  Unfortunately, my family and I were not able to stay at this house because my husband was not able to get that week off, after we thought he could. We contacted Steve right away. He was very willing to help, and within weeks , he had it re-rented for us. He was very willing to help and didn't act like I was a bother to him. He could have very easily took our deposit and ran, but he did not. He was able to refund our whole deposit!! We are saddened that we are not able to stay in this house this year, but we are definitely going to try for next year. Wonderful to work with, will not hesitate to deal with him again.

  Owner response: Amy, I'm sorry you couldn't make it this year. We do have a no refund policy, but I will try to re-rent it if I can, and if I do, then I refund your money. I treat people the way I'd want to be treated.

  I have rented beach properties for over 15 yrs and i am a thorough comparison shopper. I have probably looked at every 3-4 bedroom property on the island. Breath of fresh Aire and amazing grace are great values. For the location, space,amenities these are the best for your money. I just booked for this July and the process was quick and easy. I contacted the owner by email and within 48 hours I had a signed rental agreement, entry instruction and directions. All done electronically using docusign via email. I am excited at the thought of turning left off the bridge and heading right to the property. No more heading to the realty office with the masses to find a parking spot and waiting in line for keys. July cannot come soon enough!

  Owner response: Thanks Colleen. We try to make the booking as easy as possible. We do use Docusign so that you can electronically sign the rental agreement and get a signed copy quickly. We can also accept credit cards through PayPal.

  This was the best beach vacation we've ever had! The beach is beautiful. The owner was great to deal with. Our three-legged dog had a terrific time walking the beach and swimming between sand bars! Lots of nice shells! A mama Loggerhead sea turtle laid her eggs in front of Breath of Fresh Aire and we got to watch turtle patrol move the nest! What a fantastic experience of a lifetime. We can't wait to stay again!

  We had a wonderful time at this absolutely "oceanfront" duplex. It was clean, convenient, and located on a beautiful part of the beach. We went fishing, lounged by the ocean, and ate out...all very relaxing. Our little white schnauzer ran in the waves and gives it a 4 paws up!!! We hope to visit again soon!

  We could not have asked for a better place for short a stay. The house was clean and best of all right on the beach. Steve was wonderful to deal with and promptly responded to any questions. Being pet friendly was at the top of our list and this beautiful home is truly perfect for those who travel with their four legged friends. We had 3 days of absolute bliss and wonderful dining at local eateries. My wife and I can't wait to return. Thanks Steve.

  Our family rented this property last year for our family vacation. We were attracted to the area because it is so quiet and peaceful. This property had everything that we were looking for and more. They are not kidding when they say beachfront! Everything was clean and well maintained. My family loved having the beach so close and the deck was always a great place for a break from the sun. Our Australian Shepard loved her first trip to the beach too. We have already rented it again for the upcoming summer. The owners have been very easy to work with and called us after our arrival to make sure everything was ok. If you are looking for a peaceful family vacation,,,A Breath of Fresh Aire may be the perfect choice for you too.

  Wonderful location on the beach. Owner is a great host. Tha house house very comfortable with a great deck. We have been there several times and always a good time had by all !

  I'm 55 years old and have been staying in Breath of Fresh Aire off and on since 2002. Sometimes we have rented both sides of the large house, enabling us to have 6 bedrooms, sometimes not. I am well traveled, having visited beaches in Europe, Dominican Republic, Venezuela, Florida, Cape Cod. Grew up on the wide beaches in NJ, Beach Haven (near Atlantic City), and Seaside Heights, long before they were crowded beaches. The surf on Topsail is reminiscent of the NJ surf - sometimes lovely 5 - 6 foot waves, and generally a peaceful, easily swum surf. Breath of Fresh Aire is simply a marvelous beach experience. The owner is easy to deal with, the water is so close to the oceanside deck (due to the house being in front of the dune), the beach is wide (complete with pelicans and dolphin sightings sometimes daily!), the restaurants are lovely - seafood is fabulously fresh. Great family atmosphere, great amenities, very quiet, low commercialism (glad to escape the constant vendors on and near the beach!) Of all the beaches I've travelled to, this Topsail experience is my favorite, I've returned with my family and friends going on 7 years now and it's better all the time.

  Owner response: Barb - you are always welcome!! She leaves the house in a better condition than when she came. She often comes in a group that rents both sides of the house and Answer to Prayer, a house I help my friend rent about 1/2 mile down the beach. What a great time she has.

  What a spectacular view and a great time. The home is very cozy and idealy located between the North Top Sail Pier and town. Even with the chilly weather we were able to catch some rays and relax. My greatest moment was seeing a whale off the pier, what a magnificant site.

  Owner response: Hi Lilly - I'm glad you had such a great time. Thanks for the picture of the whale breeching the surface! He must have been feeding on the shrimp that live along the ledge about 1/4 mi off shore. Maybe he/she was just waving hi to you.
