Why the Owner Chose Emerald Isle
Emerald Isle is the last 'classic beach.' I grew up on the beaches of NC (some 50 yrs ago) before the invasion of traffic, condos, high rises, and 'honkey'tonk' junk. The beaches were pure, simple, safe and fun. Well, guess what - that's what "the Point" is at Emerald Isle - family oriented, no traffic, wide and uncluttered beach, all the shells you want to find, clean ocean, and perfect sunrises and sunsets. One day walking the beach and my partner and I said - "let's do it". So we bought a piece of land and built a home (not just a beach house) the way we wanted.
The Unique Benefits of this House
Inexpensive, quiet, a short walk to the widest beach at Emerald Isle (less than 150 yards), sunshine from sun-up to sun-down since it's southern facing, plenty of things to do nearby - and plenty of things not to do besides prop your feet up, relax, and become a total beach bum leaving all your worries behind. New Bern, sister to Bern, Switzerland nearby, and old Washington for history buffs, Bogue Inlet for championship fishing four blocks away, gathering at sunset with others Key West style at the Point, wonderful dining, and the list just keeps going.
