Crabbing on your dock, swimming in the ocean with a dip enroute home at North Shores Club pool to cool off and boardwalk visits in the evening makes memories that are the "beach". Have very private sun bathing outside/inside ...enjoy dining while watching the boat activities, and the soothing sounds of the small fountain trickle in the background. The furnishings are contemporary and handsome with folk art and nautical decor. All of the above are the bonus of a very quiet and private home site. The beach is for sheer enjoyment,wide and very safe. Three guards on duty..rental umbrellas and lounge chairs easily provided by the guards. The house provides four bedrooms with queen beds ..the fifth is a set of twin beds-all with pillows/duvets/blankets. Bring your own sheets and towels. Cook with Fridgidaire gas range/convection/electric oven and see water views through the walls of windows that allows enjoying your family when cooking. Breakfast dining in or out to catch the early birds and dinner at the large dining table inside or on the deck.
Rehoboth is really a multifaceted fun destination with many annual programs as free beach concerts and art/antique shows throughout the summer. Not far to Lewes up the canal by boat or car for history and the Ferry crossing to Cape May, NJ. Restaurants are new and exciting and range from pizza delivery to ethnic and fine gourmet dining. Spend some time shopping on Rehoboth Avenue...great brand names like Coldwater, Ralph Lauren, Vanity Fair so many more available at outlets with tax-free savings. Tuesdays at the new Rehoboth park farmer's market from 3-6 in the afternoon..Henlopen art league located adjacent in Henlopen area.. for shows and lessons. Catch up with all brochures at the visitor's center right off the circle and the new Rehoboth Museum now open just next door. Be sure to get the free local paper, "Delaware Coast Press", out on Thursday for local news of the area. Our beach is long and deep..good for walkers to hike up to the town or the WWII tower relic of patrols for submarines and foreign landing parties. Enjoy town's boardwalk for early morning walks and the good fun arcade with kids rides and games at the end of the boardwalk. The beautiful grass barrier on the town's boardwalk has grown and wooden paths go thru it to the beach. Many shops for browsing along the walk with food and beach gifts. Bikes certain hours only.

  • Gas Fireplace: Heatalator gas wood set in the stones for use in the Fall and later..

  • Queen Bed: Four new mattresses with pillow tops..all new..mattress covers new and quilted..please bring the larger size queen sheetings..
  • Twin/Single Bed: Plenty of pillows, blankets, all covers..

  • Cable/Satellite TV: Three TV's, one large in the family room and two in the bedrooms, all are on cable.Cable available in all rooms and in the atrium.

  • Shared Pool: his is the community North Shores Pool..a children's pool is part of it and the adults have a special swim time. This is just across the street from the ocean..We often, after a hot day on the beach, go for a swim. Two life guards on duty. Children's pool incorporated in the pool area.
Kitchen
  • Full Kitchen: Fridgidaire range with dual electric/convection oven with Broan exhaust very quiet and very strong to exhaust all cooking fumes. Newest Fisher-Paykel double dishwasher, Sharp drawer microwave and large four compartment refrig..with ice maker and water..tile floors in kitchen and old pine plank wood floors in TV.family room.
  • Cooking Utensils Provided: Lots of pots and pans..even for lobsters!!!! Crab hammers & good spices for seafood.
  • Refrigerator: New Samson fridge with ice maker and freezer..bought to fit into new designed kitchen. Two freezers on left side top and bottom..same for fridge on the right.
  • Dishwasher: Dishwashers in new kitchen..new double drawer style left to to sink..four speeds in length and power with eco as well.
  • Microwave: Microwave built in..new. Below counter top..Large Sharpe with prep sensor, cook at 9 levels, warming and reheat. use..
  • Ice Maker
Outdoor Features
  • Gas/Electric BBQ Grill: Yes..uses propane for fuel. We have an extra in the storage bin.
  • Deck/Patio: Long deck across the back of the house..with two spaces for dining. Look at pictures.
  • Balcony: At the rear of the cottage overlooking the yacht basin. 40 ft. deck with lower full deck for sunbathing, reading or yacht watching go down the canal..
  • Lanai: Center of house has an atrium roof..sun and rain welcomed. This is covered with solar sreening to reduce the heat in the cottage.
View/Location
  • Lakefront: Private marina..really neat for visiting boats. Dockage for your boat or canoe at our cottage dock out back. Boat rentals locally "Sharks cover watersports" 1-866-436-8500''kayaks, sea-doo etc. at Fenwick Island or Pontoo Expresso...Rehoboth at 302-682-5017 another Rehoboth Marina Ventures..302-226-2012 pontoon and fishing rentals..Call early for all..The marina has just been dug deeper for removal of silt..so we may be seeing a bit larger boats..the fish are many and the ducks, all kinds, the herons spend the early morning fishing for breakfast at low tide.
  • Waterfront, not Lake/Oceanfront. Ask for details: We look across to the marina..and green jap black pines grown along the waterfront shore..This is the best view in the commuity of North Shores...it has not changed in 40+ years..bring your boat, canoe or kayac and put it out back..the tide comes and goes so that is a real treat to watch..we also see many fish hopping out to catch a bug..others come in to feed at low tide...this is like having a nature park at your dockside..the crabs at low tide are plentiful..so with a chicken neck and string you can show the children and they are busy catching blue crabs.!!!!!!!!Bring them in and pop them in the hot boiling water ..then with newspapers on the table knock out the crab. We have big young people who bring their friends here just to show them this...crab cakes come from here!!!!!!!!

Red geraniums potted everywhere keeps a beautiful home look not found in rentals elsewhere, There are books galore for beach reading and latest magazines, TV/DVD also in couple tv's, A spice garden with tomatoe plant out back has good bits for your cooking enjoyment, Variety of spices kept in the spice cupboard for your use.
