Very nice views. Road to home could be graded for smoother ride. Rail to basement would be a big plus. Upstairs stairs very steep for older persons. Otherwise, top notch home. Beautiful scenery, very quiet area. Nice deck for viewing stars. Long drive into Yellowstone if you plan to go more than once, it gets tedious because you need to go the same way every time. We traveled over 1700 miles in rental car, loved exploring the back roads in Paradise Valley, even moreso than Yellowstone. Most everything needed is supplied by the owners, which makes a nice stay.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, age 55+, sightseeing.

We stayed here for 10 days. A family of five. Plenty of room to move around. We had neighbors but never saw or heard them. Very quiet and serene area. About 30 minutes from the North gate of Yellowstone. We drove into the park each day and then came home to a very relaxing atmosphere. Most mornings we got up early (sun rises very early compared to Texas) and drank coffee while observing the mule deer in the yard. Stay here if you get a chance. Great price for the area and owners are very helpful and easy to work with.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

We stayed at this house for a week at the end of September 2011. It was our first time in Montana and visiting Yellowstone NP and our first time using VRBO so we didn't really know what to expect. Now that we've dealt with more house owners i have to commend Bob for making the whole process so smooth and fast and hassle-free. He was a pleasure to deal with! We got our deposit back after we came back without having had to ask for it. we also appreciated the little personal touches around the house when we got there such as trail mix and popcorn and all the different magazines and brochures about the area and the parks and of course the DVD collection, especially the Yellowstone DVDs which we enjoyed immensely. Having books in one of the bedrooms was super nice as well! Finding the house was very easy, we just followed Bob's directions and had no problems. The house is located in such a great area: since we were there in the fall, you could see the tree leaves changing color, the grass was all white-yellow and those mountains in the back were amazing! the weather was quite warm with day temperatures in 60s-70sF on our arrival, but nights and early mornings were much cooler! it was quite windy some of the days and there was some rain overnight, so beautiful fall weather! we really enjoyed the apple tree by the house and the family of mule deer that greeted us when we arrived. the house itself has 3 levels: the living room/kitchen/one of the bathrooms and two bedrooms with the deck are located on the main(second) level. we mostly used the main floor and were very comfortable there. the living room is very nice with a huge deck and a hot tub/grill and a great place to watch the stars at night. the kitchen was well-equipped and we had everything we needed including soap and cleaning supplies which we really appreciated. the only thing that could be improved in the kitchen is the sharpness of the knives; they were quite dull. there's another bedroom in the attic, but the stairs are quite steep. there are more bedrooms and another kitchen and bathroom and washer/dryer in the basement(all bedrooms and kitchen have windows), but i much prefer the main floor! the house was very clean. so the house was great for us and our needs and we would not hesitate to stay there again. it's about a 45 minute drive to Yellowstone NP entrance in Gardiner, MT and it's a beautiful drive(you can see bison, mule deer, pronghorn sheep and coyotes). Thanks Bob for letting us stay!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing.
Owner response: Hello Tanya, Thank you very much for the kind words...truly! We're very happy to have been able to accommodate you and your party in a pleasing way. Thank you again, you're wonderful people and you're always welcome to our home! Bob & Pam of Paradise Valley Getaway.

We were so pleased with our choice of the Paradise Valley Getaway. It was simple to get to from Bozeman Airport and the location is perfect for numerous day trips. However, we enjoyed the the place so much that we stayed at the house and relaxed much of the time. Sitting on the deck was wonderful as the clear, sunny mid-August weather was absolutely perfect. We welcomed regular visits from deer in the afternoons. The kitchen was well-equipped and we ate nearly all of our meals at the house. All of the appliances and utensils were in excellent condition. Everything in the house was impeccably clean. I can't emphasize enough how wonderful the views are, not just from the deck, but also the living room and kitchen. This house probably has some of the nicest, unobstructed views in the area. There's plenty of space between the house and its nearest neighbors making it feel private, but it's also not too far removed from things. I heartily recommend Paradise Valley Getaway and would absolutely return again.Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing.

