The train was not an issue for us at all, but trucks are. The house is on a corner, and the master bedroom is right on the street, and we heard trucks all night. The only AC unit and fan on the first floor is in the kitchen which doesn't cool off the master suite, so you have to sleep with the windows and doors open, which makes the road noise that much more of a problem. The sleeping loft on the second floor has a good AC unit which cools the space and drowns the noise, and we all piled up there to sleep, but then there's no privacy. The house is adorable, very comfortable, very clean, and walking distance from the Shakespeare festival complex, Lithia Park, restaurants, and shopping, but if it's too noisy and hot to sleep without piling the whole family in the same room, what's the point? Also, the sleeping loft makes this a poor choice if you have young children. It has very steep steps and nothing to keep a wandering, sleepy kid from falling down the stairs in the middle of the night.

The train was not an issue. The tracks were close by but we did not see or hear a train from Friday until Monday. The house was a great, cozy setting for a family get together and we all loved it. Very special indeed! Thank you so much. It was beautiful and such a fun place to stay with so much consciousness of the environment as a extra perk.

Our experience with this VRBO was superb, from the timely response and customer service of the owner to the wonderful amenities of the lodging. I highly recommend staying here. This quaint cottage came stocked with organic condiments, food, and toiletries, cruiser bikes and also has a convenient location to downtown and the food co-op.

This is a very charming house with everything you need in it. Bathrooms, kitchen and the bedrooms are fully equiped. The only negative thing is that the house is right by the railroad tracks and you can hear the train going a few times per night. The house is great, walking distance from downtown, it is just very noisy for me and my family. We are used to a very quiet are with no trains and buses. Thanks a lot!
