  We love this condo - have been going annually to this unit since the owners started renting it. The condo is perfectly set up for our very need. And, we've stayed at MKV for over 30 yrs. Love the location, the size, the Castaway Restaurant for onvenience, the accessibility for walking every morning.

  This is an awesome rental...best I have found in Kaanapali Villa's and I have stayed in 6 different units there over 10 years. Totally decked out, well equipped, great view from Lanai. Great location to walk to Whalers village or Honokawai. Gina and Joe are very helpful and nice to work with.

  Our third stay in this complex and still very pleased with the complex and especially this unit. Very cozy for two with privacy and recent upgrades which make the unit very comfortable. The view from the balcony is exceptional . Never a dull moment just people watching and gazing at the sunsets. The Castaways is Great and so convenient for dining in or take-out. Pool and Beach access is so easy . Look forward to another trip soon.

  I'd been to Hawaii and Maui 4 or 5 times before, but never experienced anything quite so magical. Maui Kaanapali Villas are perfectly located. The structures are well arranged to offer maximum view plus a lot of lawn to give a sense of space. The grounds are lush and well groomed. The condo we stayed in has probably the best location of any in the villas. The balcony view looks out to the pool and the ocean beyond. Since it faces south, the sun was never in our eyes. It was absolutely perfect. The decor of the condo itself was the best I've ever experienced anywhere. From the silkiness of the travertine floors to the handsome solid black walnut wood work to the granite, every detail was upscale. Yet,we felt we were in the wonderful tropics environment. The artwork was not typical of a vacation rental. It was thoughtful and unique. We had the chance to see a couple of other units in MKV and there was nothing that compared to the beauty of our unit. We also stayed on Napili Bay on Maui and in a location on Kauai. MKV has everything we would ever want. Fabulous beach within steps of our condo, a location that only requires sitting on the balcony to enjoy the most beautiful view, a fun restaurant for great meals any time - the Castaway, tiki torches, fun pool, great running paths. We will return to this unit every time we go to Hawaii. It's the best we've ever experienced.

  This was our fourth trip to Maui and our fourth time at the Maui Kaanapali Villas but for a change we decided to rent a condo and choose MKV289. First, the pictures do not do justice to the beautiful condo Joe and Gina have and the location was great! Joe & Gina were wonderful and accommodating. My wife and I would have our morning coffee on the lanai watching all the people as they walked, ran or just out for a stroll. The beach is only steps away and, in my opinion, one of the best on Maui with swimming, snorkeling or diving or just sunbathing. We have always loved the relaxed family atmosphere of Maui Kaanapali Villas and its less congested location. Occasionally we would utilize the barbecue grills and eat in just enjoying the breathtaking sunsets. My wife and I highly recommend this condo and are looking forward to our next trip! Maui No Ka Oi, Maui is the best!

  This is the fourth time we have stayed in this condo in the last five years - first time in another in the emerald building. In fact - one of the condo owners put us in contact with Gina & Joe so that is how we found it. It is so nice - we wouldn't stay anywhere else. We have been going to Maui once a year for the last thirty years or so and love the condo and the MKV. So much nicer than a hotel and wonderful to be able to grill a few times! And have befriended some of the people who keep coming back at the same time each year so it's fun! The beach is beautiful and MKV is within walking distance to lot of restaurants and shopping. The photos are very accurate and the condo is immaculate as is the property. Joe & Gina are great to work with and we have recommended it to others. We will be there again next September to our Home Away From Home!!

