool is private, for the use of owners and guests only. Amenity Cards are not required for use of this pool.
The kitchen and both baths in our villa were completely remodeled in 2006. Two bedrooms and one bath are upstairs. The master bedroom has a queen bed, TV with DVD player, and a balcony with an ocean view. The second bedroom has twin beds. Both rooms have ceiling fans. All bed linens, bath towels, and beach towels are provided. Our kitchen has new cabinets and countertops and is fully stocked with all necessary kitchen items. The entry, bathroom, kitchen, and dining area are tiled. Our dining table seats six.
The living room has a sofa, loveseat, side chairs, TV and DVD player. There are games to play in the closet. Our living room opens onto the private patio which is screened by beautiful palmetto trees. There is plenty of shade in the afternoon for relaxing (or you can pull the chaise lounges out into the sun if you wish). There are two chaise lounges with pads, two side chairs, and a charcoal grill. We do not have chairs for the beach.
Fripp Island offers numerous activities. The biggest, the beach, is just 50 steps away and has lots of sand. We are next door to the Beach Club, with its very nice restaurant, Olympic-size pool and fitness center. The tennis courts and bike path are across the street, and the two golf courses are a five-minute drive away. All Fripp Island Club facilities require the use of an Amenity Card. These facilities include the two golf courses (greens fees apply), the Olympic pool and the Cabana Club lagoon pool, the adult pool and beach bar, tennis courts (court fees apply), fitness center, bike rentals, island restaurants, and marina activities and rentals. Cards cost $50 per person per week or $12.50 per person per day Memorial Day through Labor Day and $35 per person per week the rest of the year. No cards are required for children under 12.
We purchased our villa 20 years ago when our children were small because of its safety and convenience to the amenities. This is a great vacation residence for two couples or a family. Although we do not have a sleeper sofa, children can sleep on the lounge chair pads (which are quite comfortable). No smoking. No pets. |
