  This cottage is beautiful, well-equipped, clean and well-maintained. It was exactly as described. We watched the sunset every day from the lanai. Couldn't have been happier. Also, the owner and property manager were super-easy to work with and responsive. Couldn't recommend this property more highly. We will definitely stay here again!

  We recently spend 5 nights at this lovely home. We spent quiet mornings filled with bird song and warm breezes, and lovely evenings watching gorgeous sunsets and tiki torches glowing the perimeters of the gardens, from the very comfortable lanai. Patty was amazing - there for us when needed, yet unobtrusive. She is a jewel on the property! Our needs and wants were met - even down to the boogie boards, beach mats, towels and chairs! Definitely would recommend this to others seeking ãn away from the hotel scene holiday..

  We stayed at this AMAZING, beautifully appointed home for three nights and our only regret was that we didn't stay longer. Used Marriott points to stay in Waileah and crammed my family of five into a standard hotel room. Came here and spread out in luxury. Such a relaxing atmosphere, overlooking the ocean with a wonderful deck, tiki torches and a jacuzzi. Patty, the property manager, was so nice and helpful and really did a great great job in both welcoming us and helping us through some logistical issues. Some reviewers have complained about the construction next door. I can tell you, it's almost done and though it was still noticeable, it did not bother us. Looks like they'll be done in the next few weeks. Property is conveniently located to the town of Lahaina - which had a great vibe and great shopping. HIGHLY HIGHLY recommend.

  Our family stayed for 2 weeks at the beginning of March at this beautiful property. The cottage was nicely laid out, and the property itself was beautiful. Our toddler loved running around on the lawn and looking at the gardens. Unlike some of the other properties in the area, this one is well screened with mature trees, and located at the end of a long driveway. The downside, which was substantial, was the construction going on next door. Unlike the other reviewer from earlier in the year, we weren't told about it in advance. The property manager Patty told us about it on our arrival, and said how noisy it had been, but said she assumed we knew. We chose this property so my husband and I could enjoy a place while our toddler napped in the afternoon. Construction made naps impossible, and daytime enjoyment of the property during construction wasn't possible. I asked Annette why we weren't told about this before our arrival, and she indicated she had been told by the project manager of the construction that it would only be indoor work. Although there was some indoor work, there were back hoes, cement trucks, front end loaders, bob cats, outdoor tile saws and jackhammering going on every day (except Sunday) starting around 7:30am and continuing to about 4. This equipment was sometimes within 25 feet of the lanai, as it would run along the new driveway just on the other side of the palm trees bordering the cottage. We expressed our concerns with Annette and asked her to let future renters know. What's important for future renters to know is that there are two properties undergoing construction next door. Currently, construction is going on at 51 Awaiku Street, which is just slightly above this cottage. Hopefully it will be finished in the next couple of months. However, there is another lot just slightly below the cottage that is 51B, and construction has yet to start on that site, although the area is prepped. To sum - if there isn't construction going on, this place is a 5 star. If there is construction going on, at the level we experienced, the place is not enjoyable during the day, and only becomes a true retreat in the late afternoon/evening.

  what a wonderful experience this place was! besides being beautiful it was well stocked with ALL things you could imagine..anything you needed, it was there! what a beautiful view! breathtaking to wake up everyday to beautiful lanai island..and beautiful blue water! we were up the mountain so the view was spectacular. so wonderful it felt like home, it is still so much a part of my soul..thank you so much to the owners and caretaker for making our experience beautiful.the memories of spending the holidays in hawaii will remain with us forever and this place is the perfect memory..God willing..we will return.

