Owner's Profile
Owner Description
Year Purchased: 2000
We built Two Lakes Lodge in 2000 after spending many years renting vacation homes in NH. The Lodge was designed to be our retirement home and we hope to be able to move there full-time during the next few years. In the meantime, we decided to rent the Lodge to help pay expenses. The Lodge is a great getaway for all 4 seasons, but our favorite season is winter, when we snowmobile right from the Lodge to destinations all over northern New Hampshire.
Why the Owner Chose Stark
The area around Two Lakes Lodge is unique because it was originally owned by a paper company and later was made part of the White Mountain National Forest. As a result, there are only 45 home sites in the area and that can never be expanded. This creates a small tight-knit community within the boundaries of the National Forest, with trails, wildlife and great views at your doorstep.
The Unique Benefits of this House
The Lodge is fully equipped to withstand the rigors of deep woods living with its own water supply and backup generator. The Lodge incorporates a state-of-the-art lighting system that automatically turns on lights in high traffic areas and turns them off after a period of inactivity. It also has a fully integrated sound system and lots of indoor games and activities.

Hey Larry and Kate! Just wanted to say thanks for allowing us to stay at your beautiful lakefront oasis!!!! From the moment we arrived we knew that we were some place very special! With three boys there wasn’t a day when we weren’t busy doing something… and we did a heck of a lot! Mountain biking, horseback riding, hiking, fishing, kayaking, Mount Washington, ziplining, pool, ping pong, Moose “hunting” and on and on… The sights, smells, and sounds are incredible. Heather and I were sitting down at the lake one night looking at the stars and the silence was “deafening” LITERALLY… there was not a sound and as a result my ears were ringing! Thanks again!

This is a great place, superior to most vacation houses we've been too. The beautiful house itself and the variety of activities made it a unique vacation experience for us. The owner is very nice, responsible and organized. Every detail mentioned about the place turns out to be true. All 8 of us spent a terrific, memorable weekend and would love to go back.
