The Sandbar is an exquisite, new, ultra luxurious,7000 sq.ft., eight bedroom, eight-bath oceanfront estate located in a beautiful private brick courtyard in North Forest Beach. When you enter through the beautiful mahogany doors you are entranced by the breathtaking, 180 degree, floor to ceiling view of the ocean. This unbelievable home with heated pool* and spa*, sleeps 20 in pillowtop luxury.
The three-story estate boasts 2 gourmet chef's kitchens with top of the line appliances,custom cabinetry, and designer furnishings. Hilton Head's top designer decorated this breathtaking home to produce the ultimate vacation experience whether it be a large family or friend gathering or a spectacular romantic getaway for two.
This beautiful home offers granite countertops and travertine floors throughout, private luxurious baths for every bedroom, spa tubs,10 TV's, high ceilings, elaborate crown moldings, an enormous great-room and 3rd floor family room, two complete kitchens, several private balconies,2 fireplaces and fabulous oceanfront views.
The incredible great room with 180 degree views of the ocean is beautifully decorated with large plush sectional seating, chairs and ottoman,as well as a 48' plasma TV with DVD and gas fireplace. In the gourmet kitchen you'll find a large granite island facing the ocean with seating for nine,(in addition to the inlaid mahogany table which seats 12), two jenn-air convection/conventional ovens and cook top, built-in wine storage, two bosch dishwashers, two sinks with disposals and an ice maker. From anywhere in the kitchen you'll be entranced by the views of the beach and ocean. Outside is a large porch with white rockers and gorgeous oceanviews.
The dining room with floor to ceiling windows creates the perfect oceanfront dining experience regardless the time of day. The beautiful inlaid wood dining room table easily seats 12 with room for more.
The first of two bedrooms on the first floor offers a luxurious pillowtop king bed, TV/ DVD and full bath with shower that offers a private or hall access. The second bedroom, a master suite, offers a beautiful woven sea grass king pillowtop bed. The master bath has a large spa tub, separate stone shower with two showerheads, and two sinks with granite counter tops. Completing this floor is the first of two laundry rooms.
On the second level you find the grande master suite with a breathtaking ocean view, a majestic four poster pillowtop bed,plush oceanfront sitting area, beautiful desk and armoire with TV/DVD. The master bath complete with bidet and 2 walk-in closets, has a peninsula spa tub, wood and granite sinks and open stone shower with two showerheads. Double doors and open shower are handicap accessible..Off this master you'll find a spacious oceanfront balcony with white rockers.. perfect for watching the sunrise.
The third master suite shares this balcony and has a wall of windows to capture the beauty of the ocean. This master offers a beautiful iron scroll king pillowtop bed with antique quilt, TV/DVD and private bath with combination shower and tub.
The second floor landing is large and homey, adorned with a beautiful carved bench, wood artwork and small, antique looking chest of drawers. The fifth bedroom is unusual for it offers two matching pillowtop queen beds of dark bamboo and metal pineapples with black tommy bahama bedspreads. The large private bath has all the grandeur of a master bath with spa tub,dual sinks surrounded by granite and large separate stone shower.
The sixth bedroom is also unique. It is the perfect kids room offering 2 twin beds,each with it's own pull out trundle bed. The matching white lattice armoire holds a TV/DVD. The private bath offers a combination tub and shower.
