Today we leave your home for our home back in New York. It was the most restful time we have had in quite some time...It was only a week but it was great. Colony One is a perfect home base to see both sides of the island. We made two trips to Volcano Nationial Park, took a long hike to the far end of Punalu'u Beach (saw the turtles); hiked to the heiau over on the cliff (trail down by the golf course); visited the chapel up on the hill above Punalu'u and took many walks on the golf course. There are just so many things to do. Not a single drop of rain the whole time. We look forward to the next time we can come and stay. Mahalo for allowing us to stay in your house.

We had such a fantastic stay here! Great views, great pool, saw humpbacks and lots of turtles! Go to the lava rocks you see from the porch and watch the sea turtles ride the waves. We had great weather the entire time, only thing that would've made it better was if the lava was flowing at the volcano. Thanks!

The Pfeffer house is the best! Everything is just great! We saw 5 turtles resting on the beach. Enjoyed the wonderful view and very pleasant weather. The Sunday Farmer's Market in Volcano Village is the best anywhere: Great breakfasts cooked to order; wonderful varieties of produce; and the best bakery items! Starts at 7:00 to 10:00 and only 1/2 hour away. Mahalo and we'll be back!

The Vandergrifts and the Reeces had a wonderful stay. Nevin saw a humpback. Made our visit to the volcano easier. Aloha

Two weeks: House finch, saffron finch, house sparrow, northern cardinal (male and female), yellow billed cardinal, red crested cardinal, common myna, zebra dove, domestic ducks on golf course. HUMPBACK WHALES EVERY DAY! For one of the best hamburgers you will ever have go to Na'alehu; the Hana Hou. Wow! Thank you for such a nicely equipped condo. Everything is lovely. Our stay could not have been more perfect!

Happy New Year! We're in the process of finishing our home in Discovery Harbour. This was a haven of no stress. Your condo is the best equipped we've been to and quiet and comfortable. Mahalo.

What a shame folks stopped writing in '07. I truly enjoyed their thoughts. My husband and I came to the "Big Island" for work, but every night we got to come "home" to your lovely hale. It helped melt away our stress and weariness. We love the layout and the kitchen, balcony and living room are cozy. My only disappointment was the lack of a bathtub. I do like to soak in private. All in all our stay was excellent! Bless you for sharing your piecde of heaven with us. Mahalo

Aloha - What a wonderful place to lay back during stormy weather with hot tub as a haven! Loved the view! The kitchen is lovely, bedroom cosy, whole layout excellent. Kudos to architect & interior designer Melouise :-) The grounds keeper worked hard during this wet and windy storm to keep things looking ship-shape. And a big thank you to prior occupants who left microwave popcorn and garlic olive oil. Thanks

Mahola! Two weeks in Paradise!! We really appreciated your letting us stay in your Hale. Perfect location for our adventurous spirits. We visited every spot from here to Kona and from here to West of Hilo. We loved the snorkeling here and up at A-Bay. OH, and the night sky was incredible. Sunrises down at Black Sand Beach were awesome (5:30 AM). Ate pizza at Shaka in Naahelu which we recommend as well. At breakfast and lunch at the Punalu'u Bakery. The people who live on this islandd are so kind and friendly. The condo was comfortable and we hope that those who stay here will enjoy it. The grounds keepers do a great job and the place is well kept. We will be back! Aloha!

We enjoyed our stay here The complex is very nice and your condo is just short of being perfect. You need brighter lights in the bathroom (done by owner) and a larger kitchen trash can (done by woner) would make clean-up easier. Other than those items...perfect!

Staying here was pure Paradise! We found everything we needed. Having breakfast on the lanai was fabulous! The hot tub and the pool were a great way to end up the day. All in all this was a comfortable and very relaxing experience. If only we could stay longer!
