My husband and I were on Seabrook Island for only two nights and one full day. Because we spent nearly all of our time attending wedding and related events, we weren't in the villa other than when we were sleeping. But, it was exactly what we needed - convenient to the activities, clean, quiet and very reasonably priced. Tom, the owner, was extremely pleasant to deal with and even offered to allow us to stay later than the usual checkout time since he didn't have another renter checking in immediately. He answered all of my questions quickly and thoroughly. I would definitely recommend this property to a couple looking to stay on Seabrook Island. Off the Island, we had brunch at the Fat Hen - about 25 minutes away. Fabulous! And check out the Angel Oak - between the Fat Hen and Seabrook Island. Amazing!
Owner response:Thanks for taking the time to review our villa! I am glad that you enjoyed your brief visit. You will have to return sometime to experience how relaxing Seabrook can be when you you have time to sit on the porch with coffee and the newspaper, or with wine and a book. Tom

This was a really fantastic vacation villa! Seabrook is an amazing experience. Do you ever feel like saying,, stop the world I want to get off? That is what happens when you enter Seabrook all the worries stay behind. We were treated to several dolphin displays every day. One in particular was amazing, a group of four came close to the shore and jumped and rolled and played right there up close! The villa is well equipped, very clean, convenient, comfortable and decorated beautifully. There is a lovely porch with a nice view of the marsh where you can sit with a cup of coffee and listen to the quiet. The owners are really great to work with and I will recommend it to all of my friends!
Owner response:Thanks for the kind review. Our hope is that everyone who visits Seabrook experiences exactly what you did! You described so eloquently what we feel every time we go. It is like no other place we have been! Tranquil is the word we often use to describe our vacations. I am glad you appreciated it for what it is. Tom

Last week we stayed at this condo and could not have been more pleased with our choice! The condo was very clean, quiet and comfortable. Everything that was described to us about the condo was accurate. Even the bed was comfortable. The owners were extremely helpful in providing not only information about the condo but about areas to see nearby. We would not hesitate to stay here again.
Owner response:Thanks for the kind words! We take our role in the vacation experiences of our guests very personally. We believe that it adds to the vacation "fun" if the accommodations are arranged directly with the owner. The whole process can be more casual and enjoyable.

We stayed in this lovely condo last week and had the best time. We loved the porch and the view of the marsh. It was quiet and clean and very comfortable. It was really great to have the washer/dryer and the kitchen was wonderful as well. Everything listed in the description was accurate. The price was very reasonable. The owners put up with all my questions since we had never stayed on Seabrook before and they were very informative. The dunes, beaches and marshes were incredible. Kayaking was fantastic. The wildlife was amazing we saw many dolphins, an alligator, lots of cute little deer and an amazing amount of birds.

My sister and I went here to get away from our 2 jobs each one of which is with kids and it was wonderful. We rarely saw other people around. There was never anyone on the beach or at the pool and the wildlife was amazing. Dolphins were all of five feet from the beach and pelicans were abundant as they dipped and dove in the water. . It was clean and well-maintained. The balcony, both open air and screened in were wonderful in the mornings for reading with your cup of coffee. The one thing I found notable was that they provide everything. There is tp, paper towels, dish soap, dish washer detergent, laundry detergent, etc. all your essentials. The kitchen is also very well stocked for a rental. We do a lot of cooking due to allergies and there were lots of pots and pans and cooking utensils. I had absolutely no complaints. I would gladly rent this condo again and I highly recommend it.
Owner response:Thanks for taking the time to write a review! I am happy that your visit was enjoyable, and hope you have a Merry Christmas. Let me know when you need another break! Tom

We just got back last week from staying at this villa and our first visit to the Island. We had a very relaxing week. The island is very beautiful and not crowded at all. The villa is so comfortable that it felt like home. It is very well stocked and clean. The pool is just a few steps away and not crowded at all. We loved walking the beaches and riding the bike paths everyday. We hated to leave the Island and plan on coming back again. I highly recommend this villa for a great vacation!

