Great condo in an ideal place on the property. Recently renovated, clean and very comfortable. Great access to the pool and the beach. Well appointed, comfortable and really worked well for our group of twp couples. Owner very helpful and available Lots to do . Had some meals in the condo and went to great local restaurants on other days.

This was our first family vacation with our 1 year old twins. The condo was in a great location - easy access to the pool and beach, and very family friendly. Came stocked with every amenity we needed, including pack & plays for our twins. Beach chairs and toys were a nice bonus! Condo was updated and tastefully decorated and felt like a home away from home. We rented bikes for 3 days and they were delivered and picked up to/from the condo. Hoping to return later this year!

It was a great week on Sanibel as usual. We have been staying at Loggerhead Cay for over 20 years. We have stayed in a number of different units. This was the nicest unit that we have been in. The location in the complex was great with a nice view of the gulf and the pool. The decorating was terrific and I am guessing Erin had much to do with that as we loved the painting with her signature. The basket of necessary things for a week stay was more than we experience when we stay in a units we get through a rental agency. We definately will look to see if the unit is available on our next trip to Sanibel. Thank you for letting us stay in your home away for home.

We stayed in early January 2013 at this gorgeous condo at loggerhead cay on sanibel. The kitchen was awesome., beautiful countertops, appliances and new flooring. Very nice size for cooking with the family and opening to dining room great to serve or to set horsduerves. My teenage daughter loved the blackboard wall in the kitchen above the very convenient breakfast bar area. Erin has thought of just about everything you will need. Took me a while but I found local eatery advertisements conveniently located in a basket on breakfast bar shelf. Duh! Also, beach towels, shell sifter, sweeper, broom, extra blankets if need, wine glasses, tv in both bedrooms and living room, paper products. (although we did have to buy roll of toilet paper) I was totally aware of the new granite countertops so could not find a cutting board so used one of the cookie sheets! Loved the two pullout garbage cans. One for trash and one for recycling. (to throw trash go down elevator and look for trap door on wall facing walkway. recycling containers midway down driveway). Good view from lanai can see pool and gulf!! Loved the furniture! Living room very comfortable as well as bedrooms. New bathrooms were awesome! SO Clean! Also, having the washer dryer combo so nice! We really enjoyed hearing the ocean as we fell asleep. We all felt at home here. Met really nice people at pool. Also, grandma dots is a great place to eat on yacht club rd.? Bike rentals a must! Can ride everywhere. Also don't miss the nature preserve. Really Enjoyed this fabulous condo With its great amenities and location!!

Condo at Loggerhead Cay, Sanibel Island, Florida

Two senior couples shared this beautiful condo. The renovation was beautiful, especially the kitchen. The decor was very nice. The apartment was clean and well maintained. We loved the screened porch. It was great being close to the beach and also having a pool. We didn't like carrying our luggage up two floors on an elevator, but for younger folks I am sure that wouldn' be a problem. I would recommend this condo to my friends or relatives. There are many activities available close by. We enjoyed hearing Handel's Messiah at one of the churches. Another church has a resale shop, open daily. Great bargains. We especially enjoyed the Ding Darling National Park and went kayaking and fishing. The birding on the island is awesome.

This was my third stay at this condo, the upgrades to the kitchen and master bath are great. The new carpet is also very nice. There were new beach chairs to enhance our visit to the beach.

Perfect vacation!

We were the first to stay in the newly renovated "Fun-n-Sun", and it is absolutely the very nicest condo we have ever stayed in at Loggerhead. The location of the property is ideal, just off the causeway, and this condo has ready access to the great pool and those stunning Sanibel beaches! Erin and Todd did a magnificent renovation...the decor is just right for families, and the furnishings are high quality and very tasteful. The new kitchen and baths are absolutely the nicest of any Loggerhead condo that we have used over the past 15 years of visits. Sea glass tiles and new appliances in the kitchen, and beautiful subway tiles in both bathrooms. Thanks Erin and Todd for being such great hosts...we hope to be back often!

