This beautiful lodge-like home is a perfect mountain retreat in one of Sun Valley and Ketchum's most prestigious neighborhoods. Just minutes from downtown Ketchum,skiing on Sun Valley's Bald Mountain, the bike path, and the Wood River. This home sits on 12 acres of rustic sage and beautifully landscaped gardens and is surrounded by high hills that some would call mountains. The effect is to give the impression one is living in a national park. There is a large circular driveway and porte-co chere.
The large gracious, yet comfortable and cozy, living room has it all: an oversized rock fireplace with a mounted buffalo head, baby grand piano, full size pool table, game table, enclosed large screen TV, dining table for 12, bronze statues, custom furniture, high ceilings, and floor-to-ceiling glass doors leading out to an expansive patio and lush garden.
Off of this great room is the gourmet chef's kitchen that includes a large breakfast bar, two ovens (microwave included), grill, full size sub zero refrigerator, and separate full size sub zero freezer, trash compactor, two sinks, two dishwashers, ice machine, wine fridge, espresso machine, Kitchen Aid, All Clad pots and pans, Wusthov chef's knives, and English dishes.
The master bedroom has its own gas fireplace, king bed, built in TV, sitting area, and two exterior glass doors to patio and hot tub. The master bathroom has his and her sink areas, Jacuzzi tub, and large walk-in shower. Just off the bathroom is a very large custom walk-in closet. The second master guest bedroom is not as large as the first but still has two sinks, a queen bed, TV, sitting area, and lots of windows.
The other four bedrooms all have their own bathrooms. Two of them have TV's. Three of them have exterior doors to the back patio or front of the house. One bedroom has a bunk bed that sleeps three (the bottom is a double). Three of the bedrooms are off of the game room. This room has a new recumbent exercise bike, a few free weights and mats, a TV with sitting chairs, a drawing table, and a fold-up ping-pong table.
For those who need an office, we've got one with his and her built in desks, 2 phones, and a computer, printer, and fax machine.
This amazing custom home has a three-car garage, a basketball hoop, and plenty of space for kids to explore, ride their bike's, or hike the hills.