  We recently stayed here for 10 nights on our Honeymoon and loved every minute of it! The condo was extremely comfortable and well appointed. The Villas in general had a great laid back atmosphere when compared to the big resorts in the area which was something we definitely appreciated! We had a car, but in general found the location great for exploring the island, venturing to the nearby shops, restaurants, etc. The beach directly in front of the villas is great for swimming and lounging. The waves were never huge, nor was the undertow too strong - not to mention the sandy bottom! It was a great little piece of heaven in between two great snorkeling areas. Go to the left, and you hit the northern part of Black Rock, head to the right and you’ll see the beginning of a mile long stretch of reef with some amazing snorkeling! Since it was August, not much swell in Western Maui – we headed to the south to get our boogie boarding in…. We loved the pool – never too crowded – and great drinks from Castaways! We also enjoyed the grilling area. Picked up some fresh Ono and made a tropical salsa with fresh pineapple, mango, etc….delicious! Speaking of food, if you have the chance and the means – go to Mama’s Fish House for dinner. This was our favorite meal of the trip – but it was a splurge! It wasn’t just dinner…it was the whole experience – from the grounds, to the service – just make sure to wait for a “window” table – it’s worth it to watch the clouds turn colors as the sun sets in the west! (Although nothing beats the sunsets you’ll see from the lanai – or beach – at the condo!) Lahaina was great for shopping – check out Maui Hands for gifts made by local artist. You would be surprised of how much is NOT made locally – so be careful and read the labels! We did the road to Hana – beautiful scenery, but unless you are planning on spending a night in Hana to truly experience it, we probably could have turned around half way. We are from Oregon – so once the mist and rain started – we felt like we were home and were anxious to get back to the beach! :) Joe and Gina are awesome to work with. I’m in the hospitality business, and they display the epitome of great customer service! We would not hesitate to book again with Joe and Gina in the future – and will be referring everyone we know who travel to Maui and want to stay in the Kaanapali area to them!

  This condo is amazing and The Maui Kaanapali Villas is the perfect place to be on Maui. The ocean is literally at your tiptoes and the beachwalk is right out your front door. The place is so perfect we had to really push ourselves to explore any of Maui other than our daily happy hour beachwalk crawl. Being able to walk through all the surrounding restaurants and hotels each day and jump on the trolley to head back really made us greatful to be in such a less crowded place on the beach yet still close enough to the action. There is snorkel gear for the 2 awesome places to snorkel within easy easy walking with rocks you can jump off, everything you could imagine to prepare and have a nice sunset dinner on your own private lanai, the most beautiful and comfy condo on the resort and the perfect lil bungalow style cafe with another ocean view. I can't rave enough about this place as it's everything the owners describe and more and it looks even better in person. We will definitely be back to stay here and only here!

  After 5 years of looking for the perfect condo, my daughter found MKV 289 while browsing the VRBO website.  From our first contact with Joe & Gina, it has been an incredible experience, and we have looked forward to returning for our annual mother/daughter trip for the past 4 years.   We just completed our annual visit and have decided this year to return in 5 months for our second stay in MKV 289.  A year is just too long to wait to return to this bit of paradise that Joe & Gina so generously allow us to share.  The condo, which is immaculate,  is exactly as described and pictured with every amenity possible.  From the pillow top bed, linens, kitchen appliances, bath & rainfall shower, beach chairs & toys  ... everything is FIRST CLASS.  There is not a thing you could need that they have not thought about and provided. The location is perfect. The beach and pool are only a few steps away and a short walk in either direction takes you to a variety of restaurants and shops.  Without hesitation, I urge anyone looking for the perfect spot to stay during a Maui visit, to see if this is available.  You will not be sorry! Aloha!

  We love the Kaanapali area and have stayed in the Villas in the past, however, our holiday experience in this unit was by far the best. The Owners are quite accommodating and make a guest feel at home. The unit is very comfortable, well equipped, clean and tastefully decorated. And the bed ... it's excellent. In my books, that goes a long way to making the difference between a good holiday and a great one. Really, really enjoyed and appreciated the use of the washer and dryer in the unit, versus the alternative of going to the on site laundry room ... been there! The Resort is beautiful, well maintained, and the ocean is sooo close. Loved the Beach Walk, both directions, did it everyday. Very many great restaurants within walking distance. All in all, a great stay. We would highly recommend this unit and we will definitely be back. Mahalo!