On the third floor landing you will find a large inviting reading area with plush leather seating which brings you to a large double queen suite with gorgeous sunny master bath including spa and stone shower. The family room offers another spacious living area with 2 pillow top twin beds, pull out sofa,2 twin pull out chairs, fireplace, game table, many children's games, and big screen TV. Stepping outside you will find a balcony with white rockers and an unbelievable view.Perfect for a group of friends or family members. A 2nd full gourmet kitchen, laundry with high chair and pack and play crib, irons and ironing boards, and 2nd full hallway bath make this floor a home of its own. I would highly recommend this home to anyone! My husband and I hosted my parents, sisters, and their husbands/children at this home in April 2012. I must say it was plenty spacious for us all, and we each felt we had privacy, but also gathering room to have family dinners, etc. During our stay, there was a minor maintenance problem, and the manager of the home was very prompt in taking care of the issue with very minor inconvenience to us. I am sure it was a one time issue, and this isn't a regular occurance, as the home is in prestine condition. The kitchen is fully stocked with plenty of dishware and cookware, and we had fun making gourmet meals for our family. The home is also extremely close to the beach. You can enjoy beautiful ocean views from the dining room, living room, and several of the bedrooms, living areas, and balconies upstairs. It is also beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. The elevator made it very convenient for my parents to be able to move their luggage to their rooms without climbing many flights of stairs. :) We plan to vacation here as much as possible, and are excited to have found this home. I would recommend The Sandbar to anyone looking to be on the beach, in a beautiful home with plenty of space. We can't wait to return again next year! "Beautiful house, something for everyone!" Recently stayed at the Sandbar and had a great trip. The house was beautiful, as advertised, and in a great location. There was more than enough room for our group of 18 and the amenities significantly exceeded our expectations. Most of the girls stayed by the great pool and beach, while the men had a great time golfing. Lance (the caretaker of the home) was more than helpful and got the guys tee times at the private course, "The Golf Club,” where he is the pro. We just got back from our vacation at this amazing house. We had 20 people and never felt like we were on top of each other. The 2nd family room was the teenagers favorite hang out with it's beds and couches and chairs and big screen tv, they had everything they could want including the 2nd kitchen. The kitchen/living room area was enormous with enough seating for all of us. It was one of the best stocked kitchens I have seen on vacation. The pool area also was perfect with an excess of lounge chairs and a comfortable seating area where we enjoyed appetizers every night while the kids swam. I loved that there was sand in this area to occupy the 2-4 year old with sandcastles so we could relax.Coligny Plaza was just down the road so the kids spent a lot of days riding their bikes down there to shop. Great restaurants down there as well. The owners and caretaker were extremely helpful and easy to work with. I can't recommend this home enough.Did you find this review helpful? "The most amazing vacation ever!" This was a spectacular place! The rooms were beautifully decorated, very comfortable, spacious and equipped with all the latest technology. The 2 kitchens, the large bedrooms, bathrooms and living rooms make this the most comfortable housing we've ever experienced. The access to the beach, the views from the balcony(s) and the pool-side lounging make this an astonishing unforgettable place. Sep 27, 2010 "We had a fantastic vacation at this house." We had the best vacation at this house ever! The accommodations were outstanding along with the best service when anything went wrong. The beach views were awesome - beautiful surises and sunsets could be experieced from any of the 3 balconies. Just completed our 2nd vacation at this house. The area is beautiful and the house easily accomodates our large family (19). There's room for privacy and the kitchen/living area is large enough for family activities. The house is beautiful with all the amenities one could ask for. The beach and pool keep everyone happy, and it's only a short walk or bike ride to a town center for shopping and supplies. The owners and caretaker go out of their way to be helpful. For a fun family get together this place can't be beat!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, families with young children, tourists without a car.

Our family of 18 adults and children just returned from an amazing vacation at this property in Hilton Head at this luxurious property. Everything was as advertised and it truly exceeded our expectations. The home is beyond spectacular and the amenities were everything described. The view of the ocecan is spectacular and we enjoyed every minute of our vacation. We cannot recommend this place enough. The owner was extremely accommodating and Hilton Head Island is a fabulous vacation spot. We can't wait to go back!Recommended for: Families with teenagers, age 55+, families with young children, girls getaway, people with disabilities.

This home is fabulous! The main kitchen is so spacious and gorgeous. The bathrooms are awesome. The tile work is beautiful and the shower heads are wonderful. About the owner: Russ and I live at the shore in New Jersey with our 4 boys and we all look forward to the summer when we can golf and go to the beach. We discovered Hilton Head 12 years ago when I surprised my husband with a birthday trip there. We had such a wonderful week that we bought a timeshare and started bringing family and friends every year. We love trying new places but kept finding that we wanted to go to Hilton Head at least once a year. We eventually bought this house on the ocean so that we could be close to golf and still be right at the beach for anyone who wasn't golfing and also for those to enjoy when they finish their rounds. Our boys now try to go down with friends at least once a year as well as all of us gathering for at least one family trip. It is the perfect house for large family gatherings because it has areas to escape and be on your own as well as the large open great room for everyone to be together.
