Barefoot Bungalow is a new, gorgously decorated beach home located within the community of the gated Coastal Grove Subdivision at Gulf Place, in the heart of Santa Rosa Beach which is enjoyed its Centennial Year this 2010. Located in the heart of South Walton County 's Scenic Corridor, Gulf Place is just steps away from the gorgeous white-sand beach. You can sit at any of the sidewalk cafés while having lunch and a glass of wine and watch a beautiful unobstructed view of the emerald green and turquoise waters of the Gulf of Mexico.
The Town Center’s central hometown location offers tree-lined streets, sidewalks and footpaths, with restaurants, unique boutique shopping, artist colony, day spa, and an outdoor pavilion featuring seasonal music and free movie offerings. Gulf Place is the perfect stop for a cup of coffee, lunch, or dinner as you make your way to and from the beach.
You will enjoy 2 pools just a short walk from your door. One of the pools, The Cabana has a sauna and both are heated in the winter. The Beach is just across 30-A where you will find showers, restrooms, and a picnic area via the Ed Walline Beach Park. Barefoot Bungalow is conveniently located only four minutes to Seaside, and 15 minutes to the heart of Destin.
We will give you access to the owners shed which contains bikes, beach chairs and beach toys as well as a wagon to pull kids, toys, etc.
This home features professionally appointed furnishings throughout, complete with a full kitchen including stainless appliances, large eat-in bar and granite countertops that make cooking for your crew a pleasure. And if you don’t want to cook inside, use the provided charcoal grill on the back patio. The open dining and living room provide a large dining room table and barstools for comfortably seating 8-12, a sofa that pulls out to sleep an additional 2 on its queen mattress, a 32 inch television with DVD player and all the channels you could watch from any point on the main floor along with a wireless modem and high speed internet access. This floor also features a half bath and complete laundry room just in case your kids go through as many clothes as ours do!
Barefoot Bungalow consists of 4 bedrooms. Each room has a televison, and its own full bathroom. Each floor has it's own balcony.
The 4 bedrooms are configured as follows: 2 Master Suites each with a King Bed, 1 Guest Suite with Queen Bed, and 1 Guest Suite with 2 twin beds and trundles to sleep a total of 4 if needed.

Owner's Map of Coastal Grove
We are 2 best friends form Atlanta, Georgia who grew up visiting the beaches of South Walton. We built this home with the intention of enjoying it ourselves. Here is what we had in mind. We wanted to be on 30-A close to but just a bit removed from the hustle of Destin. We wanted to be very close to the beach but enjoy privacy when we were not on the beach. We wanted within walking distance restaurants, an ice cream shop a coffee shop and boutiques. We wanted access to really nice pools where we could relax. We wanted upgraded furnishings so we coudl feel a little pampered on our vacations. We wanted a fully stocked kitchen so that we could cook a gourmet meal or two on our vacation.
We are happy to say that we've accomplished all of our goals and then some! We love it and continue to love exploring the area.

The house was perfect for our large family, including the grandparents. It is beautifully decorated and so new and clean. The location was ideal. The house is private, but we enjoyed a short walk to the beach every day. The pool was great too! There are so many great restaurants close by. The new Publix was only about a mile away and very convenient. We can't wait to go back!

What a fabulous home....we've spent the past 2 Memorial Days vacationing at this house and love the convenience to the summer concerts, eating at the Smiling Fish Cafe, as well as the beach and pool. We had no trouble finding a spot in the sand for the week and even tried the new little Italian place north and to the left a block down on 393. We are looking forward to returning next year with friends and enjoying the Florida sunshine!

This is a fantastic house to stay in and in a new development! This was the first time I had held a full family vacation and it went off without a hitch. I have used VRBO before and have to admit this is a fantastic house owned by fantastic people. Communication with the owners to arrange everything could not be better and the follow up after our stay was just as good. This is a classy, well decorated house with all the conveniences and close to the pool and the beach. Honestly, if you are looking for a NICE place to enjoy your vacation that is quiet and close to everything this is it. We will be back next year and now do not need to search through all the listings anymore! THANK YOU

You can't go wrong staying here. We highly recommend this home to families. We are a family of four and enjoyed spreading out in this spacious home, it could definitely fit many more,with two rooms having King Size beds. Everything is new and upscale, the beds are very comfortable. This house has everything you could need with every detail thought out such as, front loading washer, TV's in every room, plenty of hot water if you all are using the shower at the same time, gourmet cooking utensils, etc. If you don't want to spend your vacation driving around you can park your car in the driveway and walk to the beach and nearby stores. There is a lot of new development in this area, so it looks like there will be more stores coming. If you like to stay in and cook dinners after a long day at the beach, there is a brand new Publix (supermarket) about 5 miles away. This area of Santa Rosa Beach was not very crowded while we visited the last week of March 2007. We used the Ed Walline beach access and tried a few other nearby beaches, they all had clean white sand, trash receptacles, life guards and public restrooms. However, if you don't want to use the public restrooms you can walk back to the house which is less than a 1,500 feet. The pool is brand new and has privacy fences. You will enjoy this house and the friendly owners who were very helpful. Have fun on your vacation!
