Lilac Place can be rented as an entire house or separated into 2 apartments with communal combination lock entrance. Each apartment has a full kitchen and bath. Off-street parking for 2 autos. Unlimited digital phone calls in the USA. Basic high speed wireless internet and basic digital TV

Upon arrive your wonderful, affordable Maine dream vacation will also include a stock of tea, coffee, milk, cream, butter, English muffins & cereal. Also our vey special pure vegetable glycerin soap and our famous Nan's Crans.

One block to Wymans general store carrying for basic groceries, wines, fresh/frozen seafood, gourmet coffees, hot & cold sandwiches, pizzas and more. Just Barb's is within walking distance (1 mile) for breakfast, lunch & dinner. Good food in a very friendly & clean family Maine restaurant. I'll also happily advise you of wondrous clean and tasty restaurants for the very best in Maine dining from the locals to the 4 stars. We have it all - we just aren't a night club atmosphere - but definitely are an Eco atmosphere.

Lilac Place is centered on upper Penobscot Bay in historic Stockton Springs with easy access to Bangor for the airport, malls & the Hollywood slots, or to Searsport (deep water seaport 1 of only 3) or to the wondrous towns of Waldo County. Winterport is "just up the street " with an award winning winery. We are 6 miles from the Original Fort Knox and its beautiful campus that also is home to the tallest observation tower in the Western Hemisphere - Penobscot Narrows Bridge & Observatory " On a clear day you can see forever" and from the Penobscot Marine Museum the oldest in Maine with a campus of 12 buildings, most on the National Register. Penobscot Bay is considered one of the top ten sailing bays in the world. We'll set you up with Captain Roy or Captain Melissa. Or, if rug hooking is your hook we've got the best in the U.S.A. just 3 miles from here.

We are less than an hour to Acadia National Park - Bar Harbor - (whale watches)- Camden - (tall ship windjammers) . Minutes to Searsport (antique capitol of Me.) Sears Island, flea markets, marine museum; great book stores; Toziers family market, restaurants. Minutes to Belfast, the Waldo County General hospital, shopping district, quaint movie theatre, restaurants, art galleries, funky & cool places, sailing and lots to do.

The Trillium is the largest apartment - Second floor - approximately 1100 Square Foot with 2 full bedrooms, and a child's bedroom, plus a very comfortable queen sleeper-sofa.

The Columbine is the First floor 1 bedroom ( double bed) apartment approximately 713 Square Feet.

Both apartments are charmingly decorated - and have just been totally remodeled.

Easy access to some of the best yet least expensive restaurants, serving wondrous seafood and to many Parks such as Fort Point Light House complete with the moat that protected them, the Light House itself and then the Original Fort Knox where a shot was never fired and now the Penobscot Narrows Bridge and Observatory the only kind in this world. While the bridge is similar to one in Boston - it has its differences - first in architecture and while the Observatory is similar to one in Thailad it is also different. Visit Sears Island - the largest uninhabited island on the east cost for wading, hiking, shelling, musseling, claming, sea glass & star fish finding - hike it - bike it - whatever - it is free access .

This is antiquing country, plus unique book stores and galleries of all kinds and ship watching or , schooner, sail boat experiences..

Quiet and the scenery is magnificent. Starting in May straight through October - you'll find magnificent roadside color in lupins, aster's, wild roses, fall foliage and it is the country of the Pointed Pines, the paperbark birches,winterberries and so much more!

  • Lilac Place can be rented as a whole house or as 2 separate apartments. Trillium apartment is 1100 square feet +/- and Columbine is 713 square feet +/-. Stair elevator to Trillium. Near the tallest observation tower in the Western Hemisphere -Penobscot Narrows Observatory on the original Fort Knox campus and near the largest uninhabited island on the East Coast, with free auto access.
