  We just got home from a 9 day vacation at this lovely condo. Everything stated about this awesome place is absolutley true. Spacious and perfectly located is an understatement. The view is wonderful encompassing the full impact of the surf and ocean and from one end of the huge lanai you can overlook the pool as well as the ocean. Truly outdoor living at its' best. The condo has a fully stocked kitchen with condiments and utensils to cook just about anything you choose. There are enough linens for 4-6 people for a week or more. The people at the Royal Kahana Resort are very helpful with suggestions and directions to the many island activities. Do as much or as little as you like and enjoy every minute of your stay at this wonderful location. The owners are exceptional to work with and they follow-up on every question and request, making this the best and easiest vacation we have ever taken. We have already decided to return there next year for a repeat of our perfect experience in this Maui condo. If you go, be sure and enjoy the sea turtles in the surf just below the lanai and the whales blowing and breaching further out. The sunsets from the lanai can't be beat anywhere!

  You stroll into the condo, out to the Lanai, 180% of ocean view. Whales jumping, turtles bobbing by the beach. Who wants to see that? Simply Fantastic,,,I would stay or recomend it ANYTIME. Cant describe. Doug

  Our stay at the condo was wonderful. Everything you needed and then some was there, just stop on the way in to get groceries and you are good to go. The third floor condo offered good whale sights and the turtles right below, which we watched daily. Everything was very clean and the resort offered people staying there from all over the world. Would recommend this unit for an incredible stay in Maui, and look forward to my return.

  Four of us had a wonderful stay at this terrific condo. The large living area and two master suites makes it a great place for two couples. One bedroom is on the ocean side and the views at night and the sound of the ocean is wonderful from there.

  We loved the property and view!! Oh that lanai, we could live on the lanai!! We watched the whales jumping, the sunsets, kids swimming in the ocean and swimming pool all from the lanai! Steps away from the beach.The property is well maintained, and affordable compared to others we veiwed online. Kathy was great during our booking process and helpful tips! I would highly recommend!

  What a marvelous place for a 50th anniversary celebration! We were fortunate enough to spend a whole month here enjoying the spectacular views of Molokai, Lanai and the beach right in front of the condo. This wrap around unit with picture windows was the most spacious condo we've ever stayed in. We found it to be beautifully furnished just as shown in the listing photos. We found everything to be exactly as described in the listing. The condo was very clean and for the most part well maintained.. The grounds and pool were meticulously cared for. We were thrilled to see dolphins, whales and numerous turtles. The grand children enjoyed swimming and snorkelng right in front of the condo. We used the barbecues many times for our home cooked meals and some members of our party used the exercise room and found it to be well equipped. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch at Mama's Fish House. The Old Lahaina Luau was outstanding in every way and well worth the price. We would highly recommend the dinner cruise by Quiksilver which was purchased from Boss Frog's. The food was delicious and the service superb. We visited Maui Taco three times to have those yummy fish tacos. We visited the Maui Swap meet every Saturday morning to buy our fresh produce and beautiful flowers to enjoy in the condo. We certainly appreciated having vases available. We also visited the winery, goat cheese farm and especially enjoyed the Kaanapali Beach walk which we did several times a week. The owner (Kathy) was always prompt in answering our questions and we want her to know we appreciated having the free Wi-Fi in the unit. We consider this condo the ideal place to stay on Maui and would highlyrecommend it to family and friends.

  The moment we(2 couples) stepped into this condo, we were all shrieking with joy! It was way above our expections. Sometimes, when you get a great rate, you can't help but wonder if what the place is going to be anything like the pictures on the posting, but this condo blew any such thoughts away. You just can't beat the panoramic view from almost EVERYWHERE. We stocked up in COSTCO on the way in and had every meal sitting on the LANAI - the best seats in the house. There is a nice little beach with calm waters and we used almost all the facilities - pool, Tennis courts & Ping Pong. The condo is very spacious with every beach equipment you will ever need. Kathy was extremely helpful and gracious and took care of every detail. Right next door in Napli Bay, you have the best snorkeling (your very own "turtle town") and Para-sailing is a blast in Kannapali beach which is 10 minutes away. Without a doubt, this was our best vacation every. Wish I could post some sunrise/sunset picutres taken from the LANAI :)

  We stayed in the condo from 7/1 - 7/7. This was our 4th trip to Maui and we have stayed in the Kahana area on most visits. This condo was the best one we have stayed in yet. We had our two adult age kids with us and there was plenty of room. You just can beat the corner unit with the window views on both sides. The large wrap around lanai is great. Our favorite snorkling beach, Kapalua Bay, is only a short 2 miles away and the resorts and shopping are a short drive in the other direction. The condo complex has a nice pool and an area with several nice Weber gas grills for cooking dinner. The beach is nice for walking, okay for swimming but not the best place for snorkeling. The views of the sunsets and occassional rainbows over the water can not be beat anywhere. I will definitely try to stay in this condo again on a return trip.