I stayed in this same condo a few years back and really enjoyed it then. We were one of the first guests to enjoy the renovations. Amazing!! Brand new kitchen with beautiful finishes. Both baths completely redone as well. So clean and fresh!!!! Will definitely come back if it's available. Guessing will rent quickly!!!

Fabulous Sanibel Condo!!!

Our family stayed at the condo the week of October 6. We had a wonderful time! The recent kitchen and bathroom renovations are beautiful! The condo is well stocked with new linens and was immaculate! The condo has great views of the Gulf and the pool! Our kids especially loved the beach. Erin was extremely helpful in coordinating our stay! I would highly recommend Sanibel and this property to families with children!! We enjoyed riding bikes on the numerous bike paths! Sanibel has many great restaurants that are family friendly! Be sure to go to the Mucky Duck on Captiva for a beautiful sunset!

Fantastic Vacation

My wife and I had a fantastic vacation at Loggerhead Cay. This was our second time staying in unit 542 and we really enjoyed it again. Erin (the owner) is a pleasure to work with and the unit is as advertised in photos...Clean, spacious and very family friendly. Loggerhead is close to shopping and restaurants- even walking distance which was great with our 14 week old baby for strolls. Highly recommend Island Cow, Traders and Lazy Flamingo. We also enjoyed a trip to Captiva for lunch at the Mucky Duck( great location!)

Nice vacation, condo needs work

Sanibel was a wonderful vacation! I would highly recommend for families. The beach is great. I would not stay at this condo again for many reasons. First, there was very little communication with the owners. We even got a parking violation because we didn't get a parking pass. The condo is spacious but needs a lot of work. We vacation a lot in Florida and this was the worst condo that I stayed at. It was not clean at all and there were no cleaning supplies. There were not enough bathroom towels at all. Linens were disgusting with stains (comforters) and old. Kitchen and bathrooms need to be updated. Appliances were gross. We found a giant cockroach in the living room one day that we had to fight with to get out. Where there's one, there's more. Needs to be sprayed. Vacuum didn't work. Really need to speak to cleaning crew, counters were very dirty. I appreciate the use of the condo but wouldn't stay again. Also, other tenants were very, very, very loud every night until all hours. Not family oriented.

Owner response: This review is NOT Consistent with the other 61 reviews I have received in the past 3 years!!! Please read other reviews. Since I am unable to inspect our condo after each stay I do rely on guest feedback. To respond to your comments: Parking passes – can be picked up from complex office as clearly stated in the rental agreement. From now on I will include a parking pass with the keys. Supplies – weekly rental condos typically leave enough supplies to get you by until you are able to get to the store. Linens - Brand New Bedding and Ralph Lauren towels were just purchased in April 2012 - just 2 months ago. Bugs - We are diligent about having the condo professional sprayed 3 times per year. Unfortunately, these Florida “June bugs” can sneak in when uninvited – especially in May and June – hence the name. I will have the condo sprayed again immediately. Communication – I am available via email, phone or text – and ALWAYS respond in a very timely fashion (please read other guest comments) Vacuum – unaware that it did not work. Thank you for letting me know – I will replace immediately. The photos on VRBO are 100% accurate. Our condo is “warm”, “well decorated”, “clean”, “VERY well stocked”, “family friendly”….all quotes from other guests!!!

We really enjoyed staying in this condo! There were lots of amenities including beach towels, books to read, well stocked kitchen! The condo is a very nice size and is very clean - making you feel like you are in a home away from home. The views of the pool and the beach are fantastic. We loved the screened in deck with a couch and table and chairs to eat breakfast read, take a nap, and watch the waves! We also loved having access to gas grills on the property and used these a couple nights during our week in Sanibel Island. Also, it was fantastic having beach chairs so we did not have to bring ours! They are very nice ones too with a cooler attached on the back to take bottles of iced tea, other drinks to the beach. Also, the pool is a very nice size for a condo resort. Swam laps each morning! The bike trails were great around the island. We had a great vacation! Would definitely go back to this one! Lots of exploring to do on Sanibel Island. We enjoyed riding bikes to the local stores, ice cream (Dairy Queen), to see the light house and my husband and son rode the length of the whole island twice! Also enjoyed kayaking, playing shuffle board and of course spending time on the beautiful beach and at the pool. The photos accurately reflect the rental's appearance and amenities, of course much better in person!

