My wife, daughter and her family, and I recently rented the Sandbag . The house was beautiful, clean, and had everything we needed to make the place feel like home (including internet). There was a short, convenient walk to the beach and our two grandchildren (ages 2 and 4) loved playing with the toys provided. We visited in early May, so it was quiet and not crowded. Unfortunately, the pool was closed for maintenance, but we hope to come back next year and enjoy the amenities. Thanks for the memories!

Just returned from a great week-end. We are a group of 7 women that have taken at least 20 trips together...so we have seen it all. We all LOVED this house. Our favorite part was that all of the bedrooms (with their own bathrooms) were downstairs. If someone wanted to get to bed early, or sleep in, it was no problem. The kitchen had everything we needed, and was easy to work in. Very clean and comfortable furniture. We never left the house, and loved every minute of it. We will be looking forward to going back soon!

We stayed at this lovely home for a full month, it was incredible!! The owners are very nice and easy to do business with. Everything is perfect, you just need to relax and have a wonderful time!, Beach is so close that you can feel the sea breeze! We would definitely rent this home again!!

We go to Galveston every year for Lonestar Rally and always rent a beach house. Three couples stayed at The Sand Bag this past weekend and we all loved the home. Each bedroom has its own bath and there is even a half bath off the kitchen. The kitchen has all the amenities you would want and the entire property is clean and very well kept. There is a short walk to the beach and a very nice view from the main deck. We really appreciated the fact that we could keep the motorcycles in the garage and the neighborhood was quiet. Joyce was wonderful to work with and we hope to return next year. Thank you for letting us rent your beautiful home.

We had a great time at The Sandbag! We were celebrating my friend's bachelorette party and the house couldn't have been more perfect for the 7 of us. Beautifully decorated and the location was excellent! My only suggestion is that the homeowner provide a welcome letter at the house with instructions regarding use of the Beach Club and pools, and what to do with trash and linens at the end of the stay. Some of the info was provided in the rental agreement but not all of it. We went to the bayside pool and lazy river and noticed everyone had wristbands on except our group. We were not asked to leave but the gate does require an access code which we did not have. Some folks were kind enough to let us in. There were some minor cleanliness issues but overall, it was an excellent house. We will definitely be back!

My cousin and I rented your beautiful home for our families and wanted to let you know that we had a wonderful time. It was comfortable and had everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The Sandbag is your home-away-from-home. It had everything! It is so comfortable and nicely decorated. The location is perfect. Easy to walk to the beach or pool. Quiet surroundings. Relaxing. We had 4 adults and 2 children under 3. We all had a great time and hope to return! Joyce and David were wonderful to work with.

We stayed here over the 4th of July holiday weekend (during hurricane Alex). It was perfect. We enjoyed the covered balconies during the rain and ventured out soon after the rain stopped. The house has great amenities that provided a very comfortable inside stay for 6 people the rainy first day. My infant son had a great time exploring the pond, the beach, the pool, and the lazy river.

We have enjoyed our stay like you wouldn't believe. 6 adults and 3 young kids fit perfectly in this house. We had one snafu (air conditioning went out) on Friday night, but the owners called it in and had someone out the following day; on a Saturday no less. We will be back.

We had a wonderful college reunion at this home. Four of us former classmates coming from Washington State to Washington DC decided on this as a central place to meet. The house and owners were wonderful. We thought we would be exploring the area, but it was so comfortable that we picked up movies, pulled out our cd’s from the car and just hung out-which was great, as we had not seen each other in years. From morning coffee on the deck to wine and appetizers in the living room, we felt as if we were at one of our places-without the urge to get up and make sure everything was perfect (which it was)! As we were all guests. Needed help getting on the internet, called the owners that evening and after a short tutorial, I was on. I shared that I was considering a second home and the advice, tips and encouragement was much appreciated. Plus, I received a welcome to call if I had more questions. Thank you-our comments in the guest book says it all... We would definitely stay again and recommend this to others.

All I can say is we had the most wonderful time. What a really great beach house. It is so beautiful and decorated adorably. My favorite thing is that it has 3 1/2 baths, that is so cool. We had coffee on one of the decks every morning. God Bless and Love you guys! Thanks so much.

This place is adorable! We love the little seaside decorations, and the music and dvd choices. The outdoor hammock chair was popular. Very relaxing to hear the water fountain, feel the ocean breeze and hang comfortably in the chair! Thanks very much! We loved our stay here!
