I've stayed at many apartments all over the world and this was a very nice apartment. Clean and convenient since it is on the Metro Line 1 in Paris and of course on the Champ Elysee, just 1-2 blocks down from the Arc de Triomphe. If I stay in paris for a week again, I would definitely consider this apartment again!

Pierre was wonderful with information about the area, metro and responded quickly to any of our questions. The location of this apartment is awesome as it is right on the Champs Elysees. Very close to the metro, excellent shopping and within walking distance to many attractions.

We stayed in the same apartment for the 2nd time in 4 months. The apartment is in great location and good condition. It's in a quiet and secured building, very conveniently located. Did not return late in the evening during the recent stay, but when we left for airport in the early morning (5am) the security guard was around right outside of the building. The owner Pierre is very helpful and responsive to answer any questions I asked. I strongly recommend this apartment.

My husband and I stayed at the apartment for a week. I choose the apartment based upon the reviews I saw on this site. Unfortunately, our experience was not at all like those reviews. In this price category we were not expecting upscale amenities, but expected and deserved at least cleanliness and security. The apartment provided neither. The kitchen was not clean. There was dirt and dust on the appliances and the inside of the refrigerator was very dirty. I was not willing to spend my time in Paris cleaning the kitchen. My husband used it to make cereal and tea in the morning, but I would not cook in the kitchen. As a result, we did not have the opportunity to save a little money and have a little fun by having dinners in our apartment. The rug in the living room was stained and dirty. The only place to hang clothing was a storage closet that was not clean and had dirty cleaning rags on the floor. Security was also an issue. The apartment is right on the Champs Elysees, so security is important in this location. One evening we returned around 11:30 p.m. to find the security gate wide open. Several young men were congregating by the elevator and others were coming in the open security gate. No guard was around. As it turned out, they were going to our floor for an all night party. Until around 3:00 a.m. there were people who were obviously drunk and drinking screaming, yelling, breaking glass, slamming doors, and walking up and down the hallway. Obviously, we could not sleep through this. At other times when we arrived at the apartment after 11:00 when the security gate was supposed to be locked and a guard on duty we found there was no guard in sight. On two more nights there were loud parties on our floor till around midnight: more yelling, slamming doors, and clearly drunk people. This apartment was not clean, not quiet and not secure.

Owner response:Dear Madam, I understand your concerns about your stay. Concerning the kitchen, I lastly increased the wages of the lady who clean the apartment, considering that she made a good job, and according to all the feedback you have seen yourself on the website. However on this special day before your arrival, she was not very well, which maybe have caused that the level of cleanliness didn't meet your expectations. Concerning the security I am very surprised. We pay the security guard high enough for them to make their job. And they do ! I remembered a guest who left her bag, at the corridor, and of course *outside* the apartment. When the guard saw it, he brought it to the security office, for security reason. And with the camera databases, found where apartment the bag belongs (he saw the lady going out of the apartment with the bag), and brought it to her. We can't pay 10 persons patrolling the whole building. But it's still exceptional that a building have a team guarding the building 24h/24, with guards patrols. For your concerns, I can't prevent my neighbors from organizing parties. But if they are noisy, it's the matter of the police (no noise can be made after 11:00 pm). But maybe you should have told me those problems at once, so that I can call the guards and help you feel more comfortable. It's one of the reasons why I gave to my guests my mobile phone number. You should have told me at once. In these cases I could have helped you. During all your stay, you wrote me just once, about the TV. I gave you explanations on how to use it. By having no further news from you I supposed that everything went fine. I regret I could not have the opportunity to help you having a good stay in Paris. Best Regards, Pierre

As soon as you you come out of building you are in center of the city. Information and detailed instructions to reach there was excellent. Our family stayed for 2 weeks - it enabled us to prepare lunches for our busy sightseeing days and stop at the Monoprix and get dinner on most days. We were able to just walk down the stairs to see La Parade militaire de la Bastille AND be able to see the Tour de France final. What a privilege! We loved our stay - this place is both clean and practical. We would stay there again...Pierre the owner is very professional and provided us with much of the information we used to visit Paris. After weeks of looking for an apartment in Paris, I finally decided on this one for my girlfriend and I. The stay was great, and we absolutely loved the location. The apartment looks better than it does in the pictures, and it seemed bigger in person, so were pleasantly surprised about that. The kitchen is small, but is bigger than the picture shows. We liked having the fridge, microwave, and the washer in the apartment. We used that several times. Also, the place was spotless when we arrived, and Pierre was extremely helpful in answering our questions. I would definitely recommend this apartment to family and friends, in fact I already have been telling people about it! I will definitely stay at this apartment next time we stay in Paris, which hopefully will be really soon.