  We arrived at Ron and Kathy's condo on the 8th of June and stayed until the 23rd. The check in went very well and we got into the condo quickly. When we opened the front door, we couldn't believe the glorious views from almost every room We unpacked and quickly settled in. It was wonderful going to sleep with our bedroom window open, listening to the sound of the waves breaking. How soothing it was. We exercised in the workout room almost every morning and what a great way to start our day. We went ZIP Lining and what a total thrill. We also went on a dinner cruise, went to a Magic Show, saw the Cirque at the Royal Ka'anapali and we took the 70 mile rafting trip around Lanai. The excursions were fabulous. The things we enjoyed the most were sitting on the wonderful balcony, reading our books, and enjoying a nice glass of wine, and the incredible views. Thanks Ron and Kathy for sharing your lovely home with us. We hope to return again in a year or so. Bob and Lynn Clayton

  We stayed in this condo for a week during Christmas. It was the best and most memorable Christmas ever!! This unit is so spacious, has everything you need and the views are amazing. The wraparound deck was our favorite spot, morning coffee watching the sunrise and a glass of wine and the sunset at night. We already are planning to go back every other year and staying at Ron & Kathy's. The beach chairs were a plus with all the beach toys. We never had to use the a/c. My sister & her family stayed in another condo on the same floor. Thank you so much for the wonderful memories

  Another great week spent in paradise! We love this condo and especially this unit.Ron and Kathy are great at communicating and working with you. The condo has the best view in West Maui. Everything you want or need is right there -view, ocean, beach, and spacious accommodations with comfortable furniture. I highly recommend this unit.

  Thanks for allowing us to stay in your place. We had a really good time in Maui. Your condo placement was amazing with the beach so close to the unit and the balconies providing such a wide view of the seascape. It was truly beautiful. Watching the sunset from the balcony was my favorite activity and it was beautiful. My kids loved this unit and said that the unit was the best beachfront condo they ever stayed in. We would surely rent the place if we come back to Maui in the future. Mahalo again!

  Kathy and Ron, We have just returned from our delightful vacation in Maui and want to tell you how much we enjoyed your condo. The views were exquisite and the location was great! The condo was spacious and clean; the beach was beautiful, but never crowded, and the sand was silky. We really loved everything about it, and we appreciated your book full of suggestions. We are beach people but also took advantage of the pool in the evenings. My 11 year old is sitting here and says "it was awesome!" We can't wait to go back!! Thanks for sharing it with us!

  Aloha,We have rented this condo twice now the last two years and absolutely love it the views are second to none. You could not get any closer to the water, we watched turtles morning and night and were lucky enough to see quite a few whales.It is an amazing spot in paradise.Mahalo,Kim

  What a terrific property and rental experience. The views were magnificent, and the accomodations outstanding. We were attracted to the property by the pictures, but they only provide a glimpse of the beautiful panorama. Kathy was a dream owner, and she assured that all of the arrangements were worry-free.   Hi Kathy, Your condo was wonderful! We would definitely recommend it to others or stay there again. Well and comfortably furnished and kitchen had all that you would need. Blender and coffee maker, are first items on our list of needs. As for the door key pad, LOVED IT!! The last condo we stayed in had it too and makes things much more convenient.   Oh, we've found paradise! What a wonderful place to feel right at home. What a beautiful view. We had such a wonderful time. Everything we needed (and more) was right in the condo. Being in a corner unit was awesome with so many windows and an extra large lanai. And having the wireless internet was great. We even Skyped our grandkids back in Oregon! Thank you so much for sharing your home away from home with us! Can't wait to come back!

  Wonderful location, we love the lanai with its veiw at sunset. The condo is very large and comfortable. The location is great, close to many great beaches for snorkeling and waves. A fantastic trip, we will stay here again when we return.

