The views from the balcony are spectacular. It's right on the beach and near the shops and restaurants at Front Beach, the "downtown" area of Isle of Palms.

We are Dan and Barb Brown. We own and manage 4 vacation properties on the Isle of Palms and one in Lake Geneva, WI. We live in Evanston, IL and enjoy our trips to Charleston, especially in the winter! We chose Charleston for its clean beaches and great amenities, including excellent restaurants. It's easy to get to town or the airport and the golf courses are great. We pride ourselves on keeping the properties clean and updated with comfortable furnishings. We also emphasize service and ease of booking/check-in. Our guest comments speak for themselves.

This unit is unbelievable! We have rented through VRBO in the past and recently rented this property, and loved it! The floor plan is great for extended families vacationing together due to the individual bathrooms for each bedroom and the large kitchen/eating/den area! The view from the large balcony is great, you overlook the pool, and you can see up and down the shoreline! The pictures really do not do it justice!

We absolutely loved our stay here. The condo is very nice and has everything you need for the beach. Nice kitchen, baths, and comfortable furniture. The balcony overlooks the pool and gives you an awesome ocean view. We would definitely stay here again!

My daughter and I, along with my son in law and 2 beautiful grandchildren stayed at Dan's place on May 4-8 2011, celebrating both of our birthdays and Mother's Day. This was my first VRBO experience. I was nervous about sending money to a stranger for a place I couldn't actually go see. I took the plunge and I am so glad I did. I will, if possible use this property and this owner again. It was the best of everything. The condo was beautiful and the quality of the location, parking garage, private pool, private access to the beach was AWESOME! I will have to say, that by nature I like the best and was more than pleased. I earned this vacation, saved, sacrificed and enjoy the priceless moments with my family. Everything you could possibly need is close by. We visited the oldest plantation in the area and it was beautiful. There was a quaint little shop across the street and the talking parrot "Buddy" was hysterical. My grandchildren enjoyed the Ben and Jerry's ice cream across the street also. Dan is great to work with, easy to get in touch with, answers all your questions and does exactly what he says he will do. Thanks Dan for allowing my family to make lifetime memories in Isle of Palms, SC.

Being from Texas, my family has enjoyed many vacations on the Gulf Coast. This year due to the possiblility of tar balls, we decided to try the East Coast. I have rented vacation properties from VRBO the past several years and have always had a great experience. This year was just as pleasurable! We had never visited South Carolina before and were very lucky that the Brown's had a vacancy at their condo. This condo was super clean, right on the beach with great views of the waves and the complex pool! We were welcomed with a nice letter and a complimentary bottle of wine.. With 2 teenagers in tow, it was great that everyone had their own room and bathroom. The Isle of the Palms is a great destination as it is low key, has beach front restaurants, pizza across the street and close enough to go into Charleston to learn about history. Must try the local dishes of She Crap Soup and Shrimp and Grits!The beach was one of the best beaches I have ever been to. The water is clear, with no seaweed or jelly fish. Great waves too! I would highly reccommend this unit as well as this destination.

I have stayed in many condo's through the years and this one just made the top of the list. The photo's simply do not do it justice. The decor is excellent and these units are roomier than other modern three bedroom condo's we've seen. My family and I went to the beach alone this year (we normally vacation with other families), but there is plenty of room here for three families to share. From the time you arrive, you instantly become aware that these owners are first-class individuals who know the meaning of southern hospitality and appreciate your stay. This place is stocked with everything you need and most of what you could want (even corkscrews - thank you). The cookware is plentiful, not minimal, like most rental properties. There is glassware and stoneware galore, extra pillows, a box fan to sleep by (if the ocean isn't enough), and the towels are like blankets. There is nothing you need to bring with you except your clothes. Even toiletries are provided! Unlike most condo's I'm used to staying in in the Gulf Coast region, this building is on a smaller scale, which means less crowding and more privacy. The upkeep of the property is excellent. The grounds are beautiful with plenty of photo-ops, and a fresh coat of paint was being applied to the exterior as we left, even though it wasn't needed. The owners at 1140 Ocean Blvd really take pride in this property. The location is great. Directly across from the building is Luke and Ollie's Pizzeria (great food and drinks) and several souvenir shops. The description in the listing says across the street, but don't be concerned about traffic - the street is more like a parking lot. It's a slower pace here - no fast and busy commercialized oceanfront parkway - just people walking up and down the sidewalk to the shops, restaurants and pubs. There is a grocery store a block or so away and the marinas are just a short drive. Did I mention Charleston? Ahh, Charleston. What a beautiful and historic city! This was our first trip to the Charleston, we stayed in the area nearly two weeks, and still couldn't see everything we wanted to see. We love this place and will hopefully be back each year for years to come. The Gulf Coast is no longer our vacation destination. Thanks Dan and Barb for making this property available.

A great location on Isle of Palms with panoramic views from the top floor balcony of the beach. Nice floorplan with views from most of the rooms. Very clean. Across the street from Ben & Jerry's and shopping with choices of beach fare (Banana Cabana) or fine dining with views (Huck's restaurant) next door. We found lots of starfish and sand dollars each day in the surf and tide pools. Approx 20 mins drive to downtown Charleston to enjoy the aquarium, Market street or excellent low country fare.

The location is great, easy walking distance to shops, bars restaurants and market. Beautiful views from the third balcony. The unit was clean and spacious. We liked having an elevator at times. I would highly recommend this place, having 3 bedrooms 3 baths works great for a family of 4-8 people. Easy access to the beach and pool.