Fabulous Location

The flat was exactly as described and pictured in the listing! The location of the flat is Fabulous, right in the middle of the Champs Elysees! There are several metro stops within a few minute walk, lots of restaurants, bakeries and even a walmart type store! If you can't give up your Starbucks there is one in the building!! It is within about a 15 minute walk to the Eiffel tower and a local street market. The owner answered all our questions and made it very easy to pay for our stay through paypal so there was no confusion with the conversion of money. The price was Great and it offered everything you could need and we were pleasantly surprised that you could not hear street noise in the Flat even with the windows open all night!. We loved everything about the Flat and would ABSOLUTELY use this rental again.

Truly enjoyed the central location of the apartment. Easy to hail a cab, hit the metro, or grab a tour bus. Within walking distance of major historical attractions, a great cabaret show (Lido) and a multitude of restaurants & shops. This efficiency apartment had everything we needed & was roomy enough to have guests over for wine & cheese. I cannot say enough about the location & being able to walk out of the building into the middle of the energy of Champs Elysees.

Traveling alone to Paris I was initially a bit nervous about the process of renting from an individual but Pierre was extremely helpful in answering all my questions leading up to my decision to book the apartment. After booking he continued to be a very valuable asset in my trip planning. The apartment is in the most PERFECT location...right in the middle of the Champs Elysees you are a short walk or metro ride anywhere in Paris. There is a MonoPrix (grocery/pharmacy) less than a block away, a bakery next door, and all kinds of restaurants at your fingertips. The entrance to the apartment is inside a shopping centre, and feels very secure especially at night. There is a gated entrance after 11pm and a guard that sits outside the elevators. The apartment building is full of charm, as it's quite old, with great architecture and high ceilings. Though the apartment is only a studio, it is quite spacious. Much more room than you would get in a hotel! There are two futons, a dining table with 4 chairs and a tv in the main room. The beds aren't terribly large but are perfectly suitable for 2 people to sleep on. The apartment would comfortably sleep 4. The kitchen, while very small, was a great thing to have during my trip. Being able to buy some small food and drink items to have on hand was very convenient. Having a glass of cold champagne before retiring for the night is a nice way to feel like a Parisian :) Additionally, the bathroom is a good size, the water pressure was great. The little things like having a washer/dryer, plenty of closet space, a hair dryer, internet connection (via ethernet cable) etc really make for a comfortable stay. I will absolutely return to this apartment for my next stay in Paris.

The place is small, but is in a great location. The Arc de Triumphe is at the end of the street and there is parking right near and the Metro stations can take you anywhere! Would recommend to couples/friends and would stay again!

The charming apartment was a perfect respite for a Paris vacation. As a solo traveler, I enjoyed coming "home" to the well appointed and stylish space. It was clean, secure and very comfortable. Access to the Metro, major bus lines, and taxis is right out the front door. The pictures and information on the web are spot on. The Champs Elysees is a vibrant, active street, yet the apartment quiet and cozy. I felt quite Parisian, and not so "touristy" by staying there. There are two grocery stores just blocks away, and too many restaurants to try them all. The shops and Starbucks in the Arcade (as well as up and down the CE) ensure there is always something going on, yet do not intrude on the feeling of home when accessing the apartment. Pierre was a joy to work with, and all transactions and conversations were professionally handled. I hope to return soon. à la prochaine.

My 16 year old daughter and I spent 8 nights at this wonderful apartment. The apartment is exactly as shown in the pictures, clean and location was perfect. The pullout beds were very comfortable and the security to the building was reassuring. Easy access to metro, bakery, shops and Monoprix (think Walmart...everything you need from groceries, wine, toiletries and souveniers). Not to mention, Pierre the owner, is so very helpful with all of your questions and gets back to you right away. I would definitely return to this "home away from home" on my next trip to Paris and would refer it to everyone.

