Seaside is a place of whimsey for adults and children alike. Villa Whimsey, located on Tupelo Street, Seaside's first street, with easy access to the dazzling white beach and sparkling turquoise water for which the Gulf of Mexico and Seaside are famous, is the perfect place to call home during your visit. The wrap-around screened porch on the ground level immediately invites you to read, visit, or just hang out. It also welcomes you to the best of all possible beach house designs. A queen master suite, including a full bath and a private screened porch with a glider, a queen bedroom and bath, and the all important outside shower complete the ground floor. The second floor is an open, airy and light-filled dining room, kitchen, and living room with plenty of room for socializing with family and friends. Two decks encourage you to wake up slowly and then entice you to watch the sunset over the distinctive roofs of Seaside as another day comes to a close. A third-floor sleeping loft with views of the sky further adds to the ambience of being at the beach. The full bath has a whimsical claw-footed tub and a stained glass window. There are two twin beds with trundles in the loft. Villa Whimsey makes a restful and relaxing retreat for all.
Villa Whimsey is two doors from the Tupelo Street Gazebo, a favorite gathering place for young and old. The Children's and Recreation Areas are close by, along with unforgettable restaurants and boutiques. It is said that "all streets in Seaside lead to the sea" and Tupelo is no different. Your special treat is that your gateway to the beach is the Tupelo Street Beach Pavilion.
Seaside is a place different from any other. It allows the whole family a freedom to explore and experience a simpler life while benefiting from the New Urbanism that has been the guiding principle of this town. It doesn't matter if you are going shopping, to the beach, to a restaurant, or to the post office - walking is the preferred means of getting there. The opportunities to enjoy cultural activities whether it be live theater, great art galleries, live concerts, or movies on the lawn; to learn a new skill such as tennis, bocci ball, or extended porch sitting; or just to have fun riding bikes, sharing, and experiencing the special Seaside collection of white picket fences and pastel-colored wooden houses are all right there - just down an inviting brick street or a hidden winding path. Perfect location for a perfect house! Loft was great for 2 teenage boys and the claw foot tub was adorable! The house was so comfortable. Loved every minute of our New Year's trip to the beach. The weather was perfect and we didn't want to leave. We will stay at Villa Whimsey again!

We were so appreciative of the owners kindness and our experience at the Villa Whimsey over the Easter holiday of 2011. I had just lost my mother and needed a peaceful, "glitch-free" get-away... and this was certainly our answer. We had several questions and concerns about our stay before even arriving... which were quickly and thoughtfully addressed. Upon arriving I was deeply touched to find heartfelt words of condolences waiting for me! The villa was clean and charming, with all the conveniences we needed to feel "at home" during our stay. Most importantly, it was very quiet (a quick walk to all the "action" and beach, yet not in all the noise!). The only issue we mentioned to the owner was that the sleeping area was distinctively cooler in airconditioning than the other floors... yet this would not distract us from happily renting at the Villa Whimsey in the future. Thank you, sweet owners, for personalizing our visit to your home!
