What a great place! The apartment was cozy and clean with the most comfortable bed ever. It had everything we needed and the location was a perfect base for exploring Seattle - lots of good restaurants close by. We especially liked using chopsticks at Boom and Elliot Bay Book Store was a favorite place to hang out. Nights were a little rowdy on the QFC Grocery side of the apartment but we were able to block out most of the noise by closing the windows and using a fan. We had a great time there and would definitely stay there again.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Sweet! Loved being 2 blocks from our daughter at Seattle U. And having a Thanksgiving dinner that couldn't be beat and watching the rain and going to Elliot Bay Bookstore and watching the rain and eating Pho at Boom and giving thanks for the rain!Did you find this review helpful? We loved this place-both the apartment and Seattle. Staying here let us walk everywhere, it's so convenient and quite lovely here. Don't expect the shops in Capitol Hill to be open early though, other than QFC supermarket. Great park beside the community college. Loved the Crab Pot and the rueban sandwich at Pike Market. Thanks to Johnny who was lovely sorting out parking for us. We'll be back!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We have stayed at the Paramount several times while visiting my daughter here in Seattle. This is so much nicer having a kitchen and room to roam around. Johnny was great. Very welcoming and helpful. The place was also clean and had everything we needed. We love the crumpet store on Pike and 1st and also Volunteer Park Cafe-the best food ever. We had two good days of sunny weather. Thanks for everything!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Excellent accommodation. Clean and comfortable. Thanks Johnny for letting us get in early - much appreciated. Great location. We walked everywhere and saw most of the main sights of this beautiful city. Highlights: Lock tour, really worthwhile; Space Needle and Music exhibit. Bonus: Starbucks Modeo frappacino every day.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We spent three nights here in July and everything was fantastic! It's about a 15-minute walk to downtown and 25 minutes to the Space Needle. The apartment was clean and bigger than I expected. The bathroom was completely redone recently and looks great! The lighting can be kind of weird though. There is a window in the bedroom closet with no curtains and no closet door. It's plenty dark at night but it could be a problem if you want to sleep late. And why do the windows in the kitchen open into the building's hallway? That's not really a complaint -- I just thought it was strange. Overall, great place at a great value.Recommended for: Tourists without a car, romantic getaway, sightseeing.

My wife and I had a great stay in #300. We stayed in the Hyatt Olive 8 for a few nights and moved up the hill for the extended weekend. Great restaurants along Broadway and easy access to the QFC for groceries. Loved the abundance of Zipcars - a great way to minimize rental car cost for quick trips to other parts of town. #300 was perfect-clean, well stocked and comfortable. Can't wait to come back!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My husband and I had a wonderful time at St. John's #300. We came to Seattle for the 77th Annual meeting for the American Association of Nurse Anesthetists. It was a quick walk to the Convention center. We loved the patio and BBQ grill while enjoying the lovely weather. We ate all our meals at St. John's and enjoyed every bite of the local fish, meats, veggies and fruits. Not to mention Beecher's flagship cheese and local wines! Loved the movies and CD's in the apt. Overall a great stay!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Found the place on home away when looking to stay in a neighborhood and have a kitchen. We love the location and charm of the space! Highly recommend Elliott Bay Books around the corner and hoping on buses just to see where they will take you. We rented a car around the corner at Enterprise (pricey) for the day to see part of the Olympic Forest. Unit was much larger than anticipated from pictures with both chairs so comfy to curly up in with a book. What a great getaway from the heat of AZ!Did you find this review helpful? Thanks Johnny for accommodating our late night check in! Our stay in Seattle was great. We saw a lot of Seattle stuff plus Mt. Rainier and LaConner/Anachortes. We also walked and used light rail / bus / monorail except for out of town trips. Apt 300 was great-clean and a good location for base of operations. Capitol Hill Area is interesting to say the least.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

My wife and I stayed at St John's apartments for three nights recently while on vacation. Johnny, the apartment manager was great. We considered the apartment building to be in the perfect location for exploring the downtown area. While the building is a older building, we found the apartment to be quiet, clean and spacious. The grocery store was across the street if you wanted to get food. The Thai resturant adjacent to the apartment is quite good too.Recommended for: Adventure seekers, tourists without a car, sightseeing.

We loved apt. #300 here and loved our first trip to Seattle. The Honey Hole right next door is Fabulous;-the best garlic cheesebread in the world! We saw all the sights with the kids using the City Pass. And Molly Moon's funky-flavored ice creams! Wow. We walked everywhere except for taking the monorail out to the Space Needle. The Music Project museum is awesome. Thanks Mark and Oda, (the owners) we love your place!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We enjoyed staying in 300. What we really enjoyed was sinking down into the two big easy chairs and putting our feet up at the end of a long day of sightseeing. Loved the Capital Hill location. The market across the street was a boon. Everything in the apt was just right when we arrived and Johnny was very helpful getting us oriented. P.S. Enjoyed the artwork in the apartment. Normally in places one stays when traveling, the art fades into the background. Nice to have something to look at!Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We really enjoyed our first visit to Seattle, before our Alaska cruise. Loved the apartment. What a great location! Johnny was fantastic. We took the Gray line hop on and off bus ticket, $21 good for 2 days! Also ferry to Bainbridge. What a fabulous city with so much to see and do. The bus 49 up the hills stops one block away. This place was so much bigger and better than a hotel we will definitely return.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