My husband and I stayed at this apartment for four days in May 2010 The building has 24 hour security and at 11pm the gate is closed and locked so we felt very secure staying here. The apartment itself was exactly as described and the washing and drying rack were a great addition to have. The owner was very helpful in answering questions before and after we booked the rental and his information on the metro helped immensely. Upon arrival the television and our laptop would not work. After a frustrating hour or so my husband used his adapter to hook up the computer and it worked fine, the one supplied with the apartment was well used and apparently not functioning. We were never able to get the TV to work even with the many emails between the owner and ourselves, but it wasn't that big of a deal because we were out sightseeing most of the time and not really there to watch television. Hopefully Pierre was able to figure out what the problem was once he made it to the apartment upon our departure. Overall our stay at the apartment was good, the only negative thing to say of the apartment is that it could use some updating, painting and a good cleaning to make it more welcoming and enjoyable place to stay. The location is wonderful and the apartment totally equipped. The listing portrays it accurately, and everything was clean and in order. The blue binder with instructions was most helpful in figuring out the appliances, as was Pierre himself. I hope to be able to return to this particular rental again on a future visit. I frequented the bakery Paul, and Monoprix, of course. There's also a special restaurant on the other side of the Arc de Triomphe, with a view of the Arc, called Le Pres Carre, at 3 Avenue Carnot.

We stayed in this apartment in November and it was perfect for us. The location could not have been better. In the city center and on a very convenient metro line. We are a family of 4, two teenagers. It was perfect for our 4 night stay. The best part is that Pierre worked with us right up to the last minute. We highly recommend this apartment. We were in Paris for about a week in May and found the location great for us as tourists. Just returned home from a wondeful vacation in Paris. Pierre's apartment is in the perfect location and my family and I felt very safe. I would recommend this apartment to anyone. The most important tip I can give you is that there is a grocery store just down the block. Its called the Monoprix. ( looks like a department store, but go down the stairs and you'll save alot of money buying bottled water and soda. Pierre was wonderful to work with.. Thank you so much... Ann

Pierre's apartment was wonderful. My son, daughter-in-law and I stayed there during the Tour de France. Everything was as he has stated, it was quite roomy and comfortable. It was very quiet even with the Tour going on. The location is fantastic, and a very secure building. The building is gated after 11:00 pm, so you just need to code to get in. The one very large room (plus small kitchen plus good bathroom) was exactly as described on the web. I stayed there with my two daughters, They each had a double beds (fold outs) to them selves, I slept on an improvised bed which was easy to arrange. There was heaps of room for us and the broad band and free international phone was great. A super location. The building and room were very clean/safe and superb architecture. The tariff was fair and we have recommended the apartment to our friends.

I highly recommend Pierre's studio apartment right on the Champs Elysees, only two blocks from the Arc 'd Triumph. The studio is spacious, the beds are comfortable, the bathroom is great, the kitchen is small but highly servicable. Everything worked as advertised. Pierre is most accomodating and helpful. My husband and I just got back from our wonderful vacation. We stayed at the apartment in October 2008. What a fabulous place!! Close to the Metro, cafes, all the sites, and shopping galore!! This appartment is great and fantastic. We loved being in it as it has everything we needed and the washer was great to have in th eappartment. It was close to a supermarket, shopping and so much more. It has a beautiful location as it is on the CHAMPS ELYSEES and there is an extra bonus as there is a STARBUCKS in the building. The kitchen is very well equiped and athe sofabeds are as comfortable as a great hotel bed. We loved being there and we would love to be there again next year. We were in Paris in May 2008 and stayed at Pierre's apartment. This was one of the places we have stayed so far in many years of our travelling around. It was perfect for 4 of us. It was very conveniently located to many sightseeing places and walking distance to Arc de Triomph, subway train and city bus. On a nice day one could walk to Louvre, Musee de Orsey, Eiffel Tower, and other places around there. The apartment was cery elegantly decorated and had everything including washer and dryer. It was nice to get back to a clean, well ventilated, elegant place in the evening for relaxing and chilling out especially after a long day of walking around. More importantly, Pierre was excellant in communicating and very professional. He has also provided us with all the valuable information needed including detailed maps of the city, things to see, things to do, etc, etc. He was extremely prompt in responding to emails when we had any questions. I would recommend this any day and we will certainly stay at Pierre's place if we happen to visit Paris again.

I agree with Susan. The four of us would absolutely recommend Pierre's apartment. There is ample storage space for both the luggage and clothing for four travellers. Hot water was readily available for showers, and the laundry facilities convenient for a lengthy stay. The location is superb! Monoprix a block away is great for grocery shopping, and several nearby patisseries provide lots of choice for breakfast treats! Georges V is only a block away, yet the location is also excellent for walking to many popular areas. Excellent accommodation, and reasonably priced.

