Welcome to "The Pond House." Located on secluded Bear Camp Pond, this year-round waterfront home is perfect for a group of adults or families with children. Less than a dozen houses rest on this pristine private lake located in historical Sandwich, New Hampshire. Our large wooded lot will give you plenty of privacy. Situated on a small sandy beach cove, spectacular views of Mt. Chocorua and the Sandwich Range abound from the floor to ceiling windows in The Pond House.

The lake provides a perfect area for swimming, kayaking and canoeing. Recreational amenities include a sandy private swimming beach, floating dock, boat launch area, kayaks, canoes, sunfish, plastic sleds and more! Take in the fall foliage; winter sports include skiing, sledding, ice fishing and snowshoeing on the lake. All seasons are beautiful at Bear Camp Pond and silence abounds.

This four bedroom home comfortably sleeps ten and has forced hot water baseboard heat. The entry level contains three bedrooms, one bath and an open living room/dining room fireplace sitting room arrangement. Teak floors, fir wainscoting, fully equipped kitchen with updated appliances, an enamel wood stove with glass doors and air conditioning are just a few of the special details of this home. One bedroom has two twin beds, another has a double bed and the third bedroom has a double futon. The full bath downstairs has a shower and contains a clothes washer and dryer. Hi- Seed WI-FI is available through out the property on your computer.

Upstairs on the second level is the entertainment room. Two large sofas with recliners and pull-out foot rests surround the large screen television. Board games, video and DVD movies are available for your enjoyment. A second extra-large bathroom rests on this level and contains a Jacuzzi tub/shower. An alcove provides additional sleeping quarters in the way of another double futon.

The master bedroom suite is located on the third floor. This spacious room contains a California king bed, big enough for a family of four to sleep in! Large closet space abounds in this room that has a sitting area and incredible views of the lake.

A welded steel barbeque with rotisserie and adjustable grill provide ample room to roast a pig. Double doors lead from the sitting room to the enclosed porch that overlooks Bear Camp Pond and Ossippee Mountain. Sturdy wrought iron furniture provides a comfortable setting to watch your children play in the water or read, relax or take an afternoon nap. The Pond House "Fire Pit" provides a perfect sitting area for evening relaxation.

There is easy access to grocery stores, restaurants and bakeries. Local attractions include the White Mountain National Forest, Cranmore, King Pine, Attitash, Black and Wildcat ski areas, Storeyland, the Remick Farm Museum, Barnstormers Theater, Squam Lakes Science Center, horseback riding, and outlet shopping in North Conway. Take a scenic train ride or pick blueberries at local Durgin Bridge Blueberry Farm (discount tickets available). We are minutes from many fine restaurants. Small airplane landing strip nearby.

Power boating is allowed on Silver lake, or the better known lakes Squam and Winnipesauke.

We use the home frequently and pride ourselves in offering a clean and thoughtfully equipped rental. Towels and linens are provided for a truly turnkey vacation experience. While the house is lovingly cared for and very well-maintained, it is not a fussy setting and the layout of the house lends itself to recreation and relaxation.

We come here to relax with family and friends and to slow down enough to appreciate the splendor of the sun creeping over the Ossippee Mountains at dawn, the peaceful hymns of "our loons" in the bay in the evening and the glory of the lake on a lazy summer day.
