Quantock House is one of the British Virgin Islands most elegant and gracious homes. It was designed by Jon Osman who was also responsible for Richard Branson’s Necker Island mansion, and was professionally decorated. It is now available for vacation renters. Quantock House sits on two acres overlooking Brewer's Bay on Tortola's lush northwest side, and boasts some of the most spectacular landscaping in the islands.
Electronic gates open to the palm-lined driveway and a covered parking area. Built on three levels, the villa's main floor includes a great room that has a wall of custom mahogany windows with stunning, almost unbelievable views. Large doors open to the West Indian verandah that offers alfresco dining, a sitting area, views of the glorious gardens, islands in the distance, endless ocean, the sound of tropical birdsong, and cool trade winds. The great room includes a formal dining area, a well equipped kitchen with custom mahogany cabinets, a formal sitting area, and a TV viewing area.
The main level's east wing includes an office with a powder room, and a beautifully furnished, air-conditioned master suite.
The second level is the west wing of the house and is 1/2 a flight of stairs below the main level. The west wing is entered through a corridor dotted with beautiful antique art, and includes the French Terracotta Suite, and the Monkey Suite. Both are air-conditioned queen bedroom and private bath suites.
All three of the east and west wing suites are fully-screened and enjoy private, vine covered balconies looking out to sparkling ocean views.
Another half down is the air-conditioned Elephant Suite furnished with two queen beds and a private bath.
Throughout Quantock House floors are strewn with oriental rugs. Lavish designer furnishings and attention to detail are evident in all parts of Quantock House.
The main, ground level patio level includes a full size swimming pool, barbeque grill, second kitchen that supports the barbeque grill and a dining area. There is also a separate sunbathing area. A winding path leads from the patio through a small fruit tree orchard and into the hillside landscaping.