  Stayed there for 6 nights durign Aug-2009. This is the feedback we sent to the owners: Hello Kathy & Ron We had the best time in your condo, it really felt like home, clean, comfortable and lots of room . We would love to comeback ourselves and we would surely pass the ward about this great place to our friends. I greatly appriciate the efficiency you handled the AC problem, no wonder the place is in such good shape. We enjoyed the different extras you had for us in the condo such as the surfboards, beachchairs and the Hanna Road CD but most of all we loved being right there by the sea all the time and especially sitting looking at the beautifull sunsets. Our stay in your condo was our best time in Hawai and I would like to thank you for it. Mahalo, Yael and the Amid family

  Stayed at Royal Kahana #311 June 11th-20th, 2009. This unit is wonderful. The location can't be beat. Direct ocean front and poolside too. Georgeous sunsets! Fall asleep to the sound of waves washing up on the shore. In my opinion, West Maui is the best and Kahana is a great neighborhood. I highly recommend unit #311 for your stay. You won't be disappointed! Thanks again Ron & Kathy!

  The condo was great for our family of five. The views were as spectacular as advertised. Falling asleep to the sound of the waves was wonderful. Spacious and well equipped. Our kids enjoyed the pool, shuffle board and spotting whales from the lanai in particular. Kahana is a nice laid-back alternative to the hustle and bustle of Lahaina and Kaanapali. Easy to drive to those places, but nice to return to the pace of Kahana. We would definitely recommend this condo to families with kids.

  We found the condo to be very roomy and comfortable for our family of 5. The best feature is the huge wrap-around lanai with the incredible views of the nearby islands. We enjoyed spotting and watching the whales each day. Pool area was nice. Kathy was very helpful taking care of the details for our stay.

  Our stay at your condo from August 2 to August 13, 2008 was wonderful. The condo is beautiful, clean, and very comfortable. Thank you for the many extras (nice towels, boogie boards, beach chairs,snorkel, fins, and cooler). We loved having morning coffee on the beautiful lanai and viewing the amazing sunsets. The exterior is very clean with a great maintenance staff. We really enjoyed the pool and the beach too. Thank you and we hope to someday return to your beautiful condo and will tell all our friends and family about our wonderful stay. The Cross Family

  This condo was fantastic! This is our third visit to Maui but our first time staying in Kahana. The location was very convenient to lots of restaurants and great beaches & snorkel spots. The views from the lanai are everything the website says and more. We loved sitting out there for breakfast, cocktail hour, and dinner! We have 2 adults and two kids, age 9 and 12, and this condo felt very spacious for us. Tips: Snorkel in Turtle Bay just north of Napili Point resort - TONS of large sea turtles! Snorkeling was also great at Black Rock. If you like sushi Sansei in Kapalua is To Die For!

  We had a lovely time staying in your condo. I met my parents in Hawaii for vacation and spent 8 fabulous days in Maui. We stayed from April 22 to May 1 and were furtunate enough to still be able to see the whales migrating. We would sit on the lanai in the evening and just prior to sunset we would see the whales spouting and playing in the water. We did some snorkeling off the beach by the unit over towards the rocks and saw to gigantic sea turtles - amazing! Then we went to Black Rock at the Sheraton a few days and saw tons of beautiful fish and swam with another sea turtle. We ate out for late lunches most days and made that our big meal of the day. We loved the Aloha Mixed Plate - and the deli that you mentioned to us - the mahi mahi in lemon caper sauce was superb!. We had a great dinner at Leilani's in Whalers Village. We missed lunch that day so made the early bird specials :) You have certainly found little bit of paradise at your location. Thank you for providing us information on places to eat. We read the book at the condo that others had provided. One tip: the snoreling gear at Maui Dive shop was great - worth going up 1 from the basic - the snorkels were better than I ever used on a cruise ship excursion! From my parents and Tennessee and myself in Rochester - Mahalo! We hope to be back and will certainly recommend your unit to others!

  We stayed in your condo in March of 2008 over spring break. The view when we first walked into the condo was breathtaking! It was everything I had hoped for. We loved the condo so much it was hard to make ourselves leave to experience the other parts of Hawaii! Everything you need to make your stay enjoyable is included, even boogie boards! The washing machine was a big plus, too. It made packing so much easier knowing it was there. We especially liked the location, near Lahaina and Kapalua Beach, but not part of the busy Kaanapali scene. I can still hear the surf when I close my eyes, it was amazing to sleep hearing that great sound. We saw whales every day. Your place was perfect, and you were so helpful!   Condo was very comfortable and spacious with unbelievable views. Not only did we see whales off the lanai, but we were able to watch a group of dolphins jumping out of the water. Would stay in this unit again!

  This condo is a fabulous place to stay in Maui. It is spacious, well equipped and the views are excellent. It was not whale season while we were there, but so what? There was plenty to see from the expansive lanai. We saw more rainbows than we could count. The Halloween festival in Lahaina was great. We almost missed our luau because I lost track of time on the beach and in the sauna. Thank you for sharing with us!