MY WIFE AND I JUST RETURNED FROM A WEEKS STAY, 5/12 THUR 5/19/12, IT WAS EVERYTHING THAT WAS ADVERTISED AND MORE, WE HAD A GREAT TIME, WE HAD OUR COFFEE EACH MOURNING ON THE SCREENED PATIO WHERE WE COULD SEE AND HEAR THE OCEAN BEFORE OUR MILE WALK. THE CONDO HAD EVERYTHING THAT YOU NEED, ALL YOU HAD TO DO WAS SUPPLY THE FOOD AND SUN SCREEN THAT YOU NEED. THE COMPLEX WAS VERY NICE, GREAT POOL. ERIN AND TODD THANKS AGAIN, THIS WAS OUR 7TH TRIP TO SANIBEL AND OUR BEST. THE WEATHER WAS GREAT AND YOUR CONDO WAS EVEN BETTER, HOPE WE CAN USE YOUR CONDO AGAIN IN THE FUTURE. JIM AND SUE

We just spent a week at this condo with our kids and my parents. The location is perfect - the beach is so shallow and gentle in front of the condo - its perfect for little kids. We spent every day looking for shells, swimming in the ocean, and then relaxing in the condo's pool. The location is also close to all of Sanibel's great restaurants.

A Wonderful Week

February vacation is a special time for families in New England. Most schools are closed and we all look forward to a warm, sunny get-away, if possible. Loggerhead Cay, specifically, this lovely unit, was perfect! Updated, extremely clean with a gorgeous view of the Gulf, we particularly appreciated all the amenities the owners stocked in their unit -- beach towels and chairs, sand toys, and a kitchen complete with all the necessities. We had a blast -- the biking is great, dolphin excursion wonderful, restaurants that met our different dining tastes and the pool/beach were exactly what we were hoping for -- warm water, not crowded (even this busy week) with friendly people throughout the area. We were particularly appreciative of the owner's efforts to get us online. Go to this beautiful resort!!!!

The condo and the island were way more than we expected. We had a wonderful time and needed nothing, everything was there. The weather was great, the pool was 90 degrees, and the island restaurants were awsome. Thank you so much Todd and Erin for a wonderful time.

We returned for a 2nd time to enjoy Erin and Todd's wonderful condo and its amenities. It was a quiet time on the Island..never had to wait too long for anything and the weather was decent despite the arrival of the cold front mid week. The condo has great items to keep the kids at the beach and pool. We ate in many nights as our kids are sometimes a bit fussy in terms of eating. Used the condo bbq and the condo kitchen and loved eating on the Lanai. It was just what we needed at the end of a busy year. We plan to return! Thanks so much.

My husband and I have been coming to Sanibel for many years. It's usually quite dated. This condo was exceptional. There were a lot of little amenities that sound silly, but are really important to a beach vacation. We used the beach chairs. pliers (my husband is a fisherman), even sunscreen, cooler, etc. There were plenty of pillows, blankets, games, even detergent and dish soap, coffee filters, etc. The balcony overlooked the pool, nice ocean view. We have nothing bad to say. Owner was very good about communication, even let us check in early. Overall, a great condo at a great price. We don't want to tell because we hope it will be available next time we go to Sanibel. Truly a little gem.

We throughly enjoyed our week at Erin and Todd's condo. The location was great and the beach was beautiful. The lanai was wonderful to relax on after spending the day at the beach. The condo was comfortably furnished and the extra beach items such as towels and chairs were nice to have at hand! Sanibel is a beautiful place and we will certainly return and would stay at Erin and Todd's condo again.

We loved this beautiful home! The decor is up to date and does not look like the standard rental. It is very close to the beach, which makes carrying beach gear and the kids easy. The owner is a pleasure to work with. Love this property! You can't go wrong staying here.