What a wonderful place to stay! It is spotless and welcoming. Each day as we returned from our excursions, our "home" greeted us. Everything needed is here. If there is anything you want/need Johnny is more than happy to help. As for Seattle-wow! Such a place we've never been. When anyone found we were from Ohio the greeted us with "Welcome to Seattle!" The tourism lady at the Convention Center was extremely helpful. Best food for us-Cutter's (especially the salmon chowder.)Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Had a lovely first visit to Seattle. Arrived to the expected cloud and intermittent rain, but the clouds blew away and delivered three solid days of glorious sunshine. The green leaves and blossoms were a pure hit of glory and joy! Did the tourist tour and did our best to pace ourselves and stick to two lattes per day. Highlight of the trip was a day outing to San Juan Island. We drove to Anacortes and took the ferry. It was blissful to sit outside and glide by the islands.Did you find this review helpful? Found this apartment on Home Away. It was a scary thing not knowing the owners, but Johnny was great. He was in contact with us by e-mail and phone which really made me feel like it was going to be a good rental. P.S. We ate at Salty's and Etta's. Yummy food and Views.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Wow! What a wonderful find. We came for a getaway vacation to celebrate our 16th anniversary and our daughters sixth birthday. Having lunch at the Space Needle was an amazing time. Even though it was raining we loved the view. We also loved the Pike Place Market and the Pacific Science Museum. This place was just the Oasis we needed to rest our bodies and restore our souls. Thank you so much for the great hospitality. We would love to come back to Seattle again and stay here at the St. John's. Sp much we missed. We had to save something to make us come back. We will always treasure the memories from this trip. We hope to return.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We had a great time during our first trip to Seattle We agree with Meghan and Dan (previous review) that Molly Moon's Ice Cream is quite tasty. FYI: $5 day bus pass-buy a round trip ticket in Westlake Station of the tunnel to Tukwila. This works as an all day pass for the buses, light rail and water taxi (need $1 extra each way w/the pass for the water taxi). We took the buses everywhere, including Woodland Park Zoo and Ballard Locks-both recommended. Also go to Red Mill Burgers by the Zoo on 67th. Buses 10 and 49 are your friend back up Pike St, so you don't have to walk from downtown. Lastly, don't miss Cupcake Royale (East on Pike) and 3 Girls Bakery @ Pikes Place Market for Desserts.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 4/4

This apartment was wonderful! Very clean and cozy, we felt right at home and hope to return. Easy to wander around the city from here. We would recommend drinks at Bleu on Broadway! Cozy little booths with curtains, cool atmosphere. The QFC on the corner has everything so you can save some money and cook in some mornings/nights. If you find Molly Moon's Ice Cream (behind the field with mountain fountain) it is well worth the wait.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 2/2

Apt. 300 is wonderful. Good Thai food just downstairs, great to have groceries easily accessible, nice record stores nearby, more restaurants, etc. Came for a wedding and everything worked our great. If we ever return to Seattle we'll definitely stay here again. Saw a Mariners game. Nice Stadium. Too bad the Yankees won (much to the delight of my NY family.) Go Mariners! Johnny was great! P.S. The two chairs in the living room combined for a great bed for our two year old daughter.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

We had a fantastic time during our stay in Seattle. We loved the apartment. It was great to feel at home and cook some of our meals. Highlights: Solstice Day Parade and Celebration on Fremont Street. Wow. Happy Hour at Barrio, wine, pizza and salad at the Italian Restaurant just a couple blocks up Pike. Cheese tasting at Beecher's and Happy hour at Maximilian's at Pike Place market right on the harbor. Three days to take in all Seattle has to offer. Loved the neighborhoods of Capitol Hill, Fremont and Wallingford. The food was good, the music was fantastic (check out the clarinet player on the corner), and the people were friendly. Will be moving here this summer to go to grad school at UW. Campus is beautiful-check it out! Can't wait to come back. St. John's was a great place to stay. It has everything you need plus a fantastic location. We appreciate the great manager, Johnny. *Don't miss Chilles Paste Thai food in Fremont on 36th.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0

Thanks for letting us stay in your apartment complex. Virginia and I really enjoyed the apartment and couldn't have been happier. Everything was really great and we appreciate both of you (Mark and Johnny) being so friendly. The accomodations were terrific and were far more than either of us had planned on. The place is really nicely decorated and we enjoyed all of the original artwork. We cooked several meals there and appreciated having the condiments and all of the pots, pans and other items that made the place feel a little more like home. Thanks again for mailing us the slippers that we left. We can't say enough great things about your place. You can let future guests know that we didn't rent a car and were able to look up bus routes online and the apartment is within easy walking distance to several stops. This was a very easy and inexpensive way to get around. Also, there is a bus company that has a trip to Mt Rainer that leaves from a hotel just down the hill.Did you find this review helpful? Loved the apartment. It lived up to ALL the descriptive words used in the ad and then SOME.It was extremely clean and comfortable, so I felt very safe in the big city. Loved the BIG bed, the tub, the paintings on the wall, the music CDs and all the little touches. Enjoyed the grocery across the street, the restaurant and hair salon below, the personal communications with the owner and the manager, and the GREAT location. I especially enjoyed walking 20 minutes to downtown Seattle for shopping and movies. I was so happy to find this place and definitely hope to stay there again. -Jo Ann Quincey , Gainesville,FloridaDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 0/0
