Our family experienced a wonderful vacation this past August at the "Lake House". Everything was just as we expected and the house was so comfortable it seemed we were all at home. It fit well for all of us, 5 adults, 1 teenager and 2 preschoolers. Our favorite part was the dock just across from the house and being able to walk down and jump in the lake and enjoy, or taking the boat out anytime and not having to drive forever to get to a marina. Our whole week spent at the Lake House was the most relaxing one we have had. The grandsons thought we had bought a new house and didn't want to leave and go back to the old one. Can't tell you how many memories we all brought back with us after this trip. We will definately be coming back to Norris. Thanks for sharing your beautiful home.
Owner response:Leta, We are so glad you enjoyed yourselves and we do our best to keep our home as well-stocked and pristine as Norris lake. LOL regarding your grandsons! Let's hope they will have enough good memories of the Lake House to share with their grandchildren.

WOW!!! The best vacation we have had in a while. The house was awesome. We had 12 people and never felt like we were crowded. The layout made everyone feel like they had their own space. We hauled a 24 foot pontoon boat and had plenty of room for the trailer and cars. The kitchen was huge and plenty of room to cook for 12 people. The marina is very close and that was great with the boat. We went to the marinas Fire on the Water on Friday night and the wings were great. The dock was great especially after a long day on the lake we could just let the kids swim off of it. Ginger is great to deal with and is always fast to respond to any questions or concerns. I would definitely recommend. We will be back next year.
Owner response:Randy, We are so glad you and your family had a great time at the Lake House. We feel blessed to have found an awesome home in a quiet neighborhood with such a pristine lake! Until we retire, we will continue to share it with great renters like you. Thank you for being a good renter and helping us take good care of our place. We look forward to your return visit and are already getting bookings for the summer of 2012!

What a great time we had! We came up from Jacksonville Fl, and had my brother and sisters and their kids from Knoxville as well as my wife's parents from Phoenix stay with us. The house was a perfect place for a family vacation. It is bigger than it appears on this site so we didn't trip over each other all week. The kitchen is huge and we put the new double ovens to good use every day. There is lot's of room outside as well and some even chose to sleep in tents down by the lake instead of in a snuggly bed. The dock is big and was the perfect place for swimming and boating, the water is about 8 ft deep off the dock and the water is cool and clean. There's nothing like a 6 AM swim when the fog is still on the water. We will be coming back!
Owner response:We are happy that your family, and extended family had a wonderful time using our house on Norris Lake. It is one of the best lakes in our part of the country. We try to provide each of our guests with a clean and well stocked place for them to enjoy, and will do our best to assure each of our family groups an enjoyable experience.

2011 Family Vacation at the Lake

What a great week! We just got back from our vacation at the lake and already want to go back! This house was perfect for all of our needs. We have rented houses at the beach in the past, and always had to bring towels, sheets, paper products, etc., so it was really nice to not have to bring all of these things with us. The house was very comfortable, laid out well, and fit our group of eight nicely. We rented boats almost every day from Sequoyah Marina, and I can't say enough about the service there - they were fabulous! We were able to go tubing, wakeboarding, or just explore the lake, then come back to the dock and eat lunch - then go out again! The water is so clear and the lake is so clean. It was a wonderful week and one we will remember for a long time!
Owner response:Dave, Thank you so much for taking time to share your experience at the Lake House with us. It surprises me to learn that other houses you have rented don't furnish the necessities like toilet paper, paper towels, soap, towels & sheets! I would never think to take those items with me to a hotel; so, except for beach towels, we do furnish them for our guests! I agree Sequoyah Marina is convenient and fabulous. Since we do not own a boat of our own, we also rent our water "toys" from them. I hope you did not miss their Friday night Wings & Coronas. The wings are tasty and the beer is COLD. We find it a good way to start the weekends. If you come to our area again, we hope you will think of staying with us. Ginger