Fun and Sun in Sanibel

My husband and I and three children just spent a glorious week in Sanibel. The condo was so tastefully decorated (have you seen some others available?). It was very clean with without all that Florida clutter. We spent many meals sitting on the lanai enjoying the fabulous views of the ocean and pool. Also, it was a great spot to keep on eye on the kids at the pool. As a bonus, the beach was much closer than I expected. The condo had beach chairs and plenty of games for the kids during the afternoon downtime. You won't be disappointed. We'll be back!

Thank you very much for the use of your beautiful condo. Sanibel Island truly is paradise. The beach chairs and toys at the condo were put to good use every day. The Pro Kadima paddle game was a huge hit with my kids. We look forward to returning to Sanibel again. I highly recommend this condo. The owner is extremely responsive and professional...a real pleasure to deal with.

Overall, the condo was great. It was very clean. The only thing lacking was cooking utensils and dishes. I like to cook on vacation and there were not adequate serving bowls, etc.. There were adequate beach towels and sand toys for the kids, which saved us some money. Thank you for allowing us to stay.

I have rented a number of different condos in the Fort Myers Beach/Sanibel area over the years and this is my favorite! The decor is very hip and cool, the condo is very well-maintained and the owners are great to work with. The location of this condo is also ideal - on the beach and close to the bridge to Sanibel. We loved the pool at the complex as well - perfect temperature and larger than expected. Highly recommend renting this condo!

This beachfront condo was the perfect spot for a girls getaway! The rooms are spacious and nicely decorated, and the lanai is large with plenty of seating, AND a great view of the ocean. The beach is steps away! I HIGHLY recommend this property!

Just returned from an amazing stay in this comfortable condo. My friends and I enjoyed the spacious lanai with views of the ocean and pool. The screened in lanai is so roomy, it has a sectional! The complex was quiet, clean and convient. The unit itself it ideally located in building 5, on the end closest to the beach, just steps from the large pool. It was well equipped, clean and beautifully decorated. We all slept well on the Comfy beds with nice sheets. The owner is easy to work with......thanks for a great stay on Sanibel!

Great space and very comfortably furnished. Loved being so close to the pool and beach. Great to have beach chairs available. Kitchen was also well equiped. Also enjoyed having bikes delivered to use on the easy bike paths throughout Sanibel. Lots of great restauant choices. This condo would also be so nice for a family with small children as there are toys and baby equipment available. We will certainly try to return. Thank You!

I would highly recommend this condo to anyone looking to rent on Sanibel! The decor is beautifully updated with a "Tommy Bahama" feel and comfortable for anyone, including families with small children. The patio had great views of both the ocean and pool. The unit was very clean and well-maintained. The resort was also a big hit with our family - we swam in the large pool during the early afternoon and then walked right to the beach for the late afternoon/sunset. Our kids had a great time picking up seashells on the beach and we had numerous dolphin sightings. The resort is conveniently located close to many great restaurants and shopping. The owners of this unit were very helpful and accommodating. We had a GREAT time and would definitely rent this unit again!

We've been to Sanibel a half dozen times and found this condo to be well located and nicely appointed. Very close to the beach. The weather was good and my daughter enjoyed the shelling. We saw dolphins and big blue Herons right on the beach and some of the most beautiful sunrises and sunsets you'll ever see. Had a ball. Hope we can do it again next year.

Our family of four stayed at the condo in December---all was just as described in the listing, although the rooms are more spacious than they appear in the photos. The beds were very comfortable, everything was clean, and we enjoyed the location---steps to the beach and pool, and convenient to access the main road through the island. The condo is well-stocked with cooking utensils, beach gear, toys, books, etc. We found our best shells at the beach right off the condo (and we visited ALL the beaches!), and also spent time hiking and kayaking in the wildlife refuge, visiting the shell museum, hiking the Bailey Tract and we also visited the Ford and Edison estates in Fort Myers. Some our favorite eating spots included East End Deli for carryout rice and beans, sandwiches and lunch meats (good if you are trying to save $$$), the Over Easy Cafe and Island Cow. Grandma Dot's had the best key lime pie, in my opinion. And you can't go wrong ordering grouper and fresh Gulf seafood anywhere you go. Erin was terrific, and responsive to all our questions and concerns. I highly recommend this condo.

