Enjoy a gorgeous view of the emerald-hued waters of the Gulf of Mexico from the patio and living areas of our beautifully decorated gulf-front condominium without the hassle of climbing stairs, waiting on elevators, or tedious walks to get to the beach. It is rare to have such an incredible, unobstructed ocean view from a ground floor condo. From the large patio and manicured, landscaped lawn it's only a few steps to our semi-private beach access to the Gulf's sugary white sand and crystalline waters. Beach service (including 2 chairs and umbrella) are provided at no additional charge from March through October (this could cost as much as $25/day at other locations). Or step out the front door and enjoy the 3,000 square foot tropically landscaped and seasonally heated pool and spa, barbeque and picnic area, and fitness room.
Our condominium, "As Tide Goes By", is decorated in an upscale Caribbean/beach style. The master suite includes a king-size bed, entertainment center with flat-screen TV and DVD player, and a private full bath. A cute and cozy bunk-room, with its own private bath with walk-in shower, was just redecorated and is perfect for two of the younger members of your group. A queen-size sofa sleeper is available to accommodate additional guests.
You'll love the bright colors and tropical feel of the living, dining, and kitchen areas (all with incredible ocean views). Quality furnishings, ceramic tile throughout (except bedrooms), 9 1/2 foot ceilings, two TV's with cable service and DVD players, AM/FM/CD stereo system , and complimentary movie rentals will provide you with the perfect environment for your beach getaway. You'll appreciate the convenience of the large kitchen pantry and built-in washer/dryer.
Beach Retreat is a lovely 44-unit mid-rise complex built in 2003 and conveniently located on the quieter section of Scenic Gulf Drive, away from the congested high-rise resorts but near all the Destin area's major attractions, activities and shopping. The large sidewalks along the shore are great for long walks and bike rides. The upscale Destin Commons Mall and Silver Sands Outlet (one of the largest outlet malls in the nation) are both only two miles away. Water sports including parasailing, jet skiing, kayaking and surfing are right at the beach. The Track, Big Kahuna's Water Park and other amusement attractions are just 4 miles to the west and another mile further west you will find Destin Harbor where you can enjoy a dolphin cruise or deep sea fishing.
For golfers, the area boasts sixty (that's right, 60!) premiere courses and is frequently mentioned as one of Golf Digests "Top Ten Best Golf Towns in America".
The Destin area also offers fabulous restaurant choices and two of the best are within walking distance of our condo at Pompano Joe's and Captain Dave's, both right on the gulf.
