Enjoy a gorgeous view of the emerald-hued waters of the Gulf of Mexico from the patio and living areas of our beautifully decorated gulf-front condominium without the hassle of climbing stairs, waiting on elevators, or tedious walks to get to the beach. It is rare to have such an incredible, unobstructed ocean view from a ground floor condo. From the large patio and manicured, landscaped lawn it's only a few steps to our private beach access and the Gulf's sugary white sand and crystalline waters. Beach service (including 2 chairs and umbrella) are provided at no additional charge from March through October (this could cost as much as $27/day at other locations). Or step out the front door and enjoy the 3,000 square foot tropically landscaped and seasonally heated pool and spa, barbeque and picnic area, and fitness room.
The master suite includes a king-size bed, entertainment center with flat-screen TV and DVD player, and a full bath. A cute and cozy bunk-room, with its own full bath, was just redecorated and is perfect for two of the younger members of your group. A new queen-size sofa sleeper is available to accommodate additional guests.
You'll love the bright colors and tropical feel of the living, dining, and kitchen areas (all with incredible ocean views). Quality furnishings, ceramic tile throughout (except bedrooms), 9 1/2 foot ceilings, new living room 42" flat screen television with cable service and DVD player, AM/FM/CD stereo system, complimentary high-speed internet, and free movie rentals will provide you with the perfect environment for your beach getaway. Beach Retreat is a lovely 44-unit mid-rise complex built in 2003 and conveniently located on the quieter section of Scenic Gulf Drive, away from the congested high-rise resorts but near all the Destin area's major attractions, activities and shopping. The large sidewalks along the shore are great for long walks and bike rides. The upscale Destin Commons Mall and Silver Sands Outlet (one of the largest outlet malls in the nation) are both only two miles away. Water sports including parasailing, jet skiing, kayaking and surfing are right at the beach. The Track, Big Kahuna's Water Park and other amusement attractions are just 4 miles to the west and another mile further west you will find Destin Harbor where you can enjoy a dolphin cruise or deep sea fishing.
The Destin area also offers fabulous restaurant choices and two of the best are within walking distance of our condo at Pompano Joe's and Captain Dave's, both right on the gulf.

Why the Owner Chose Beach Retreat
From the moment we saw the incredible ocean view from the living room, we knew this condo was what we were looking for. It is very unique to have such an incredible ocean view from a ground floor unit. There is nothing like watching dolphins at play in the beautiful emerald green water as you enjoy a drink on the patio. The private beach access is just a few steps across the lush lawn and the pool is so beautiful and relaxing it is sometimes difficult to decide which to go to first. The barbeque area and fitness room just add to the pleasure of spending time here. Beach Retreat is centrally located near all the area's attractions but away from the congestion of the high rise condos. Because we come here often ourselves we keep the beautiful custom designed interior in tip-top condition. We love it here and want our guests to love it also.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo
There are so any things to see and enjoy in Destin that we cannot possibly list them all but these are some of our favorites. We love Gulf-coast seafood and Pompano Joe's is a great place to get it. It is right on the water and walking distance from our condo. Captain Dave's and The Crab Trap are also nearby and very good. You cannot believe the sugar-white sand of the beach until you see it for yourself and the emerald green ocean makes for an incredible day of fun. Our grand-daughters love playing in the ocean, searching for shells, and building sand castles. The 3,000 s.f lagoon pool is a treat when you've had enough salt-water and sand and the spa is great for winding down in the evenings. There are great wide sidewalks along the shore just made for long walks, jogging, or bike riding. They go for miles. You can rent bikes or fun 3-wheeled mini-cars nearby. After a long, fun-filled day we love to sit on the patio and watch the ocean and gorgeous sunsets.

We live in Texas but have always loved the Florida Gulf Coast beaches. We discovered Destin on a vacation trip about 15 years ago and fell in love with the area. We purchased our second home at Beach Retreat in 2007 and spend as much time here as we can, often bringing our young grand-daughters who love the beach as much as we do.

My parents, my husband and I and our two kids stayed in this condo. We fell in love the moment we walked in. It is decorated very nicely and the view is wonerful. It slept us 6 comfortably. Although I was hesitant about having to cross the street to get to the beach it was not bad at all. The people always stopped to let you cross and It is within walking distant of a couple of restaurants. ( I highly recommend Pompano Joes). Our overall stay was fantastic and I would recommend this condo to anyone who wants to be close to beach without having to pay sky rocket prices. I would like to thank Maury and Nelda so much for sharing their condo with our family. It was truly a blessing. We will be returning again in the future.

What a great introduction to Destin. Thanks for sharing your home with my family. My boys absolutely loved it. I've been to quite a few beaches and Destin by far is my favorite. We are already planning our next trip. I wish your place was bigger as I have other famiy members who want to go. Maybe the next time we go as a family we can get your condo again. You are right, it was perfect being on the first level. My boys loved the patio and the easy access to the beach.

At the last minute, my daughter and I made reservations & drove down for a much needed break. We loved watching the dolphins while eating breakfast outside. The condo was so comfy and cozy & nicely decorated. Best deal was the 29 cent gumbo at The Crab Trap. Loved the beach, pool & shopping.

We came to Destin last year for the first time (our sons are 11 and 13) and think the beaches are as beautiful as any beach in the Carribbean! Your condo was perfect for our family. Our favorite part was the excellent beach access! We all loved being steps from the beach entrance! The weather was perfect while we were here - sunny and hot - as Florida should be in July! Had a wonderful time at Destin this year. This is the third time we have stayed at Beach Retreat and think it is excellent.....great pool, nice roomy clean condos, great location, and across-the-street bargain prices. This was the first time my foster grandson (age 15) has ever seen the ocean or ever been out of the state of Ohio!!! Those two weeks will be lifelong memories for him. THANX so much for the rental.

We spent a wonderful Spring Break with our children here, in your cute beach condo. We were impressed from the moment we walked in. We had everything we needed and definitely felt the tropical get-away from your decor. It was so convenient to just be able to open up the patio door and walk across to the beach everyday.