This place is everything described and more. Seriously, the pictures don't do it justice. We stay at many VRBO's and we set a very high bar for excellence.I would say this was one of the very best places we have ever stayed in. Almost every waking moment at the house was out on the back deck. The crisp mountain air, comfy deck furniture and amazing scenery begged to be enjoyed (rain or shine)! This place is very spacious and we all had plenty of private space. Everywhere we turned, we saw special touches that welcomed us as guests. The kitchen was well-stocked (except no dishwasher) and my husband (gourmet cook, if there ever was one) was thrilled to find every kind of cookware needed. Although this place is a good 30 minutes from Yellowstone, it was nice to be away from all the mania the closer you get to the park. Our teen grandsons went white water rafting and loved it. Swam at Chico Hot Springs (they thought that was ho-hum) but we ate at their pool-side cafe and it was delicious. If you're going to YNP, I'd suggest going to Hayden Valley to see wildlife -- early. We got there at 7:00am and according to others, missed a lot of stuff an hour earlier. We stayed here a week and would loved to have stayed longer. You will love this place. We certainly did!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, people with disabilities.
Owner response: Hello Linda, Thank you for the wonderful review. We try making it as much as possible like a home away from home without the hotel feel. You're among the growing number of people choosing to reserve a year ahead of time allowing you the opportunity of picking the week you want. It was great having you and you're always welcome to our home! Very Appreciatively, Bob & Pam of Paradise Valley Getaway.

Beautiful home....especially loved the "old school" wood floor in kitchen! We were concerned there would not be enough room for all of us to find some alone space but not an issue (the children made their own little"Lego Land" in the lower level back room). The deck and patio were so much more than expected! Glorious days spent hiking local trails, Yellowstone, white water rafting, Chico Hot Springs, fly fishing (which was best in Yellowstone due to the high muddy water in local rivers/lakes) and just hanging out in this wonderful home. But, sorry to say, I think the mosquitoes followed us from Minnesota and we decided to leave them there so bring repellent if you want to enjoy being outside in the evenings. Would we (family from Minnesota, Colorado & Oregon) meet here again some year? Yes!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children.

Wow! What a wonderful place! If you rely on pictures in an add to help you choose your destination, look no further! This is a beautifully maintained property with all the amenities you could imagine! Great for large groups as there are 2 kitchens and a 6 person hot tub on the deck overlooking Emigrant Peak. This property is approx 30 miles north of Gardiner and the north entrance into Yellowstone Park, a nice drive along the river. Chico Hot Springs is just down the road. Deer came right to the deck to visit regularly, so neat to see! Will be telling friends and family about it for years to come. Highly recommended!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+, sightseeing, families with young children, people with disabilities.

The views at PVG are spectacular! This is a roomy, clean and well-furnished rental. No detail has been overlooked. Our family of 5 (with 3 large teenagers) were extremely comfortable with all kids getting a bedroom to themselves. The beds were beyond comfortable! We enjoyed every minute of our stay and were very sad to leave. It was a wonderful place to relax and unwind after many full days at Yellowstone. PVG is secluded and private, yet convenient enough to Yellowstone and Emigrant for supplies. I especially enjoyed visiting Poppy's Coffee before our daily excursions. I work at Starbucks and unfortunately, am hopelessly addicted. Thank you, Bob and Pam, for opening your beautiful home for us. We hope to return there someday soon!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children.

Our family had a GREAT vacation at Paradise Valley -- all the comforts of home and more. There wasn't anything you didn't think of, it was spotless and the views and scenery are amazing. The hot tub was a relaxing place for our family each evening and we enjoyed watching the deer in the yard each day. We would highly recommend horseback riding in the hills at nearby Bear Paw Outfitters - a very experienced family run business. Thank you for a vacation my family will remember for a lifetime!!Recommended for: Romantic getaway, girls getaway, families with teenagers, sightseeing, families with young children.
