You can't beat this value. Punta Blanca is a tight-knit community 16 miles East of the International Airport on Roatan, where neighbors know each others' name, engage in lively chatter on Channel 77 marine radio, and are quick to offer friendly advice, or share a dinner table (i.e. at the Crow's Nest at Marble Hill Farms). This home is secluded and private but not remote or isolated. Long term rental rates (i.e., minimum 3-6 mos.) are offered at great discounts. This is an up-and-coming part of the island, so a long-term rental is a great way to shop for values here, or oversee your own new construction. The Jiveshack is a traditional two-story octagon island home with high beam ceilings, two bedrooms, two baths (effectively two separate private units on each floor), nestled on a hillside, about 200 yards from the marina, with one of the best views of the North shore, and great trade winds. It is mostly new construction, freshly painted with bright Caribbean colors, tastefully decorated, and specifically outfitted for your comfort and entertainment. FREE WiFi internet access is provided, a value of at least $100 a month. FREE use of 2 person kayak. You will receive a "loaner" cell phone. Tropical Island Divers is just across the marina at local Marble Hill Farms. They offer great dive packages and can pick you up right in the marina!
There is an upstairs one bedroom, one bath with a great room and gorgeous Honduran hardwood kitchen, and downstairs studio apartment with full privacy, separate entrance, and one bedroom, one bath with kitchenette. The home is great for 2 couples who want to be close to each other, but have private snuggle time.
There are decks and patios galore, outdoor seating and hammocks. Amenities include ceiling fans (six!), standing fans, A/C downstairs, two TVs, two DVDs, two CD players, alarm clock, over 150 DVD’s, dozens of CD’s and books, magazines, tourist guides, board games, cards, and poker set. Both kitchens include pots and pans, dishes, microwave, blender, coffee maker, refrigerator, cooking utensils, toaster, flashlights, votives, and battery back-up power.
There are linens, bath and beach towels, washer/dryer upstairs, a propane BBQ grill, hairdryers, curling iron, washer/dryer upstairs, iron, a large two-person kayak and life vests locked at the marina for your use any time (this saves a bundle!), snorkel gear, coolers, home alarm system, security/caretaker.
There are two queen beds, a roll-away bed, and an air mattress, so the home sleeps 5 quite comfortably. There is a marine radio. We will make sure you are provided all that you need to know about the Jiveshack, the local community, and Roatan, and provide you with a cell phone contact. Smoking outdoors only please.

- The marina is about 200 yards away (4 lots). You can snorkel to the reef, kayak any time you want, or make a quick trip to Canopy Tours, Iguana or Butterfly Farm, swim with dolphins at Anthony’s key, visit world famous dive sites, play tennis at Fantasy Island, swim at Turquoise bay pool and engage in water sports as restaurant guest, visit many white-sand beaches, take a mangrove tour, attend nearby Garifuna cultural experience. The home has many tourist guides, and the Crow's Nest restaurant is accessible a stone throw away, at Marble Hill Farms, and favored by local residents, who can offer friendly advice and company.
