Jack and Shelly, Thank you for blessing us with your condo. It was immaculate and PERFECT for my wife and two boys (10 and 12). It had everything you could possibly need. Maui Sunset is a great location, close enough to the stores and far enough away from the Kihei business district. This is the most well-kept resort in Kihei plus located within a 30 minute drive to anywhere on the island. The resort has it all; except it's quiet. We were there over Spring Break and it was relaxing. No fighting over the BBQs or trying to find a lounge chair by the pool. It was PERFECT. Most of all, you felt like you became a part of Maui. Stay here and feel like a local for your whole stay. YES, it's on the beach. Jack and Shelly are so generous. Their condo is just want everyone needs, clean, loaded with stuff for the beach and relaxing, plus a well supplied condo to cook, relax, play games and enjoy. Mahalo!

Dear Sharon & Jack, Thank you for sharing your piece of paradise with us. Maui Sunset is a lovely location and your unit is exceptional. You have thought of everything - all the comforts of home! The unit is spotless and the beds are so comfortable. Waking up in the morning and enjoying our coffee on the lanai, while looking across the gardens to the ocean is an amazing way to start each day. This is the perfect location to stay in Maui. Well appointed unit - the owners have thought of everything. I can't come up with enough adjectives to describe how amazing this condo is or how gracious the owners were to me and my family. I booked the place at the last possible minute for a family's trip to Maui to celebrate my mom's birthday. I was on the verge of booking a place in Laihana that is almost double the cost of this one when by sheer luck I saw this listing and tried my luck. I immediately got a good feeling when I spoke with Jack on the phone, and how sweet of him to give us a last minute discount. Plus allowing us to have a late check out was so considerate of them since we have my niece with us and I was afraid to making her sleep in the car while we wait for our flight. The place is amazingly furnished with everything you could ask for and things you couldn't even think of until you found them. I suggest that all future visitors explore the beach closet first because you will find all sort of goodies there from boards to snorkeling gear. My family has a gorgeous time in Maui and part of them stems from having such a great place to come back to after a day in sunshine. Thank you for everything!

Island Style ocean front condo Maui Sunset

The listing photos accurately reflected the condo - very comfortable with an incredible view. Everything a person needed for the beach was available - no need to bring towels or a cooler. The kitchen was well stocked - home away from home. I would recommend the property to friends and relatives. The owners were very helpful answering our questions and concerns. We were able to drive the Road to Hana with our rental car and packed a lunch. The sights were amazing. The Blue Water Rafting company was the outfit we used for the snorkeling trip - highly recommend them. The paddle boarding was an adventure - rented the equipment from the concierge at the pool. Just be careful - good balance is an advantage. If you like sushi the Sansei is an excellant restaurant on S. Kihea Road - Ahi tuna entree was wonderful as was the yaki maki sushi, cooked salmon. Another good restaurant is Coconuts's Fish Cafe. Their fish tacos are very good.

Jack & Sharon, Thank you so much for sharing your spot in paradise. The website photos don't do your condo justice. The condo island decor is wonderful, comfy beds and central location on Maui make this an excellent place to stay. The Maui Sunset grounds are lovely, it's peaceful and quiet. Loved the view fromyour lanai. We made good use of the umbrellas, mats and coolers on our beach/snorkel days. It's a great value and we'd recommend it to friends and relatives. Again, Mahalo for sharing your lovely condo!

This was our sixth time staying at Jack and Sharon's condo. If you want a place that you can feel at home and truly relax then this is your unit! It is clean, welcoming and well-stocked with kitchen and beach supplies. The view of the ocean is great and you can enjoy watching the wind surfers from the lanai. Jack & Sharon, We enjoyed staying at your condo June 12-18th, 2009 for our "honeymoon". It was our first time to Hawaii and your condo was a great location for everything. The decor was cute with the Hawaii theme! We also enjoyed having internet access, the concession stand right out back at the pool so we could buy all our activity tickets right there at the condo, and finally the snorkeling right in back on the condo was incredible. Aloha Jack and Sharon, We so enjoyed our first visit to Hawaii with a week's stay in your Maui condo. It was everything I had read about in the reviews -- beautiful views and a fully-stocked home away from home. My husband and I comfortably enjoyed our three adult children in this unit for a full week of fun activities -- and even found some time to relax on the lanai each morning and evening. Hi Jack and Sharon! This was the first trip to Maui for my mom and I, and wow, what a way to start. Your condo felt so much like home. You have done an awesome job with the decor and the condo itself and it shows that you both care about your property. The views were fantastic and I enjoyed my wakeup time on the lanai each morning. What a wonderful, peaceful place. The condo was well equipped and as my mom put it, "we had everything we could have possibly thought of....and more." I really enjoyed talking to you on the phone and learning about Maui and your condo. The Maui Sunset grounds are well cared for and we had to check to make sure that the grass was real. It seemed more like a carpet than real grass. The whole experience was incredible and I wanted to thank you for being a part of our first trip to paradise and for allowing us to become a part of your condo family.

