Welcome to Walk the Plank, a new home built in 2006, located on Edward Teach Wynd (aka Blackbeard the Pirate), on family-friendly Bald Head Island, North Carolina. Our home rents by the week (Saturday to Saturday).
You also have the option to have temporary memberships to the BHI Club (golf membership) and the Shoals Club for an additional fee.
This four bedroom, three bath home is adjacent to the Bald Head Island Country Club golf course and is minutes from the beach. The vacation home was built by my father, who paid particular attention to many details, from the intricate woodwork and mouldings, to a cedar closet and steam shower. The home has two porches with one screened-in, a fully equipped kitchen with granite countertops, family room with fireplace, dining room with formal table that seats 8 and one bedroom and bath on the first floor. The second floor contains three additional bedrooms, two baths and a laundry room with washer and dryer.
The home and furniture are all brand new and ready for your summer vacation. The home also includes a garage, with two golf carts, to take you around the island. We hope that you enjoy the house as much as we do! Be one of the first to stay at Walk the Plank.
Bald Head is a beautiful island, which can be reached by ferry from Southport, North Carolina, is approximately 40 minutes from the Wilmington, North Carolina airport. Once on the island, visitors can enjoy relaxing on the 14 miles of unspoiled beaches, kayaking or canoeing on the marshes, exploring the wildlife preserves, fishing, golfing on a championship golf course, tennis, swimming in the ocean or Olympic swimming pool, croquet and formal or informal dining. The island is a unique getaway that truly offers activities for everyone.