We have been traveling to another lake for 11 years but decided to try Norris Lake this year for the convenience of travel location for our now adult children. Norris Lake was WONDERFUL! We are a boating family and everyone does a little of everything....slaloming, wakeboarding, wakeskating, wakesurfing, barefooting....We were always able to find smooth water when needed and everyone ranked it as the best lake we have skied on! Loved that you could find deserted quiet coves and smooth water, yet also have the ability to boat to lunch/dinner at one of the numerous marinas. And then for the house.....Steve and Ginger have made everything so perfect! The kitchen was FULLY equipped with everything we needed and more. Loved the huge family room where we could gather comfortably. The beds all had great mattresses and everyone slept well....which after full days on the lake and sore muscles is important! :-) They even have thought of details all the way down to air freshener spray in the bathrooms! The dock was newer and well maintained. The ONLY improvement that would make the property better is to eventually cover the dock and have a place to store/lock things that you don't want to keep on the boat overnight. Steve and Ginger.....thanks for a fantastic family vacation and sharing your "slice of heaven". We definitely hope to be returning customers!
Owner response:Thank you for takining the time to post a review about your trip to the Lake House on Norris. We do try to make things comfy for our guests and appreciate people like you that help us take good care of it. What a wonderful suggestion to add a storage locker of some kind to help with boating gear. I agree it is a bit cumbersome to figure out what to do with all your "toys" short of putting them in your truck or vehicle to keep them safe. We did try a storage unit on the dock but the wind blew the top off of it during a storm... and locking it is now history! And, well, a covered dock is still on our WISH list. We are so happy to have hosted you and look forward to your return. Ginger

We had a great time at your Norris lake house. As others have mentioned it was very easy to get to and close to town to pick up things. The house has a lot of room and very clean with all the comforts of home. The kitchen had more than enough room for all the food we brought down and it was nice to have all the hooks in the entry way to hang up all our towels and beach bags. It was a plus to have our own boat dock to swim and fish off of. We rented a boat from the Marina and everyone enjoyed skiing, tubing and evening cruises. This is definately a great place to go for a lake vacation.
Owner response:We continue to improve our property to meet and exceed the expectations of our guests. In January 2011, we added a new convection/ self-cleaning double oven. This year's hospitality basket will contain more goodies our guests can enjoy during their visit to the Lake House, or take home with them as a reminder of their visit. We review all the comments made in our guest book at the house and cherish the memories our guests share with us and other guests. 2011 will be another wonderful year to rekindle your bond with our beautiful Norris lake and the natural surroundings of Andersonville. Enjoy your visit. Ginger & Steve

This property was easily located, beautiful view of the lake. The marina was close by, as well as a short trip to town for groceries. It felt like " home". The women were in awe of the capacity of the refrigerator/freezer. It kept everything nice and cold. The large sectional sofa allowed several to watch movies together comfortably. The owners made sure we felt welcome and had everything we needed for a wonderful family vacation. Thank you again.
Owner response:We had to make some repairs over this past winter due to the abnormal amount of snow and cold we got in December and January. It gave us the opportunity to cover the patio properly and replace the refrigerator. My husband spots great sales and I was THRILLED when Sears put that model on sale at 50% off. Had it not been such a bargin, it would not have been so nice. We are happy you enjoyed yourself and glad you selected our property for your visit. We hope you will come again soon.

We thoroughly enjoyed hosting your Pig Roast to celebrate Labor Day and to kick off the Grand Opening of the Lake House on Norris in Andersonville, TN, formerly the Hart House. The gracious Southern hospitality provided by Richard for providing the pig and the smoker is one of the reasons why we are proud to be the new owners of the Lake House. We enjoyed hosting your group for the BBQ,the bonfires, the fishing, friendship, and the football game on the 65" High Definition TV that UT WON kicking off the 2009 season. Go VOLS! We hope to see you return to use this property again and enjoy the beauty and serenity Norris Lake has to offer. Regards, Ginger Bradford
