“Survivor” appropriately named for its ability to withstand a devastating hurricane has all the comforts of home and more! With five bedrooms and three baths this luxurious beach retreat easily sleeps 14 or 15 in its 2,880 ft. of living space! Survivor is perfect for a quiet family vacation, multi-family trips, and even has enough room for the in-laws! J Survivor boasts a GREAT kitchen, plenty of space to relax, 2,000 ft. of enormous deck space, beautiful sunsets, and a large private beach to enjoy!
Survivor is located directly ON THE WATER! The calm and relaxing Mississippi Sound is only footsteps away from the back of the house and the more active Gulf of Mexico just several hundred feet or about one minute from the front of the house. You really get the best of both worlds with Survivor! The backyard beach is private and the Gulf beach is accessible with deeded access. Most prefer the backyard beach with its white sandy beaches, calm, cool, and shallow waters! It’s perfect for families with kids and is ideal for swimming and relaxing without having to worry about strong currents, waves, or rip tides. There is a small bait pond occasionally refreshed by the high tides ideal for catching bait! You can set up your chairs and umbrellas and not have to worry about hauling them in every night, it is private property remember! You can even beach a small boat or Jet Ski right in your own back yard! However if you are in the mood for more active water simply walk across the street to the Gulf side and boogie board, skim board, or body surf in the Gulf of Mexico’s mighty waves!
Survivor features a spacious living room with 12’ ceilings, flat screen TV, VCR/DVD, surround sound, stereo system, and gas fireplace serves as the perfect place to entertain large crowds, view the remarkable sunset, or simply relax with the family. Finding somewhere to sit and eat won’t be a problem in Survivor, there is a custom built dining table that seats ten and bar seats four! Renters love the kitchen! Our fully loaded kitchen houses coffee maker, toaster, blender, microwave, oven, flat surface stove, assorted pots and pans, silver wear, walk in pantry, dishwasher, plates, cups, and many more!
Five spacious bedrooms serve as the perfect place to for crash for the night and lounge about in the morning. Upstairs bedrooms are equipped with deluxe bedding, large walk in closets, TV, and plenty of space to blow up an airbed or set up a cot! The two master bedrooms have access to the upper deck perfect for watching the sunrise or set. Each upstairs bath has its own coffee maker, no need to worry about waking up anyone downstairs!!! Jack and Jill bathrooms connect the four bedrooms upstairs, with an exquisite Jacuzzi on one side!
2,000 sq. ft. of deck space encompasses the back of the house. The decks are partially shaded for relaxing and lounging and the other part is ideal for sunning, viewing sunsets, grilling out, and tanning. Partially shaded deck features a large outside dining table perfect for eating dinner outside. Back decks feature lounge chairs, fire pit, and gas grills!
Downstairs features a storage room perfect for storing sand toys and beach chairs, umbrellas, and ice chests. Ice machine located in the storage room, along with tiki torches, hammocks, and assorted beach toys! Outdoor shower located underneath the house ideal for washing off sandy feet! Boardwalk leads from outdoor shower to back stairs. Comfy wood swing is also located downstairs! Parking for cars under the shade of the house.
Dauphin Island, Al is the ideal vacation spot for those in search of a laid-back beach vacation! Dauphin Island is an extremely laid back, non-commercial town perfect for getting out of the city and building a family bond. The island has a few shops, small grocery store, gas stations, bakery, and several restaurants ranging from AMAZING seafood to island BBQ. For attractions, visit the Sea Lab, historic Fort Gaines, fish on the beach, of the piers, or even charter a deep sea trip, play a round of golf at the Isle Dauphine gulf-front course, go on a dauphin viewing tour, view birds, wildlife, and secluded beaches at the Audubon Sanctuary, and bike/run/walk on the island long bike trail! Visit the far west end, where a small fee will allow you to kayak, rent jet skis, jump on inflatable, play a round of volleyball, and enjoy a drink at the hut!
Gulf Shores, Orange Beach, and Fort Morgan are only a ferry ride away. From Fort Morgan, you can visit Pensacola. You will be 35 minutes from Mobile, Alabama, and a nice day trip to the Biloxi and Gulfport Casino's. This house is in the middle of the North Gulf Coast to access Alabama, Mississippi, and Florida.