Our experience was simply wonderful - the apartment was perfect for the four of us and we enjoyed every minute of our stay. The place was clean and pleasant and the facilities met our needs perfectly. Everything we could ask for was within walking distance - the bakery, the grocery store, and all the sites of old Paris. Pierre was so helpful with his directions and with his service both on line and in person. We highly recommend this place to anyone wanting to explore Paris most conveniently and inexpensively.

I just came back to my home in Berlin, Germany after staying in Paris at this apartment. I am so happy that I found this! The apartment was just as the pictures indicated. At first I was worried about renting on the internet, but Pierre was fantastic. He talked to me on the phone and wrote emails, answering all of my questions. He was extremely professional and honest to deal with. He explained how to use Paypal and was quick with his email answers. I can't say enough about how well he treated me. The apartment was warm and comfy. Way better than a Paris hotel room. In my opinion, if you can find a hotel room cheaper you will be extremely dissapointed in what you get. Believe me, having stayed 10 times in Paris at various places over the years. The metro is easy to access from the apartment, in fact, getting to either airport is easy by taking the RER A to Chatelet - Les Halles and then the RER B. Cheaper than any other way. Grocery store in the Monoprix is 1 block away with really fair prices. I liked staying on the Champs Elysees as many places are open late. Very safe at night, not like a lot of other areas. I`ll never stay anywhere else if I can help it. This trip was with young American family members who had visited me in Berlin. We flew to Paris for 40 euro's with Easyjet. Staying at this location was perfect. I can't say enough about it. The beds were comfortable, we had more than enough room, try finding a Paris hotel room this big and you will pay 3 times as much. The apartment was clean, modern but still maintaining its old world flair and charm, with big French windows and high ceilings. Nice wood floor. The bathroom was big with more than enough towels, hairdryer. There was absolutely no street noise. Those chocolate eclairs are right downstairs and out the door to the right. Fantastic bakery for buying fresh French goodies for breakfast! And the best thing of all? Pierre of course. Thank you so much. Sincerely, Lynne Hordynski

We found Pierre via the website and we're very happy that we did. The location, accomodations, and price were nothing short of spectacular. It is in the heart of central Paris, right near the Arc de Triomphe (5-10 minute walk) and on one of the busiest streets in Paris. There are tons of shops, transportation, food, areas of interests right near the place, and it is in a very cool commercial building with stores and even a club. The place will accomodate 2-4 people fine, and has a television, radio, laundry, full kitchen, shower, and everything else you need. We are going to several countries in Europe, and staying at vacation rentals at each one. Pierre was the most professional out of everyone we have been in contact with. After payment, he sent us complete instructions on how to get to the place, and how to access the apartment. The keys and access code are right there for you to use, so you don't need to meet or arrange to meet with anyone to get in. This makes it convenient when you don't have or want a set schedule. He also leaves his contact info if you need to get ahold of him. The four of us will definitely stay here again when we return to Paris, and highly recommend his services.

We just got back from our trip to Paris and Normandy. Our stay at Pierre's apartment was great and is accurately represented by Pierre's VRBO listing. The apartment was perfect for our needs. We found the location to be nothing less than outstanding. (FYI use the first elevator entrance on the Arc de Triomphe side of the building) It is easy walking distance to many sites and a three minute walk to the Franklin Roosevelt or George V metro stations. As it was our first time to France we had as much fun exploring the cultural sites as we did in figuring out how to run the clothes washer. (The manual is even written in English!) We were able to meet Pierre and his mother when we arrived and both were extremely accomodating. Later when we needed to find out how to use the phone to call to the United States (press 00 1 and then the typical phone number with the area code) and our need to find an internet access site (66 Champs Elysees) Pierre was able to steer us in the right direction. Pierre was extremely thorough with his instructions ahead of time and was helpful in guiding us to an AVIS car rental agency that is 100 yards from the back door. (Driving in Paris is another story) If we ever make it back to Paris, we would stay here again.

This is the perfect apartment for your holiday stay in Paris! It is easy to get to from both train and airlines as it is just steps from the Metro line and the directions to the apartment are absolutely perfect! It is a lovely apartment and has everything you could need to make your stay in Paris all that it can be. There are delicious restaurants,disco's, grocery store at the Monoprix down the street and great shopping out the front door, too! The apartment is located on the "action" street of Paris! Everything goes on here! However...It is perfectly quite at night so you can rest nicely. I took my mother and my teen daughters with me and everyone loved this home! We walked to just about everything from here, but on the days when my mom got tired it was easy to pop on the Metro to get home! We had a wonderful stay, and will most definitly stay here again when next in Paris! Perfect!