Our family of 4 visited Sanibel the week following the American Thanksgiving and had a wonderful time. The condo was clean,beautifully decorated and well appointed with everything we could think of . We loved the lanai with its beautiful views and the complex itself was very well maintained. We made the decision to book rather late in the game but Erin was very good to get back to us with the information we needed in a very timely way. We will definitely be back and have already recommended this to friends and family. For families with young kids, Billy's Bike Shop, Pinnochio's The Lazy Flamingo and The Island Cow are establishments you'll want to check out. Thanks Erin and Todd for sharing your wonderful spot!

Great location, just a short stroll to the beach. Condo is nicely appointed with lots of seating, new TV's etc. Our favorite place to spend time when we weren't on the beach was the balcony which had a table and separate seating.

This condo was perfect for our girls week in Sanibel in late September. The unit was spacious, nicely furnished, beautifully decorated and the perfect location for sand, sun and sea! We will definately seek out this property for our next visit to Sanibel! The owners made check-in/out a breeze. We had the olympice sized pool and it's many lounge chairs mostly to ourselves, quite relaxing! Great eats and fine shopping close by our condo made this a wonderful vacation for the three of us forty-something highschool girlfriends! This condo would also be a great family rental with the pool and the beach just steps away.

My wife and I spent two weeks this past August with our three children at Erin and Todd's condo. Everything there was great, we practically had the complex to ourselves which was ok by us. Sanibel Island is a very laid back place to vacation. We spent most of our days between the huge pool and endless shelling beaches. I loved the peace and quiet that is noticably absent in some of the other tourist destinations throughout Florida. Thanks again. Devin

We completely enjoyed our stay at Erin & Todd's condo at Loggerhead Cay from July 3-10, 2010. Since the condo key had been sent to us in advance, there was no trip to an office needed to pick up a key. We were able to drive straight to the condo and unpack. The condo location was perfect for us-- it overlooks the pool so we could monitor our kids from the screened-in lanai. Also. the walk to the ocean is not much of a hike. The elevator came in handy when we loaded/unloaded our car and it operated flawlessly all week. The condo itself was very nice and we enjoyed relaxing there in the evening. We visited a number of island eateries (Lazy Flamingo, Island Cow, Jacaranda) but also used the convenient BBQ area by the tennis courts for a few lunches and dinners. The beach was fantastic and was only somewhat crowded on July 4th but the crowds thinned out after that. We rented bikes from Billy's that week and enjoyed a nice ride around the island. All in all, our trip was everything we hoped for. Thanks, Erin & Todd.

We had a wonderful vacation at this condo! The grounds were meticulously maintained and the beach was so close! We spent most of our time swimming in the ocean and finding shells. The condo had everything that you could need. Lots of beach towels and a washer and dryer to keep everything dry. The beds were very comfortable and the sheets were of high quality. (I'm picky about cheap sheets!) I highly recommend this place. Clean, comfortable, and well-stocked!

We had a wonderful time in Sanibel. The unit was nice and had easy access to everything. The beach was just a few steps away, and the pool was the same distance on the other side. We enjoyed our week there and wouldn't hestitate to recommend it.

Great vacation rental. Steps to the beach and pool. All photos and descriptions were accurate and Erin was a dream to work with. This condo had every amenity you will need including beach toys, extra towels, beach towels, laundry detergent, etc. I would highly recommend this rental and Sanibel is fantastic!

We had a terrific stay at Loggerhead Cay Condo # 542. I pined for it for weeks when we returned to the Mid West in Mid February. Every time grains of sand would tumble out of my daughter's diaper bag I would feel wistful and a bit meloncholic that we were back in Indiana. We were very comfortable and the entire Condominium Complex was fabulous. We had a great time and hope to return next winter for another reprieve from the cold.