  We spent 8 nights in this lovely cottage. The view across the water from the wraparound lanai, the master bedroom, the kitchen and the main living area was absolutely spectacular...fabulous sunsets every evening. We enjoyed stargazing from the hot tub nightly. The photos on the website are accurate and the home is clean and very well tended. Annette, the owner, was easy to work with. Patty, the caretaker, was responsive to our questions and knowledgeable about things to do on the island. The house was well-equipped and outfitted...everything was well-maintained and in good working order. The listing description is generally accurate, except that the property is now 1 acre and a large home is being built next door (to the south of the property). This was really the only negative about staying on this property and the only reason we aren't giving it 5 stars right now...there was construction noise almost every day except Sunday, usually starting around 7:30am (loud enough to wake us up a couple of mornings) and ending by about 4pm. This could be a significant factor during the next few months for someone who is seeking peace and quiet and planning to be on the property during the day. We knew about the construction beforehand and it wasn't a big issue for us since we were out almost every day enjoying activities and adventures around Maui. We have already recommended this house to family and friends. We stopped at Costco near the airport after picking up our rental car, then prepared all our own meals at a very reasonable cost. We packed a lunch to take in the cooler every day. We made fruit smoothies and frozen cocktails in the blender...a perfect way to wind down before dinner. We barbecued steaks and shish kabobs on the grill and enjoyed breakfasts and dinners sitting on the lanai...it was relaxing and thoroughly wonderful. Tiki torches in the yard were a nice tropical touch. The 4-hr Kai Kanani snorkeling tour from Makena Beach was great fun. We also had a blast ziplining (for the first time) at the Piiholo Ranch. We took day trips and drove around both ends of the island (narrow, winding, spectacular roads). We drove to the top of Haleakala...wow...what a view...cold, windy, breathtaking! We enjoyed visiting the Iao Valley, the Sugar Museum and the Tedeschi Vineyards. Beautiful beaches and rocky coastlines...endless. "Maui Revealed: The Ultimate Guidebook" by Andrew Doughty is a great source of information about things to do and see on the island.

  Where to start... All I could keep saying as we walked through the door was, WOW!! Even as we started our drive up the hill and onto the driveway and then saw the property; it was all amazing! The house, the lanai, the yard, the views!! Paradise!! Thank-you for keeping such a treasure, affordable; so that families are able to enjoy! We loved sitting on the lanai each morning ( very peaceful). Relaxing in the jacuzzi with the tiki torches lit at night. What an experience!! A big thank-you to the property manager, Steve. He was very friendly and very helpful. The fresh fruit tray was delicious and very appreciated. Thank-you so much Lloyd and Lynda for sharing your beautiful Maui home! Everything that you would need was there. Very clean and beautifully decorated. You were so quick to answer our e-mails. It was a pleasure to deal with the both of you - very friendly! Our family of five LOVED our stay in paradise! I would recommend this property in a heartbeat!

  This home is truly located in paradise. The yard is exceptionally beautiful, as is the home itself. You feel like you are staying in a private sanctuary, yet the home is conveniently close to Lahaina. We enjoyed dining and relaxing out on the lanai, as well as reading a good book while listening to Hawaiian music in the comfortable chaise lounges. We felt like we were centrally located for our excursions on the island, but we looked forward to coming back to the cottage to relax. So many wonderful amenities were provided. This place is a dream! The owners were so kind and easy to work with. We look forward to coming back!

  Aloha, I have been wanting to send this email a week ago but it is taking me abit to get over my Maui withdrawal !!! lol Your cottage was amazing, we loved everything about it, although we were on the Island for our daughters wedding and did not spend alot of time there it will be a memory we won't soon forget. The peacefulness of the neighbourhood, the view, the mornings & evenings on the lanai were amazing !! The flowers & coconut trees, the rooster crowing every morning....The gorgeous beach just down the hill were awesome. Tina was a sweetheart, the house was clean & stocked with all sorts of things that made the vacation enjoyable. Although we did not get to use the hot tub as it blew a main breaker inside the house, Joe, the property manager did let us us another property to swim & hot tub for part of our stay What a great man, every person on the Island was friendly & helpful.We recommended your home to people everywhere. Cannot wait to return to this Gorgeous Island.... Your property gets a 5 Star from us. MAHALO

  The property speaks for itself but equally important to us is the ease in dealing with Lloyd and Lynda. They are so quick to answer any questions, no matter how many you may have. The home is a beautiful escape in paradise with all the privacy you could ever ask for. The hot tub is such a gift; the star gazing is an awesome way to end your day. We've already booked for next year! Don't hesitate to book this home!