My husband and I just returned from our trip to Seabrook (June) and had a wonderful time. The villa was perfect for the two of us and suited all of our needs. It is bright and cheerful and feels "airy" with the vaulted ceiling, is clean and well-maintained, and even has a washer/dryer, which can be difficult to find in a 1-bedroom condo. The island is quiet and relaxing, the beach uncrowded, and the landscape beautiful- exactly what you'd want in a beach vacation. There are shops and restaurants close-by and the proximity to Charleston is a plus. The owners were very helpful and responsive to any questions we had and were a pleasure to deal with. We would recommend this villa to any of our friends and hope to return again ourselves in the near future.

The pictures of this island do not do it justice! We had a wonderful time and the new owners are great. They are very friendly and helpful. The villa was very clean and we found everything that we could possibly need there. We will definately go back again! My only regret is that we could only stay a week.

My family rented this villa for a week in August and it was wonderful. Just big enough for the 3 of us. I like this villa because of its community pool. It you have never been to Seabrook Island you should experience it and rent this villa.

My husband and I along with our 4 year old daughter visited Seabrook Island during a long weekend (Friday - Sunday) during the summer of 2009. I had heard some wonderful things about the island from one of my colleagues and everything he said was true. Seabrook Island is secluded and relaxing. It proved to be a much needed break for our family. When I first contacted Hope, she was very nice. She provided lots of information regarding the property and the island itself (how to access the property, island amenities, and her favorite spot for beach access). Her instructions were extremely accurate. I sent her a check for the weekend rental and she did not deposit it until the weekend of our visit. When we arrived at Seabrook Island, the security guard at the gate was very helpful and gave us a map of the island. He told us exactly how to get to the property. There is covered parking available for the property but it was a little tight so we did not feel comfortable parking in the space since we drive an SUV. However, there were ample uncovered parking spaces. The property was clean and cozy and was well-stocked with everything that we needed. The bedroom is located upstairs and has a queen bed. There is a futon sofa downstairs which can also be used for sleeping. The property has 1 1/2 bathrooms. It was perfect for our family of three. We spent a good amount of time at the beach and the pool, which is right across the street from the property. The beach access path that Hope mentioned was the best because there were not many people there. It was almost as if we owned that section of the beach! Driving around the island to the beach access path gave us an opportunity to see the island. The houses were beautiful and the ride was peaceful. We drove about a half hour into Charleston in the evenings for dinner. We bought a few things from the Piggly Wiggly on the way to Seabrook Island so that we would have some things to eat for breakfast and lunch. When Sunday arrived, we did not want to leave. We had such a relaxing time and enjoyed each other's company without all of the distractions in our everyday lives. Before we left, we promised that we would return. Our daughter is still talking it about it!

I was awestruck by the beauty, exclusiveness, and privacy that Seabrook Island offers. I was skeptical at first having never been in the Charleston area before, but I plan on returning each year from now on. Seabrook Island is gorgeous -- lovely, well-maintained homes and communities. Everyone is friendly. The beach is wonderful. There were some families there each day, but we were able to find our own area (crowding is never an issue). The guard at the gate gave us an island map upon arrival and with it, we were able to get wherever we needed to go. This condo is perfect! Clean, well-maintained and stocked with everything we could have needed (cookware, washer/dryer, towels, etc.). I stayed here with my two children (ages 10 and 15) and it was the perfect size for the three of us. The screened porch was my favorite spot - I enjoyed coffee and my book there each morning. The pool is very close by and is also very nice and well-kept. The owner of this property sent me a very detailed e-mail of information about the island and her favorite spots to shop, beach access, etc. which turned out to be so helpful to us. Additionally, she deposited my check exactly when she said she would. We spent our days at the beach which I previously mentioned was wonderful. There was so much wildlife there - hermit crabs abound much to the pleasure of my 10 year old child. Each evening, we drove (20 minutes or so) into Charleston for dinner and activities. It wasn't a long drive at all and was well worth it. Downtown Charleston has so much to offer and is gorgeous beyond words. The only thing that I disliked about the area was the local grocery store (I think it was called "Newton Farm" in the Freshfields Market center), which was *very expensive*, crowded, and not very well-stocked with items that I normally purchase at my home. The next time I visit, I will do my shopping at the Piggly Wiggly before I come onto the island. Overall, I was so very pleased both with the owner of this property and the property itself. My children are already asking if we can go back!