Oct.15 to Oct. 22, 2007 Dear Jack & Sharon, During the last 15 years, we have rented different condos at the Maui Sunset. Your condo is by far the best one that we have rented. The decor is lovely in each room with many beautiful pieces. You furnished the condo with everything that we needed that made our stay so comfortable and relaxing...especially your wonderful beds. Cooking was easy because your kitchen had everything that we needed - the rice cooker and waffle iron came in handy. We enjoyed having breakfast in the lanai each morning. The view is spectacular! We noticed that the pineapple is used a lot in your decor which is so fitting for your place since it is the symbol of welcome and hospitality. We look forward to staying in your condo again in the near future.

Sept. 9-17, 2007: My husband and I have just returned from our second visit to Jack and Sharon's home in Maui. Yes, I say their home because that is exactly how I felt upon entering, that I was home. This is not just a "vacation rental". It is a lovely, well cared for, beautiful place that is shared with all of us travelers. Lucky us. The 3 days after our daughters wedding were the most relaxing 3 days that we have ever had on a vaction. The wedding was perfect. The view and location was awesome. My family and I travel often, we had the priveledge of staying at Sharon and Jack Maui Sunset condo #218 May29-June 7, 2007. Upon arrival we found it to be delightful with all of the accomadations of home. The Kelly's thought of everything from good reading material to nice fluffy towels. We were close to everything Safeway, Long Drug, medical facilities and most important the beach and excercise room. I'm sure we will return again next year we hand a great time. We just returned from B-218 and have already booked for next year for our third stay - that is how amazing this condo is. We really appreciate the king and queen beds. It is perfect for couples who want to take a vacation together. The new bathrooms are amazing. They have a great music and movie selection for guests to enjoy. It truly feels like a home away from home. The Maui Sunset grounds are the best in Kihei. Mahalo!

We had the best time of our lives and because of Sharon and Jack thinking of every detail possible in the condo, all we had to do was have fun. If I could sum up this condo in one word it would be “WOW!” To start off the Maui Sunset is in an excellent location. Central to all things on Maui. The condo is meticulously decorated with a Hawaiian theme throughout. The view from the Lanai is spectacular! The pool, the grounds and the ocean with the West Maui Mountains in the background is breathtaking. Before arriving Jack had told me about the new bathrooms he was having put in. I had no idea just how beautiful there would be! One bathroom has an all stone floor along with new tile in the shower. It was so neat. It really felt like you where showering on a river bead! The other shower had really nice new tile with a whale engraved on the tile. Both where so unique. I had never seen anything quit like it! The condo was equipped with everything imaginable. You won’t need to buy anything but food! Most condos I’ve stayed at on Maui only have 1 a/c. This had 3! 1 in each bedroom and 1 in the living room. Although you don’t need them much it is so nice to be able to turn it on and cool down from the heat of the day. The Maui Sunset is staffed with excellent employees. My favorite was Jean down by the pool. She was able to take care of all of our tour travel plans. We had a helicopter ride, Para-sailing, glass bottom boat and a Luau planned, all on the days and times we wanted! Jean was a joy to talk with. I would recommend this condo to anyone who wants first-class accommodations.

We have had the pleasure of staying at the Maui Sunset for 25 years. B-218 is our favorite unit. It just keeps getting better! It has all the comforts of home plus a beautiful view of the Mountain, ocean and pool. It is a friendly place with serene surroundings that keeps us coming back to paradise!

My husband and I have stayed in B-218 many times before Jack and Sharon purchased it. The condo was O.K., nothing spectacular. However, all this changed this past February when we arrived. We couldn't believe our eyes, it certainly didnt even come to close to resemblance of the B-218 we stayed at in previous years. What a pleasant surprise; everything matched, the knives even cut; the beds were comfortable with lots of pillows; the kitchen was well equipped. The dinnerware had no chips on it; and the GLASSES were very "tropical" It is said that the island of MAUI is really just like paradise, this can also be said for B-218. Jack & Sharon have not forgotten anything including a "cooler" for you to take your beverages down to the pool in. I can't wait to again walk through the door at the Maui Sunset in B-218.

We absolutely loved the condo. It has everything to make your stay comfortable and it is so well maintained and spotless. All the little extras make for a perfect vacation. The grounds at Maui Sunset are outstanding and immaculate. It is so nice after a “tough” day on the beach to relax in the hot tub. The Kelly's are amazing to deal with. They are extremely quick to respond to any questions and make sure you are taken care of when you are in Maui. We loved it so much that we are returning next year (can't wait!)

We traveled with another couple and were so pleased with the comfort of having two bedrooms and two baths. We enjoyed the location to restaurants and grocery stores. Our evenings often started with watching amazing sunsets from the lanai than we enjoyed visiting by the swimming pool in the evening. What a beautiful "Hawaiian atmosphere" with the tiki torches! The tour desk was very convenient for booking island tours. We will return next year to Maui Sunset and B218.
