We are situated in the privately owned Tanglewood complex, right on fabulous Rathtrevor Beach, in the heart of the international tourist and golf destination of Oceanside, at Parksville, Vancouver Island, British Columbia.
Vancouver Island, particularly the Rathtrevor/Oceanside area, is noted for it's spectacular natural beauty, temperate climate and wide range of outdoor activities including outstanding golf courses and deep sea fishing.
Fantastic location.....Mere footsteps to the beach. Our particular unit has a very unique location with features that few others in the area can rival. Bordered by ocean and forest, we have a remarkably tranquil, private setting. Rathtrevor Beach is renowned for it's magnificent beauty, miles of soft sand and safe, warm, ocean swimming. Couple that with being nestled beside the enchanting old growth forest of Rathtrevor Provincial Park, with it's miles of hiking and biking trails meandering along the ocean and through the forest..... And you have a winning combination for a fantastic getaway.
The best of both worlds... The beauty of staying at our Beach Haven is that you have all the advantages of being in the heart of an international tourist destination while still feeling miles away from anywhere in this peaceful, secluded setting where you can watch the deer and rabbits feed at the water's edge, right outside your window. You are less than a 5 minute drive to Parksville and 20 minutes to Nanaimo, approximate population 10,000 and 100,000 respectively.
Fantastic day-trips... Within an approximate two hour scenic drive in any direction, visit the charming capital city of Victoria to the south, stopping in at Chemainus, famous for it's murals and Duncan, the "City of Totems", go north to the beautiful Comox Valley and smaller islands of Denman and Hornby or head to the wild and rugged West Coast with the world famous Long Beach and it's quaint fishing villages of Tofino and Ucuelet.
Simply relax... A great alternative is to spend your days relaxing on the fantastic beach or exploring the neighbouring provincial park, on foot or by bicycle. Take in the beauty of Rathtrevor, with the ocean set against the stunning backdrop of snow-capped coastal mountains, while Eagle's soar and Blue Herons feed. At the day's end, decide whether to fire up the barbeque and dine in on our private roof deck, picnic in the park or enjoy one of the many restaurants in the area. After dinner, choose to either take an evening stroll on the beach or seawall, relax by the fireplace, have a beach fire, watch for Alaskan cruise ships sailing past, experience one of many local entertainment options or simply stargaze.
A home away from home... As many of our guests have remarked, our Beach Haven is all that they anticipated and more. This 3 bedroom, 2 full bath condominium is spacious and bright, with over 1200 square feet, vaulted ceilings and numerous windows. It has all of the conveniences one would expect to find in a luxury condominium. Large, fully equipped kitchen, separate dining room, three TV's, 2 DVD players, internet access, gas fireplace, gas barbeque and patio table and chairs on our private roof deck, grassed yard, covered carport, storage area for bicycles etc. The condominium sleeps six comfortably with two queen pillow-top beds in separate rooms and 2 twin beds in another bedroom.

We love nature and the ocean in particular, hiking, biking, beachfires and wide open spaces. Rathtrevor Beach is a very special place that has provided all that and so much more, being only 5 minutes from the City of Parksville with all of the amenities and attractions of this international tourist destination.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
We bought our Beach Haven before it was built, therefore had our choice of 4 plex buildings within this 20 unit, upscale complex. It has the best location on the beach and we have what we feel is one of the best locations within. The location appealed to us because of it's natural setting away from the courtyard and next to the park. This offered so much potential for privacy and tranquilty, with lovely forest and ocean views besides. It was a great choice and we have never looked back!

Thank you for a great Vacation. We had 16 wonderful days in your condo. It is the quietest area of Tanglewood. The privacy was perfect. The view is spectacular. Every convenience of home plus elegant furnishings. We hope to return next year.

Just what we needed for our family. With kids ranging from 14 - 2; this condo had everything we needed for a restful and relaxing holiday. We really appreciated all the extra's such as movies, books, and toys for the beach. Highly recommend a stay at this property

We enjoyed staying in this attractive condo which is just as described.The views are great,the unit is very quiet;the kitchen is well equipped and we appreciated the extras such as beach toys, childrens books and some basic supplies. We certainly hope to return. Joan Archibald
