Great York Beach Vacation

We had a really great York Beach vacation staying at this lovely property. The house was in excellent condition when we arrived, very clean and well equipped. Two of our children shared the bedroom and lounge area over the garage. This is a great self contained space with a 2 queen bedroom and an airy spacious lounge area with the option for sleeping a further guest. The 3rd floor gathering area is a fabulous asset - wonderful views, card table, sofas, pool table, bar, bathroom and plenty of deck space. We finished every day looking out over the Atlantic with the lighthouse glowing in the dark. Its a short walk to Browns Ice Cream, Sohier Park and Fox's restaurant - we tried all of these and recommend them all. About a mile to the beaches and center of York beach. An easy walk or bike ride - but if you have a lot of beach gear take the car and park near Short Beach. Good Chinese take out from Green Leaves on Route 1 and we'd also recommend Rubys as good value with friendly service (thin crust pizza their specialty) We had a tremendous time and the property made a great base for exploration and somewhere nice to come home to each day.
Recommended for:Tourists without a car, girls getaway, families with young children, families with teenagers.
