What a great place to stay! Our group enjoyed your place so much and the neighbors are wonderful! We felt at home hear! This has a gorgeous view of the bay and a really neat boat dock to just sit out and relax in the deck chairs. We even had the best entertainment from the local animals and birds; especially Bob the Heron lol! Thank you so much for your hospitality Dauphin Island residents! Oh and just to let you know the best fishing day was the day before we left my friend Patty caught a 5 ft bullshark and we got the pictures to prove it!!! WHAT AN EXCELLENT ADVENTURE!!!

After a long summer of recovery and rebuilding from the April 27th tornado, our stay at Fish Haven was just what we needed. The location is so beautiful and peaceful and the sunsets were breathtaking. We left the house briefly only 2 times in 5 days. We spent all our time relaxing on the deck or fishing on the dock. We've been visiting the Alabama coast for over forty years, and this trip was our favorite by far. Dauphin Island is a very special place and its so great not to be surrounded by high rise condos. All our future trips to the coast will definitely be spent at Fish Haven. Thanks John for a perfect vacation!

Just returned from our 2nd visit to Fish Haven, celebrating our 28th wedding anniversary( Sept.15th - 18th 2011). Clean, comfortable, and so relaxing !! Dolphins put on a show for us, jumping in and out of the water. They must have known it was our anniversary!!! ( LOL ).Awesome sunsets, and house is perfectly situated for a beautiful view of the Dauphn Island bridge. Sitting on the deck, the dock, or in the house, looking out at the water, you just can't ask for anything better !! ( AND very nice neighbors )... See you again John, and thank you so much for sharing your house....

Our recent stay (Aug 6-10, 2011) was wonderful! The house is very nice and comfortable with all the necessities available. This was our first visit to Dauphin Island. We absolutely loved the views being situated directly on the water and sunsets were breathtaking. Although our fishing experience was not as successful as previous reviews, we did catch some interesting fish and a good number of crabs. The owner allowed for great communication and even stopped by during our visit to check on our needs. He went to town and bought a new crab trap for our use. Thanks John! We would highly recommend this house to anyone who wants to fish, relax and enjoy the water. Great experience!

Stayed 6-19/6-24. Kids (10 to 13) had a blast fishing from the dock. Caught many different kinds of fish from rays to sharks. Caught crabs with the traps provided. Ladder now allows swimming from dock. Owner checked to make sure there were no problems. Hope to come back.

My husband and I just returned home from staying at this vacation rental and I cant say enough good things about it, we LOVED IT! We caught between 80 and 100 various different types of fish just sitting on the dock! The house was just perfect for us and our small dogs. The beds were very comfortable and the house had everything we needed.The owners were very easy to work with and make staying here such an easy process. We look forward to coming back this summer and probably the fall too!

Rented for Memorial weekend. Had friends down to fish and cook out. Beautiful view! Great fun! Comfy house. Easy to find.

We stayed for a week in October 2009.It was great,beautiful sunsets,great fishing.We caught 150 white trout,9 flounder 2 sheep head ,1 bull red,lots of crabs.We just had a blast.The owner was very easy to work with.Great get away.Going back in 2010.

We visited the Island in June 2009 with great experiences. When you are setting at the table looking out over the water you feel like you are on a house boat with-out the movement of the boat! Yes the sunrise and sets are breathtaking.Took pictures of both,and the Dolphins were swimming out in the bay not to far away from the dock. Fished right of the dock and caught Whiting,Stingray,Blue Crabs,Stone Crabs,and two Eels. You can be walking on the beach in just a couple of minutes from this house. After you play the day away you can set in the cool comfy house and watch the HD TV direct satellite system. Dreamy!!!! Thanks for the Fun and always answering my emails. Thank you so much for our wonderful vacation!! We have been to Dauphin Island several times and this house was the best so far. The view across the sound is gorgeous and the dock was great for fishing and crabbing; we filled three coolers in five days. The house is just the right size for a family and the renter was extremely friendly and helpful. Highly recommended.

I have rented homes many times on the beach, in the mountains, on rivers and streams, but this is my favorite. The house is wonderful, better than described, and the views, dock, fishing, and boating access could not be better. There is plenty to see and do close by if you want, but a stay here is wonderful without the attractions. I will definitely stay here again and tell my friends. This is a place you will never forget!

My 2 sons and I stayed here in mid March, what a great vacation we had!! The boys fished from the pier while I observed from under the deck, out of the sun, pina colada in hand. My oldest son caught a 33" red fish and my youngest caught a stringray right off the deck! We could not believe the amount of crabs we brought up, the owner had set the traps before we got there. Adorable bungalow, light and airy interior. The view from this home, whether from the living room, the deck or the pier, is unbelieveably breath-taking, especially the sunsets. I will definitely be staying here again. Easy, no hassle check in and check out. Oh and the best part, the dolphins. Every single day we saw dolphins within 30 feet of the pier.
