CENTRAL AIR and beautiful Lake Michigan frontage. See for miles, spectacular view and beach go hand-in-hand with this Lake Michigan frontage four bedroom cottage. This is a home rental, many great dates still available. Owner has done much remodeling and updating and is ready for families’ great vacations. This cottage has a new sun-room full of windows for great views (you can see nearly a mile down the beach... please see the pictures). All new kitchen with tile floor, nice cupboards and counters for meals with family and friends
Rare opportunity to rent in the historic Little Point Sable Association with tennis courts and other amenities, including croft (unique outdoor game which is a combination of crochet and golf) and enjoy the association’s nature preserve for great hiking. Cottage has central air, two bathrooms, four bedrooms. Open the antique oak French doors to enter the master bedroom which has a queen bed.
The second bedroom also has a queen bed, third bedroom has a queen with a single bunk on top and the fourth bedroom has a set of bunk beds. These 3 bedrooms have all brand new beds.
The living room has a futon couch and a second couch with many chairs for comfortable relaxation. This home accommodates eight people (or inquire if extra with infant).
This cottage is on the beach with great views of Lake Michigan from many rooms. Cottage has a microwave, Dish TV, DVD, gas grill, patio furniture. There is lots of privacy and great sandy beach, nice shade trees in back. Take a stroll to Little Point Sable Light House by walking along the shore line. Summer, fall, winter or spring, this is the place to get away and relax.
This cottage is also conveniently located to Double JJ Ranch which has a water fun park and promotes several activities including golfing at Thoroughbred Golf Course, horseback riding, weekly rodeo show and family time barbecue, to name a few. One could easily spend a day at Michigan Adventure which is about fifteen minutes away and has two theme parks: the water park and the rides.
Silver Lake Sand Dunes are a "must see". Also there are tour rides on the dunes, or rent your own jeep, visit Craig’s Cruisers, mini-golf, rent a boat, just to name a few suggestions. Pentwater is a unique Harbor town that many enjoy visiting. Visit the shops or enjoy the Thursday night weekly band concert on the village greens.

As former teachers we know how great it is to find the right place to get away and relax. We have rented our Lake Michigan home for the past few years with many of our families returning every year. There aren't many homes like this for rent.
Why the Owner Chose Silver Lake
We bought in this area because it was right on Lake Michigan and just 25 easy access steps to the beach. It is easy to get to, from Chicago it is only 4 hours.

Far Far View is an appropriate name for this beautiful cottage. The panoramic view of Lake Michigan from the sunroom is breathtaking. Our group consisted of 4 couples, all 59+ years old. The steps to the beach were very do-able for us. The beach was private and we found the water to be shallow a very long way out (would be fun for little ones.) We enjoyed campfires on the beach at sunset several evenings during the week with the firewood supplied. We spent a day away from the cottage shopping in close by Pentwater and Ludington. Silver Lake is the closest town(15 min) dune rides, go carts miniature golf and restaurants are fun activities found there. The cottage is comfortable, clean and well maintained. The photos don't do it justice, We found the kitchen to be more than adequately stocked with dishes, pots & pans etc. There was even a new, huge gas grill available for our use. The frig was a generous size for our needs too. I enjoyed her eclectic decor and the art displayed here and there, very tasteful! This was the most relaxing vacation I've had in recent years.
Recommended for:Girls getaway, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, adventure seekers, families with young children, sightseeing, age 55+.

My family and I rented this cottage in mid-August. It was terrific. The cottage sits on a low bluff in the trees, which gives a great cozy feeling when in or up at the cottage. It was very clean and ready for our arrival. The photos on this site do not do the cottage justice. We asked for additional photos prior to renting and the owner sent them asap. The additional photos were great and the cottage was as pictured! The owner was terrific in responding and answering all of our questions. I would rent from this owner again. The cottage is well equipped with everything you could need. Plenty of dishes, glassware, and pots and pans for making meals. There is dish/cable tv, but as the listing states cell phones do not work on the dune at the cottage. The beach is a very easy 25 steps down from the cottage. The beach was absolutely amazing, very sandy and soft. The water was very warm and crystal clear. Swimming was great, as the lake bottom is sandy very far out. The area is quite secluded, although there are other cottages next door. It is wonderfully quiet and restful. However, if you want to be more adventurous there are things to do close by. We did the Mack Dune rides with our young children, played mini-golf and tried out the go-carts by SIlver Lake, only 15 minutes away. I definitely recommend this cottage to anyone who is looking for a great place to spend a week at the beach without any distractions. We really enjoyed swimming at beach, the amazing sunsets at night and relishing all the quality time with our young children.