  The condo exceeded our expectations. It was very comfortable and in a prime location; great view without feeling like you are too high over the ocean. The building was well-kept and the service was great. The owners were very responsive and we were very pleased with the entire rental experience.

  My family stayed for a week and we were all quite happy with the accomodations. Ron and Kathy made the booking process very easy and checking in and out was simple. The view of the afternoon sunsets from the lanai were unforgetable.

  My family (5 adults) stayed at Kathy and Ron's condo from July 6th to the 16th to celebrate our 30th anniversary. What a great time we had!! The condo was wonderful, just as described.   3 friends and I spent April 22 - 30 in the Royal Kahana Unit #311. What an amazing place this is! The unit was very clean, nicely furnished, and very open and bright. The wrap-around Lanai was perfect for morning coffee, reading a book and watching amazing sunsets. We even saw 2 whales playing off the shore while sitting on the lanai! Kathy and Ron have thought of everything. There are boogie boards, snorkeling masks and fins, beach chairs, large umbrella, a cooler, and beach towels. Everything you could possibly need for a day on the beach (which, by the way, is never crowded)! The condo has all the conveniences of home; fully equiped kitchen, dishwasher, microwave, washer and dryer, blow dryers in both bedrooms and very comfortable beds. We will be renting this unit next April for our family vacation! Thanks very much Kathy and Ron for sharing your paradise with us! Your place is a hidden gem!

  We've stayed at lots of nice condos in Hawaii and in the Caribbean, but Royal Kahana 311 in Maui is absolutely the best and our new favorite. Great views, roomy (open floor plan and 2 1/2 baths!), huge balcony facing the pool on one side and the ocean on both sides. The unit was very clean ... even the floors. And, the price makes it a real value. The option of having a cross breeze or air conditioning gave us flexibility and kept us comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked, and there were lots of towels and beach toys. Plenty of restaurants and shops are in easy walking distance and parking was plentiful. I can't imagine coming to Hawaii and not staying here. I can't wait to return. I almost forgot to add -- we love tennis, and, among other amenities, there are two lighted courts on Royal Kahana's property -- and they are free for RK guests to use. Nice!

  Our accomadations exceeded our expectations.We actually had to close our windows some nights because the wave action was so close and loud. The balcony was perfect for whale watching.We witnessed a baby humpback being born about 100 yards out from us. If we go back to Maui we will defenitly want to stay here agian.

  We are repeat Maui visitors, but this was our 1st stay at #311. We will definitely be back. We were 2 couples, so 2nd bedroom twins were made up into very comfortable king, giving this unit 2 master suites. There is no better place to watch the whales, we saw mom's with babies, battling males, & breeching for fun every day of our visit. And, the wrap around lanai and windows allowed us to watch from the dining, comfortable front room, or various areas outside. We always felt connected to the ocean and its sounds. The grounds were beautiful, the pool warm and very clean, and with 5 BBQs we never had to wait to cook up our fresh fish from the Got Fish Fish Market. Kathy & Ron ensured our stay was comfortable and went the extra mile by providing info on what to do and were to eat.

  We stayed in Ron and Kathy's condo for 10 days over the Christmas and New Year break. It was perfect. The lanai was perfect as it allowed us to watch our daughter down in the pool or watch out over gorgeous sunsets, surf, whales, boats..... The condo was very spacious and well equipped. Ron and Kathy even have a great supply of beach accessories and boogie boards for guest use. The room has very easy access to the elevator and stairs. The staff around the Royal Kahana are very pleasant. I would highly recommend this condo to anyone, but especially families as it is so spacious. Ron and Kathy were very efficient and professional to deal with. You won't be sorry to stay here, only sorry to leave.

  Aloha Guests of RK-311 Our Family of 4 were guests at #311 oceanfront Royal Kahana in December 2006. Our 2nd and absolutely excellent trip to Maui. This was our first and convenient experience booking a condo via VRBO. Our communications with the homeowners, Ron & Kathy was absolutely great and they shared their favorite activities, including snorkel gear (in the unit). The Condo is roomy and beautifully furnished. The bed comfort is what we are accustomed to at home. The amenities, location and view from the Lani with sunsets made it difficult to leave even for daily activities. Be sure to plan to snorkel at Black Rock adjacent to the Sheraton Hotel, as it is better than the Molikini trip! If going out for Breakfast, the Gazebo oceanfront restaurant included rainbows over Molokai. Much Mahalo to Ron & Kathy, John & Jane Bambace from the Sunshine State 5000 miles back east.
